Life is a Tulip

As I've mentioned several times before, our Tulips this year are probably more beautiful than they have ever been. I have several posts upcoming, showing the Tulips --so today, I'll start with a few of our pictures.

We have most of the Tulips in our side flowerbed --but there are some in the new flowerbed near the road. And--there are a few near the garage door. I haven't counted the total number we have ---but there are LOTS of them.. Above is a picture of the side flowerbed. In this bed are what's left of our Daffodils and many Tulips. Below are more pictures of our Tulips.

These Tulips are called PURISSIMA.

All of these pinkish Tulips are named LIGHT AND DREAMY.

From left to right: PURISSIMA, BIG SMILE, PURISSIMA and HALEY'S COMET

Here's another picture of the side bed -from the other direction. I wish all of you could be here to see all of these colors.

A couple of people say that my blog is hard to load on Blogger... SO---I've lowered the number of pictures from 8 to 5... IF this helps, please let me know. I want everyone to be able to read my blog. Thanks!

Hope you had a good Wednesday. George and I are 'happy campers' now since both of us got excellent reports from our doctor yesterday. We had had all of our lab work done a week ago--so yesterday was 'getting the report' day!!!! Hallelujah... We did GREAT....

This time of year, since we are so busy doing yardwork, I have decided to follow what many of you are already doing. I won't post a blog on Saturday or Sunday for awhile--but I will try to visit your blogs when I have time during the weekends.

Hugs,

Betsy, the tulips are gorgeous. I love the Purissima, I rarely see white tulips here. My tulips seem to be doing better this year too.

The yard work is what has me so behind on comments lately but then it is that time of the year. Congrats on your good reports from the doctor.

Hugs,
Judy

I think I have dirt permanently under my fingernails! And this fall, I HAVE to plant some tulips!!

Lovely! I need to plant some bulbs this fall! I used to have lots of tulips but they've all died off over the years!

So great that all your tests came back fine! What a blessing it is to enjoy good health! Love your tulips - the pure white is exquisite! Have a fantastic week-end!! Hugs!

How beautiful your garden grows. I would love to have such lovely flowers but they don't like tropical weather. It is great that I can see them in your garden. As you may have noticed I only post every second day to give myself time with other chores. See you Monday have fun in the garden. I just did as you will see on my blog.

Betsy: Your tulips are lovely. I am ready for mine to open, they are on the North side of the house so they take a while.

Betsy you and George have outdone yourselves... such a beautiful display of tulips! I may have to plant more this fall. ;)

Have a wonderful weekend and congratulations on a good bill of health.

They sure are purdy Betsy and we really like tulips as well. One of our kids lived in Holland for a couple of years and we managed a visit at prime tulip time. The tulip gardens were unbelievable.

Great pictures. I can tell you are getting a good handle on PE8.

What slows down the download has more to do with the size of the pictures as well as the number. I don't worry about it since I see it on many blogs now that they have gone to the new format.

I like that mixture of colors. It looks so festive. Mine are mostly blown but one new patch of Parrots just opened yesterday. I will enjoy them for a few days.

Congratulations on your good medical reports. That's a real upper, isn't it. Your tulips are very beautiful. Ours are about 3/4 inch high so far. They don't want to stick their noses out until they think it's safe. Diane

I agree with Squirrel Queen. I love the Purrisima. just because it's so unexpected and you don't think of white when you think of tulips. but you have such variety, I love them all!! SO glad you both got good checkups. I haven't had any real problems with your blogs loading. Except that the pictures take a bit longer to come in than the text does.

Good news on the check ups. Also loved the tulips - made my little bed of tulips almost look sick!!!

Blessings for a great week-end.

Beautiful tulips. I'm wondering if they are prettier this year because you got SNOW!!! They do like a nice cold winter (one of the reasons why I don't plant them here -- although I could have this year!).

Happy to hear your doc reports were good!

I love all the different colors. When my daughter was little I would take her to this certain house every year and let her walk on the side walk and admire their tulips. Maybe some little girl is making her mother drive by to see all your pretty flowers!

Congrats on the good doctor reports. Your tulips sure do add a lot of color and cheer to your yard. This time of year I also like to spend a lot of time in the garden. Have a happy weekend!

Hi Betsy, Glad your checkups went well. Love the pictures of the tulips. I am going to try planting them again this fall. It seems every time I plant bulbs the squirrels dig them up. Your blog loads a little slow sometimes for me but seemed faster this time. Have a great weekend.

Your tulips are gorgeous. I can see why doing yard work this time of year would necessitate decreasing time on blog! I would love to see all your flowers in person. I think I'd feel like I was walking through a park :-)

Good news on your doctor's visits. We will have blood work done next week. We hope to get good results too.

I really like the first shot, very beautiful capture! It's the subjects that made it grand, though!

Thanks for naming these tulips, they're amazing and I bet they smell good too. I especially like Purissima.

Betsy, I think they grew prettier since I was here earlier, or maybe you planted more.

Betsy, I have posted some birds I can't identify. When you get a chance I would appreciate it if you would take a look and see if you know what they are.
Thanks in advance :)
Have a great weekend.
