Oh wow, Betsy. I remember that you said you grew up in Big Stone Gap. What an honor to have a movie made about "your" town.

Betsy, I hope that 'your' movie does well! They won't be doing an uplifting movie about my hometown anytime soon as it's biggest surviving industry is the state prison... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

I still think the movie would have been better (looking) if they had asked you to be in it!

Hope it turns out to be a good one.

I plan on seeing this movie in honor of you. I only wish that the director would have called you to come be a part of the movie.... This would have made it even GREATER

How fun! My hometown is a tiny little place in Iowa. I can't imagine a movie being made there...but you never know!
Blessings,
Betsy

Too bad you couldn't have been an extra in the movie. Bet it will be like going home for you. Wish I had a theater near by. I do remember the book and enjoyed it a lot.

Hi Betsy, lovely post. This sounds like our kind of movie so will definitely try to see it. How lovely that it is from where you spent your childhood. Makes it even extra special.

I thought I had left a message before but realize that I didn't hit the publish button as I was pulled away from the computer for a while, and then the day got away from me.

I would like to see this. There are so few movies that are fit to watch these days, but this one looks pretty good. Thanks for the tip about my email address, Betsy. I think I've got it fixed now.

Wow- how cool to see a movie about your home town! I haven't been to the theater since Mark's surgery, but there are several exceptional movies out that I would like to see. I may have to wait for all to go to dvd.
