Did you make someone SMILE today?

Dear Blog Friends,   As you know,  I love our Day Lilies --but didn't realize that I hadn't posted any of them at all until Sept. 28... Click to see that first Day Lily post: The Link

When thinking about Day Lilies,  I think about all of the blooms they produce for us...  No matter what the circumstances (too hot, too dry,  too rainy/stormy, critters nibbling on them,  etc.), the Day Lilies always bloom and continue to smile at us (and make us smile).

So when thinking about the Day Lilies (and all flowers) ---I have to ask myself what have I done to make someone smile??????  We all have good and bad times in our lives. Even at times when we are  sad, weary, tired, sick or just 'down' ---we still need to smile and share that smile with those around us...  AND --if we do that,  it will actually make us feel better also!!!

Hope you enjoy more pictures from this summer's  Day Lilies...  Some of our oldest plants really put on a big show each year... Those older plants are in the bed near the road, which I call our Road Bed. Each of those plants give us about 50 or more blooms each.... AMAZING...

Hope you 'mouse-over' --or place your mouse on each picture without clicking,  to get information about each picture... I always enjoy sharing my pictures ---but I always want to give a short explanation about each one....  There's nothing worse (to me) than someone putting a bunch of pictures on their Blog  with no information or explanation....

Can you pick a favorite (or 2-3) of this group?  My favorite is Francis Joiner --since I love the Double Day Lilies --and the color of this one is so pretty...

Have an awesome week ---and don't forget to make someone  SMILE!!!!

Hugs,

Betsy💝💛💚💕

Good Morning Betsy. All of the lilies are beautiful, but I think my favorite is the Apache War Dance. I really like the vivid color of this one. I would love to be your neighbor, so I could look out and enjoy all of the awesomeness of what you have blooming in your yard. Hope you enjoy a Blessed day. hugs from Texas.

The Apache War Dance got me. It is bold but softened by the ruffles. Hope you have a wonderful day in that beautiful yard of yours.

Betsy I usually can find one I like better than the others but all of these are beautiful. I could not just pick one. BTW your pictures always put a smile on my face. Thanks for sharing with all of us. God Bless!

Toss up between Winberry and Hot Lips. There are lovely. The apartment complex had an assortment of day lily blooming when we moved in. The other day the landscaper was trimming all the old growth back for the winter. I do remember that chore in the garden. Do you and George tend the gardens together?

Another incredible series of daylilies to treat our eyes! I see the blogger had brought back adding caption option for photos and I guess you know it too. Hope you and George are doing well and staying safe as well.

Take care Betsy

Your posts always make me smile.

Betsy, Making someone smile is a worthy goal. Unfortunately, I only see the Physical Therapy folks lately and I can't tell if they're smiling on not! Masks make it harder. Once in a while I can make Laurie smile...so that's something positive. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

The Apache War Dance is so vivid! The Francis Joiner is a beauty though. I think we make ourselves feel better when we smile and uplift others, too. Unfortunately, my smile is mostly hidden now, but I'm hoping my eyes express it too.

I love them all! Thank you for sharing with us and I'm sending you a virtual HUGE smile.
