2011 Daylilies in our Yard--Part I

As I told you in my Lily post recently,  we missed alot of our blooming Lilies and Day Lilies this year due to our 3 week trip.  However,  we did/do have 14 different varieties blooming --so today,  I will share with you 7 of them.  Above is BAMA BOUND  (for all of your Alabama fans).  Below are more.

CUSTARD CANDY

BRIGHT SUNSET

ELEGANT CANDY

FOOLED ME  (a new Day Lily in our yard this year)

JANICE BROWN

ROSIE MEYER

What is your favorite one????   I love them all--but my favorite out of this group is Janice Brown...

Have a great day.
Hugs,

I love the Bright Sunset as one look, it made me smile for its rich orange's warmth. Overall, they are all lovely and pretty in their shapes and color tones. Your home has so much happiness with blooming flowers and pecking birds!

Good Morning! I'm BAAACK!!!!

Sorry I've been so absent but gosh, it's been a busy couple of weeks but things are settling down-

I love day lilies and all the beautiful varieties; I only wish they stayed longer. I have realized that if you cut them back after they bloom, you can get another bloom out of them before season's end though.

My favorite is Janice Brown as well, then the Custard Candy; just he neame conjurs up lovely thoughts, doesn't it?
Missed you my friend; hugs to you!

I agree with you: Janice Brown.
I have 4 new types this year and will have to do a post on them.
I splurged and ordered some through the mail last year and simply love them.
I'm glad you have gotten to see some of yours bloom although that trip sounds certainly worth missing some.

I sure wish they were month-lilies instead of day-lilies! I love the uniqueness of each one, but Bama Bound kind of took my fancy on this round of beautiful photos! Have an awesome day!

Hi Betsy, I like the orange-red tone of that Rosie Meyer. Have a super nice day!

Betsy, you all grow the prettiest beds of flowers. Love them all. I love the dark rich color of the BAMA lily. (As long as that is not a variety of O'Bama) Hahahahahah!

Glorious Day Lilies but that first one is my favorite!

It would be hard to pick a favorite...I really love them all. I have got to get more of these...there is a place just up the highway that sells lots of them.

oh boy, I'd be hard pressed to choose a fave, the Janice Brown is definitely beautiful, they all are, but I'm partial to the Fooled Me Day Lily... =)

Stay cool... it doesn't look like you guys are in the Excessive Heat Warning today, but be careful, anyway... it's a scorcher here today... heat index is 102 at 10:30am & the humidity is 62% YiKeS! =0

YES, Janice Brown is my favorite, too. The first one is so deep and intense, and it looks like velvet. Well, I knew you had a lot of lilies, but if you missed a lot and STILL have 14, that's a LOT!! How many alltogether?

Oh my...they are all gorgeous. I think I would have to pick Bama bound...but why must I choose???

You've given us a tough assignment in asking us to pick a favorite from these beauties. I think my favorite of the images is Bama Bound. But that's more of a favorite photo than a favorite flower. :)

They're all beautiful but Bama Bound takes the cake!

The crimson red of Bama Bound is gorgeous (and that's from a GA Bulldog fan). My other favorite is the last one, Rosie Meyer.
