Welcome to JOYFUL REFLECTIONS. Also welcome to MARCH!!!! My header picture this month is a photo I took of the pretty Crocus blooms in our yard... The Crocuses and Daffodils are the first signs of spring here in Tennessee. I am definitely ready for SPRING...

A Walk in the Glade

Yesterday (Feb. 7) was a gorgeous winter day in Fairfield Glade.  SO---George and I took our cameras and went for a walk around a couple of our local lakes.  Besides getting some good exercise,  we enjoyed being out on a beautiful day!  Here are some pictures that we took along our way!!!  The sky was a brilliant BLUE ---and the reflections in the water were fabulous!!!  Click on the pictures for larger views.

You can tell that there are no leaves on our trees this time of year...  How do you like these reflections???

George took this picture of me ---and I was squinting since I was looking straight into the sun...  How do you like my camera vest????  I love it since  it carries my camera for me!!!

It was so wonderful walking beside this little cascade!!!

I love to take pictures of George as he is busy getting 'up close and personal'  with his camera....

Here is another beautiful picture of the lake and reflections.

And here is another view --as we walked around the lakes.

Finally,  here is my favorite picture of the day... George captured this one of the fountain ---showing off a rainbow... Neat, huh????

Hope you enjoyed going on our walk with us..

Have a blessed Wednesday wherever you are and whatever you do!

Hugs,
Betsy

Not a breeze in sight to mar the reflection photos! Excellent! Love that shade of blue and how it is reflected in the water. Glad you got a shot of that rainbow, George. We had rainbows playing in our living room as the sun was here and there peeking through the verticals. Our granddaughter had fun pointing them out. I know, I should have taken a picture too! Thanks for the lovely walk - I needed that!

Great first shot of the trees all lined up. I enjoy reflections, of trees most of all. Then again I just adore trees in general. Breaks my heart when people cut them down because not only are trees beautiful, but they do so much for us. I'm sure you know.

A beautiful walk Betsy! The reflections with that blue sky as a background are just gorgeous!

In comparison to your beautiful day mine today is a white/gray sky with very fine falling snow.

Have a great day!

You two are the best at capturing such lovely sights. What a gorgeous place you live in. George may have been getting up closer, but also, he might have been giving thanks for being able to enjoy the glorious work of nature. Yes, I still do all my yard work. I love being in the yard when the weather is nice. I am not sure how much longer I will be able to do so.

Hi Betsy, That is the one thing I will miss about not living there in the Glade - all those glorious lakes. Of course my two favorites are St. George and Kirkstone. The most walkable are Mirror and Catherine. Have a super nice day tomorrow - cold weather forecast for the rest of the week and especially so on Saturday.

Good Morning, Betsy!!
I have just discovered your wonderful blog. Good News!!...
So, I decided to join your wonderful site with inspirational pictures and positive thoughts to ponder with our human dimension.
I hope you also join my site, which is My Journals Blog, so that we may get connected in Blogland.
I have been looking through your older posts, and telling you the truth, I just love Southern States, such as Tennessee and North Carolina. Those images of yours stole my heart. I also love the beach in North Carolina. I make plans to buy a Country Home there with horses and other animals, if that is God's will. I also make plans to visit Nashville, TN., after my hubby retires from his medical practice. My dear family, my daughter and 3 grandchildren were all born in New York, where they presently live and work. I am a freelance writer, poet, lyricist, an artist in many different ways. I sing too!! I also compose songs whenever a tune catches my muse...
I'm always looking for inspirational blogs that could bring joy and peace into my heart.
My heart still holds big dreams, which began in my childhood. I am a grandmother, and about to hit the 6th decade in a couple of years. My hubby is a 71-year-old Medical Surgeon from overseas, where we met him long ago...
I am an American lady grandmother.
Well, I hope you may take a look and join my site, Betsy. It's my real pleasure to have met you in Blogland. I post my poems, lyrics, stories, pictures, random thoughts and other things in My Journals.
God may bless you, and those you love, Betsy!!
All the best in every way,
Poet Starry Dawn.

Beautiful photos, Betsy. The reflections are remarkable. And, oh my goodness, you sure do live in a gorgeous place! You are so fortunate to have such a peaceful place to walk. As much as I love our little hilltop home, I wish we had more places to walk nearby. If I lived at Fairfield Glade, I'd probably be out there every day.
