Christmas at Callahan's in Calabash, North Carolina 12-1-15

Dear Blog Friends,   I just 'had' to share this fantastic Christmas Shop with you,  All of these pictures were taken at Callahan's in Calabash,  North Carolina during our visit on 12-1-15.   I have been to several Christmas Shops in my life ---but this may be the BEST of all!!!!!   They have room after room after room of everything you can imagine that can be used as Christmas decorations.  We only took a few pictures to share ---but there are also rooms full of Nutcrackers of all shapes and sizes.  They have a huge room/area with Christmas Villages/houses,  etc... There was an area with religious decorations --including angels--of all kinds.  The entire store was just so amazing ---so I wanted to share it with you.  I hope you can get there sometime! I was like a child in a candy store!!!!!  Loved it.

The UPSIDE-DOWN Christmas Tree  (I would NEVER have one of these. You?)

AND--- somehow,  for some reason,  one of their cute little snowmen ended up in our car..   AND---a cute little Cardinal  'flew' into the car also...  Guess the snowman and birdie want to be in our little home in Tennessee at Christmas-time...  How 'bout that?????

We have been traveling a lot recently----Tennessee,  North Carolina,  Florida,  South Carolina,  North Carolina,  Tennessee.......   CRAZY --but it was GREAT.

Hope all of you enjoy December ----and remember to keep the Christmas Love and Joy in your life all year --and not just in December!!!!!   God Bless You.  Merry Christmas.

Hugs,

I'm glad you like Callahan's -- it's easy to get lost in there. Are you sure only the snowman and Cardinal are the only things that are following you home?

Oh, what a fun place!! I'd love to do some shopping there!! I'm looking for all the fun shops as I have become a grandmother for the first time and at my age that's pretty amazing, but I'm not too old to be thrilled silly with my little grandson!! Looks as though you've been having lots of fun as always!! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful holiday season!!!

Oh my! How would I ever be able to make up my mind on only one or two items to take home. This place looks amazing.

That store would overwhelm me with so many things to see. It looks beautiful and so do you Betsy. I collect Angels, so I'm sure that would be what would find it's way into our car. I'm surprised you stopped with a bird and a snowman. Willpower is what you have. :-)
Blessings,
Betsy

Betsy, What an impressive and also overwhelming Christmas Store! The biggest one that we've been in was in Frankenmuth Michigan... My head was spinning. We have so many Christmas related items that we have a special storage closet for it all and its packed! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

What a wonderful store, like being in a candy store for sure. I can understand why a few treasures ended up in your car.

Wow they sure do have a lot of stock. It would be fun to look around.

Too much for me. But glad you had a ball there. Sounds like you are having a great time travelling round the states.

I'm trying to imagine storing what doesn't get sold! Whew!

Oh my goodness! It's almost overwhelming. I would enjoy the angel room. I think it would take awhile to just walk around in there to see what was there. Is this place open year round?

Thanks for sharing. I'm wondering, if something else didn't follow you home from that store, based on George's comment above. :-) I wouldn't be surprised at all, knowing George.

Happy Holidays to the two of you ~ FlowerLady

Wow, it is a beautiful Christmas shop! So many pretty items. My sister will be moving near Calabash in April, she is having a house built near the beach. Great post and photos. Have a happy day!

Oh my, where does one start in that store? It reminds me of Bonner's a store in Michigan - just a lot bigger. Glad a snowman and cardinal followed you home.

Betsy - a dear friend of mind retired to Calabash this past summer. I will have to send her the link to your blog and see if she's been to this store yet.

Now that is a Christmas store. As much as you guys like to travel, full time RVing might have been a good fit.

I'm afraid all that would overwhelm me. Too much to choose from and even too much to see everything. But I'm sure that you were delighted. Have a wonderful holiday!

That looks amazing. Even more amazing is the thought that you got out of there with only two items to take home.

That looks like the kind of store you could spend hours in and still not see it all. I'm glad you had such a fun time there.

It is beautiful looking at all those goodies, but it is so difficult for me to choose what i want if there's a lot of nice stuff. I laughed at George's comment above! Now Happy Christmas Betsy and George, wish you all the best!

I have neve seen a place filled with decors and Christmas things, must be a joy posing for photographs. I saw an upside tree a week ago from the web and it was being advertised as space saving tree, interesting but really strange. Anyway, blog hopping in here!

Hi Betsy, Glad you enjoyed seeing the shop and getting the nice decoration ornaments for your Christmas tree! Seems like a wonderful spot. Have a wonderful coming week!

St Nick Nack.....is that your name now? One picture shows you with that over your head. I've never seen so many Christmas decorations. It would be my luck to knock one over and start a chain reaction. :)

Hi Betsy!!!
You always bringing us news. Here in Brazil, we don't have so many Christmas shops as well, at least not so impressive! I think Christmas combines more with bright snow and winter, not with the summer heat we have in the Southern Hemisphere. Certainly the Santa Claus could not keep all his red and warm clothing here, he would have to come prepared for the beach!!!

I'm so far behind in reading blogs, but I sure am glad I didn't miss this one. What a great place this is. Loved the photos. You both look marvelous.

As far as the upside down tree goes, I have have a friend who puts one up every year. I've never seen it, but she always has to tell us about it. I always wonder "why?" Why would you put up an upside down tree? Seems crazy to me, but I guess some folks just like to be different.

Enjoy this wonderful time of the year and thank you for all your prayers and well wishes on my eye surgery recovery. Now I'm looking forward to having the other eye done after Christmas.
