July ROSES in our Yard 2016

Lots of blooms (including some Day Lilies) ---taken 7/13/16
Today I'll share some of the MANY different varieties and colors of ROSES blooming in our yard --just THIS month...Even with the heat, humidity,  lack of rain --and Japanese Beetles (YES--we struggle with them here in Summer)-----our roses still manage to put on a wonderful show for us...

Hope you enjoy seeing these beauties... As I say on Facebook most every single day,  I wish YOU could be here to see and smell the roses yourself...We are truly blessed.

Hi Betsy
How good is the summer, isn't it? It's flowers are a blessing in your garden, I love to see them! Here we are still in winter, a light winter with timid flowers...

Have a nice week <°(((<

We had so much rain earlier, my roses really out did them selves. However, do not have as many beauties as you. All are simply a perfect rose.

Your roses are prettier than anything in a florist shop!
Question for you - - - do you spray your roses for bugs? What do you use? What's your best fertilizer? This is the first yard we have had where you can't grow hardly anything - - - except lots of weeds.
Anyway, I have a knock-out rose bush that has holes in the leaves - - and it's barely growing. I have added more Miracle Grow potting soil around the base of where we planted it last summer. Guess I am the only person who could almost kill one of those.
Believe it or not, we had a very pretty yard in west TN (Dyersburg) - - - but I sure do like it better here with the mountains and rocky clay soil.

Beautiful Roses!
I must do some research on the Sedona, it's gorgeous and one I haven't seen here. Most of the others we have had at one time of another.

Betsy, Beautiful roses as always... My favorites are Sundance, Apricot Nectar and Aromatherapy! We view the deer in our neighborhood as helping us control our bushes...we don't fight them. We appreciate them and then try to plant things they don't like to eat. My wife loves hostas but we've pretty much given up on them! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

I started listing my faves, then just gave up! There are too many I love! Just a few are Sundance, sheer Magic, Wildfire. You do not post much anymore, do you? I hope you are not on the way out of Blog Land, like others. I think you are switching to Facebook?

A big time Happy Birthday to your son. I am impressed how lovely your roses look even with all the demons you have to deal with. I am leaning towards Love and Peace as a favorite since it is something we all need right now.

Lovely roses, Betsy. I get to enjoy other people's gardens now as I walk around a near by lake. Not missing gardening at this point. I do plan to fill a pot or two for the balcony but other items have taken precedence. Today my goal is to get the photo book done from our European vacation.

What beautiful roses! Do you think the Japanese beetles have been worse than usual this year? Here they have been worse than usual in my garden.

All beautiful despite problems with critters. You both do a great job in your garden.

Absolutely stunning roses. And for unknown reason the Japanese beetles have disappeared here in southeastern Minnesota. And not miss one little bit...:)

Hi Betsy, you and George remind me of my Aunt and Uncle. Their rose garden was breathtaking. Those two knew everything about roses. I am still angry at my sister for taking the garden out. She is such a negative nelly and planted grass instead. It is so sad to visit her as that rose garden will forever be in my heart and mind. I bought a little red rose called Betty Boop. Well lo and behold I wonder if they crossed it with my Apricot Princess rose because the two of them are sprouting tiny apricot rose buds! Our other three rose bushes seem to be taken to us. I am going to have to get advice from you and George. Any secret food you fed them? I have so many different products I have purchased. Just don't know where to start. I really enjoyed stopping by here today. eNjoy your week. xo
