Welcome to JOYFUL REFLECTIONS. Also welcome to MARCH!!!! My header picture this month is a photo I took of the pretty Crocus blooms in our yard... The Crocuses and Daffodils are the first signs of spring here in Tennessee. I am definitely ready for SPRING...

Oh---How I LOVE Roses!!!!

One of our best bloomers,   SEDONA  (photo taken 5/22/19)
Dear Friends,   Hope you are having a nice September... Here in Tennessee,   we are going through a DROUGHT ---which is even worse due to our unusually high temperatures this month.... September has been much hotter than any other month in the summer this year.... Our leaves are dying and just falling off.   Reminds me of last year when we had very little Fall Colors here.... Makes me SAD!

BUT---Hopefully this post will make us all SMILE....  We have had a good year with our ROSES --and I probably have about four more blog posts to show you as we go deeper and deeper into Fall.    Today's post is (with a few exceptions) a post showing your some of our Roses in GROUPS....

Sit back and get a 'cuppa' ---and ENJOY...

STRIKE IT RICH  (5/23/19)

 EIFFEL TOWER (6/3/19)

FRAGRANT CLOUD  (5/23/19)

SWEET FREEDOM (5/10/19)

ABOUT FACE  (5/25/19)

A very interesting ROSE since all three of these roses in this photo are the SAME ROSE;  At different stages in its life, it turns different colors.   This is RIO SAMBA  (5/25/19)

QUEEN ELIZABETH (5/27/19)

HELEN TRAUBEL  (5/30/19)

TOUCH OF CLASS (6/9/19)

BEWITCHED (6/1/19)

MELODY PARFUMME  (6/1/19)

SUMMER SURPRISE (6/17/19)
Okay---that's enough for today!!!    I love seeing roses in groups as well as individually (either in buds or open)...... Ah Shucks---I just love our ROSES....

As you can tell --if you looked at the dates---most of these group roses were blooming in May or June...IF you ever visit us here at our home,   come at that time of year... The 'first' group of roses is usually the prettiest  (especially in groups)....

Have an awesome week ahead and pray for RAIN in Tennessee.

Hugs,

It seems like this year everyone is getting too much rain or not enough. Your roses are absolutely beautiful.

Your roses are stunning Betsy. Isn't the weather something this year? You have drought, here in Nebraska things are still underwater and it's rained a lot since we arrived for our visit. A strange year indeed.
Blessings,
Betsy

You got photos which are just as beautiful as the roses themselves.

Interesting about the roses being different colors at different stages. I never noticed before. Sure hope your drought breaks soon.

Wow - your roses are spectacular!! I especially liked Touch of Class, Melody Perfume, and Summer Surprise. Your husband is extra special to plant all those roses and care for them. I have had roses in the past and I loved them but I didn't like the pruning and constantly fighting june bugs and black spot. I'm sure I will enjoy your next post on more roses. Praying you get some rain.

Betsy, Lovely roses for sure. As for rain, the plateau has had a lot more than we have in the south valley, but then again since we've had no rain all month, that isn't saying much! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

These are all gorgeous. You know how much I love roses. My favourite is the Rio Samba. That's a bouquet in one plant.

Love all these pretty pictures!! I love 'touch of class' best and also the 'melody' ones because they look "ruffly" to me. You have many beautiful varieties! Which was your very first one?

I never see a rose without thinking of my grandmother. I was young when she passed away, but one thing that I do know it that she loved roses. These are all absolutely gorgeous. Goo is so good and HIS creations are stunning..

Your roses are beautiful and you have so many varieties to enjoy. Roses do well in our garden too. I love to see them change colour from bud to open flower. Even as the petals fade they're still pretty. My favourite in this set is Melody Parfumme. I hope that you get the rain that you need.

Hello Betsy
I had just made a nice cup of tea, so I did indeed sit back and really enjoyed looking at all of your lovely roses.

I do hope you get rain soon, the weather worldwide seems so mixed up at the moment.

Blessings.

All the best Jan

Dear Betsy, thank you for sharing the beauty you look out upon each day. I especially like Eiffel Tower because I like the single petal--like a wild rose. Peace.

Oh... me too, me too! I've always loved roses. And I loved their smell. It's sad for me that I can no longer enjoy their scent. Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos, Betsy.
