Welcome to JOYFUL REFLECTIONS. Also welcome to MARCH!!!! My header picture this month is a photo I took of the pretty Crocus blooms in our yard... The Crocuses and Daffodils are the first signs of spring here in Tennessee. I am definitely ready for SPRING...

Late October Colors In and Around our Yard and Area --2015

So many different colors here (10/27/15)
We had a gorgeous October here in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee... I already posted some pictures from the first part of the month ---so today,  I'll share some from the middle of the month to the end.

I'll also show you some FLOWER surprises in addition to the pretty Fall Leaves/Colors.. We have had a warm Fall,  with only one/two nights with temperatures in the 30's  ---so our Roses and Daylilies and Irises have really enjoyed blooming this month and during September.   I love having RE-BLOOMING flowers ---and it's so special to see them bloom during these couple of months... Of course,  our fantastic ROSES will bloom until frost ---so they just continue putting on a show for us also.

We took a trip to West Virginia the week of October 19 ---so we missed the 'actual'  BEST week for colors here in our area  (the colors here were actually prettier than what we saw most of the time in West VA).   BUT---we still saw beauty in so many places off and on all month... Hope you enjoy today's COLORS.  Be sure to click on them for enlargements.

BURNING BUSH near our home--10/24/15;   We have LOTS of these in our area and the reds are so pretty this time of year.

BLATANT IRIS   (10/26/15)

In trying to capture the colors on our trees,  I also managed to get the flag AND an ABOUT FACE ROSE in full bloom.  (10/26/15)

Beautiful Fall Colors near our home  (10/28/15)

WALTZ ACROSS TEXAS IRIS  (10/26/15) ---I love this yellow and white color in this one.  The purple and yellow ones behind this one are Blatant Irises.

I took this one on a walk near one of the lakes here in Fairfield Glade on 10/14/15...

I love all of the Fall Colors ---but am partial to RED.. This tree is in our front yard.  (10/24/15)

DARING SPIRIT ROSE which George surprised me with one morning (10/27/15);  Most of you know that George brings me a rose inside to enjoy most every morning.  Right now there are 7 of them in the house blooming --just for me!!!!!   Isn't Daring Spirit gorgeous?

Our PINK DOGWOOD Leaves in Fall,  but they are definitely not PINK now!!!!! ha  (10/24/15)

LEMON REFLECTION IRIS  (10/31/15)

More beautiful Fall Colors near our house (10/25/15)

Another picture taken on our walk near the lake (10/14/15);  Don't you love the reflections in this one?

VETERAN'S HONOR ROSE  (10/24/15)

FLOOR SHOW IRIS (10/26/15)
WELL---since we walk twice a day now in our area,  I have LOTS more Fall pictures to share sometime from our walks including walks along the golf course.  SO---maybe (when I have time),  I'll share more of our gorgeous Fall pictures with you.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing not only the pretty leaf colors --but also the flowers still blooming in our yard... They will continue to bloom as long as there is not a freeze/frost... So far---so good!!!!!!

Have a fabulous week/month... Thanksgiving is always one of my favorite seasons --and I like to enjoy it before even thinking about Christmas... But --I love Christmas also,  so we have a couple of wonderful months ahead of us... ENJOY LIFE to its fullest.

Hugs,

Beautiful fall colors. I love the ones with the reflections in the water. I also love the red leaves but it seems that around here it's mostly yellow and orange

You live in quite the exotic land to have such flowers still blooming, and such great fall colours! Our colours have been subdued, and our world is brown.

Hello Betsy. Thank you for sharing your Fall photos. They're stunning especially the ones showing the reds of the burning bushes and the reflections in the water of the lake. The rose that George brought in for you is beautiful. We're enjoying a sunny Autumn day here in the UK and still have roses, carnations and other flowers blooming too. Have a lovely day yourselves.

Betsy, you live in a paradise! I think I've said it before...
Meanwhile, here in Brazil we are entering the spring season, but it is not as colorful as autumm there... Observe nature in all its nuances is a gift, isn't it!?

Your pictures are just glorious, Betsy! Fall is so beautiful in your area and it's wonderful that you can see -- really see -- the beauty and record it for all of us! I love four season climates though I only lived in such an area - Chicago -- when I was in college (having grown up in Los Angeles and returned there after college and now living near Phoenix). I love the brilliant colors of the leaves and the crispness in the air. How well I remember! (I even used to love the snow in Chicago, though not the wind!)

So beautiful Betsy. Your photos make the iphone pictures I take of the leaves and scenery here look pathetic! :-) Thank you for sharing with us all the beautiful part of the country you live in and your joy of life.
Blessings,
Betsy

Spectacular Betsy! Your yard and your photos! I love this time of year - chasing autumn, I call it!

Sure would be great if after the fall color show, the leaves would just stay on the trees and turn green again in the Spring.

Boy Betsy you really do have a myriad of colors there don't you?! The pictures are amazing so I can only imagine the naked eye. That's the one thing we don't get in Florida but I'll just enjoy everyone's photos on here and FB..!!

Absolutely beautiful photos of the fall color, Betsy. It has been a lovely, mild fall here also, and there are some flowers still blooming that are usually gone by this time of year.

Hi Betsy

Isn't fall so glorious? I can never get enough of the beautiful colors of the leaves and the golden slant of light this time of the year. You are fortunate to still have so many beautiful roses and irises growing i l get together with your friends in West Virginia last month--that looked like a fun trip for you all!

Linda said...

Such brilliance! And your roses are spectacular!

I'm drooling over the fall colors. Should I share mine with you? Ok, they're green and a few spots of brown. HA.

Hi Betsy, Very cheery views of the Glade. Love your flowers, too. Have a tremendously nice day tomorrow!

So many gorgeous photos Betsy! So much color.
We just had our first cool day here in about 9 months. Cold and rainy for a change... Even with the change, I'm sure the palm trees won't change colors.

Janice K said...

Wow! That first picture looks like a painting....So many colors blended together. I think I'd frame it.

Patricia Paschal Denton said...

Wow those photos are amazing!. Thanks for identifying the red bushes. We have those here but I never knew what they were called. Now that it's November the season will soon give away to winter. I can't believe it's almost holiday time.

Cheryl @ TFD said...

The fall colors are just gorgeous in your area. Some spots had some nice color here, but overall the colors weren't that great this year. My daughter's boyfriend's parents are out your way this week and said the color there was beautiful.

Take care and have a nice week...what's left of it. These days are flying by. I can't believe we're into November already!

Linda G. said...

The colors of your trees and flowers are just beautiful. I am seeing a lot of brown around here, so the vibrant colors in the pictures in your blog were most welcome.

Wow can't believe such a pretty flower is blooming this late. Love the bright colors of the trees! After all the cold we have had we now are bear 80???? I think I am ready for winter lol

Kay said...

Oh wow! Your photos are absolutely spectacular, Betsy. I've been gone to Chicago, Pennsylvania and Maryland for the last 5 weeks or so and just returned a couple of days ago with a horrendous cold. I'm recuperating in bed right now.

I saw gorgeous fall colors everywhere we went and took a lot of photos too. I'm not in any condition to work on posts yet though. I LOVE your roses and irises, but especially your roses. Your George is just the sweetest husband around!

Linda at To Behold The Beauty said...

Wow, Betsy! These are all gorgeous. A couple of favorites are the Blatant Iris and the Daring Spirit Rose. What a sweet act it is for George to give you a special rose each day. You are blessed.

Beth said...

Love all the colors but I too am partial to the reds. My favorite of the flowers is the Daring Spirit Rose. I used to have a burning bush in Cincinnati and would like to have one here. But my flower beds are going to be changed once we add on the addition, so I'll wait until it's done. We won't start to March and I doubt it will be done by fall.

Bill S. said...

What beautiful colors you have captured here. Ours is about to turn white, but it is time for the soil to rest for a season.

Dee said...

Dear Betsy, I've never seen Iris bloom in the fall. But then I've never lived in the South. How lovely they are and how delicate. And the colors of your fall are gorgeous--all aflame. Beauty surround you. Peace.

Sally Wessely said...

The colors bring such a lift to the spirit. I can't believe you still have all those flowers blooming. I envy the roses in bloom. The trees are just stunning.

You have captured some of fall's splendour. I loved the reflection photo and was surprised by the Vet's rose. Like you we have had a mild weather even now, today it is 14C and that's uncommon for mid November.

Lovely pics, as usual. This fall has been warm here too. I love those burning bushes - don't they make fall just come alive? Strange for me to see iris in fall, but so glad you can post for all of us to enjoy!
