Roses in our Yard---Part VI

I am trying to show at least one bloom of all of the different varieties of Hybrid Tea and Grandiflora Roses in our yard this Spring/Summer/Fall.  We had about 55 different varieties, and as of today,  I have shown you 43 different ones.  If you missed some of my other Rose posts,  go to my sidebar,  scroll down to labels and click on Roses 2011.

Today,  I will show you 7 more.  Above is one named  SOUTHERN BELLE.  George likes to say that this is the Betsy Rose --since I'm from the south!!!!! Below are more of our beauties. Hope you enjoy them!!!!

APRIL IN PARIS

LOVE AND PEACE

PINK PEACE

APRICOT NECTAR

RIO SAMBA (all of them)
Here is a perfect example of how so many of our roses change colors as they age... Isn't that just amazing?    Oh --how I love Roses!!!!

GEMINI

Hope you enjoyed seeing more of our beautiful Roses.  I am so blessed to have George in my life ---since he is the "Rose Man"....  I just get to enjoy and SMELL them!!!!

Again, please forgive me for not leaving comments yesterday.  We are just very busy right now... AND---we had an awesome family dinner to celebrate Dad Adams' 99th birthday last night, at Dad's favorite restaurant,  Cracker Barrel.  He enjoyed it--and so did we!

Have a rosey day!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

The "Betsy Rose" is very beautiful...so delicate looking with its soft buttery color. And well named, too.

I can never pick a favorite when you put up pictures like these. I'll go through them and think "that one is my favorite" but the next time I look I'll pick another one. :)

I always enjoy your rose posts. That yellow one is fitting for you--you always have a sunny smile on your face in your photos and you have such a sunny disposition---yellow: sun.
My favorite this time is the apricot one.
So glad last night went well. That's awesome to be able to celebrate a man of such age--a delight, huh?!:>)

Bev loves to grow roses buy has given up due to the constant battle with Black Spot fungus - I didn't see any on yours. I may have to stop by some day so she can drool over yours.

So glad George's dad had such a nice celebration. A friends mother turns 99 this month also. Wow.
I am impressed you still have roses. The heat beat mine up.

yellow roses are my favorite of roses and most of these have yellow in them. so beautiful. isn't it amazing how they start at tiny buds and evolve into perfect shapes like this.

Karin said...

Yellow roses are my fav too! Such a delicate yellow as well! Thanks for letting me 'see' the roses before I run off to work.

We just got invited to move to the Millwoods Manor for Nov 1/11. So, now, it's time to downsize - once more - and move! Mixed emotions as you can imagine.

Glad Grandpa Adams enjoyed a fab time with his family at the Cracker Barrel! Blessings!

Is this the first time I have not been able to pick a favorite? I think so! Maybe the apricot Nectar! I am SO glad you all had a good time, I hoped you ate till you got stuffed. Maybe pictures coming up?

Oops! Forgot to say how I love your header!!! I have a picture of the same orchid, but it is not near as pretty as yours! The roses distracted me from telling you. Just got back from George's and had a nice surprise seeing the Cracker Barrell pics!

I'm glad the birthday boy had a good time. Congrats again on his 99 years! Cracker Barrel is a favorite of mine, too. And I love to browse their neat little gift shops. Your and George's roses are just beautiful! Have a great day!

Cracker Barrell is one of our favorites, especially on the road. Happy belated bday to George's dad. Bless his heart! Your header is beyond awesome. Love, love, love the fringy ends of the petals. That is outstanding photography. I am so jealous I did not take it, lol. I like the
Betsy Rose! What a guy to tend to all those roses and bring you one each morning. Yes, you are blessed my friend. Oh yes, I truly love the pics of all each rose, they too are beautiful, of course. It was just that your header really grabbed me and took my break away. Thank you for the congrats on our 17th coming up on Sat. Hey, 10 years is a big milestone. When is your anniversary again? Know you just celebrated your birthday. Blessings,
Lynn

99! Wow, how wonderful! Happy birthday wishes to him. Your roses are so beautiful, Betsy. You are indeed a lucky gal. :)

It is amazing that you are so busy and still found time to post this photos to share! You are indeed thoughtful always! The roses are pretty and made me envy. Our local climate does not allow roses to grow so pretty like yours unless they are planted in the highlands and mountains in Malaysia.

I love your pink purplish blooms in the top banner with the matching purple background. It is such a good matching design. Well done Betsy!

Glad your f-in-law enjoyed his b-day.
If you are having to water all those roses you are staying busier than I am.
They are pretty and I love the smell.

Beautiful photos! I love the blooms, but hate the plants.

I never tire of seeing your roses! They are just so beautiful each and every one of them! The Love George has given them certainly spills over to you when you enjoy them and share about them!

I saw pics of your FIL and all of you @ Cracker Barrel. He looks just precious! I am sooo glad he was surrounded by his loved ones as I can only imagine how hard is was without George's mom beside him!

Thank you for your prayers for Jenna...her boyfriend broke up with her TODAY, after 3 years together! I can't even believe she has yet another thing happening that is causing her pain and sorrow. Your comment about your college roommate is very accurate of where Jen is today. We have hopefully found a place she can move to and are just waiting on the paperwork to go through! Maybe by the end of next week! In the meantime, I am just loving on her and trying to build her up. This really came out of no where and we are all shocked! Including his own parents. I guess him going to college (different than Jenna's) and experiencing the Freedom just made him change unfortunately ...I am thankful it happened now & am trying to help her see that there is a gift in all of this and someday when she looks back she will be thankful....bless her heart. I haven't ever seen her so broken !! It's hard to watch your children hurt especially when you don't understand exactly why yourself...
Anyway, thank you so much for your prayers! I hope you have a blessed weekend! Love and Hugs!

I am glad you have told us this summer how many roses you have and shown us their names. Should I ask how you remember each of them? Or do you keep the information 'sticks' from the nursery with them?

Sally Wessely said...

Loved them all. We too are blessed to be able to enjoy George's roses. I loved Rio Samba. It reminds me a great deal of a new one I planted last year in memory of Julie. It is called "Easy Does It," which seems strange I would pick a rose named that since see was not one to take it easy on anything. The Rio Samba has more yellow in it. I really do like it.

I love my roses this time of year as they take on deeper hues with the cooler weather.

beautiful roses. Don't feel bad about the commenting. I've been terrible about it lately. I just haven't been able to squeeze it in

All of your roses are just so beautiful! I'll bet your yard just smells heavenly.

I'm so glad that you got to celebrate Dad Adams 99th birthday at the Cracker Barrel! That is just wonderful! There is something about the 99th birthday that just puts a smile on my face! I just love it!

Hugs,
Angela
