Views from North Carolina
This is the fourth post about our trip to visit friends in the North Carolina mountains. Today I'll feature three different views for you. Above is one view of the mountains taken from Judy and Charlie's deck/porch. They are so lucky since they have a view year-round!!!! Below are other views. Be sure and click on the photos for a enlarged photo.
This view is a picture of Judy and Charlie's back yard (left side)---taken from the porch above.
We had some rain off and on while we were in North Carolina. The clouds always make for a beautiful sunset, along with many other great views. This view (like all of them) was taken from the deck/porch. I sometimes use the word porch (the covered area) and the word deck (uncovered area). Who knows or cares????!!!!! ha
Aren't those clouds gorgeous???? They look like they are telling a story. What a marvelous view!!!!
Another view from the deck; You can see the road below their home. The North Carolina mountains are just awesome.
I like this daytime view because of the beautiful clouds.. We also saw quite a bit of fog on the mountains at times, especially after the intermittent rains. Judy and Charlie's porch has a metal roof---so when rain hits the roof, the sound is just so enjoyable while sitting on the porch. As I've said many times, the entire trip was fantastic!!!
Another view of Judy and Charlie's back yard (right side); See the 'shed' out back!
Here's one more picture of their view during the daytime ---with interesting clouds all around.
Finally, look at this view!!!!!! WOW is all I can say.... Isn't God's world just awesome in every way?????
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The "Rose of the Day" in our yard is named BEWITCHED. Isn't this one beautiful??? George brought a beautiful Bewitched bud into the house yesterday and put it in a bud vase for me on the table. It's so pretty, and since it is PINK, I thought about Blog friend Diane. Bet she'll like this one for sure!!!!!
Hope you have a great Tuesday!!!!
Hugs,

Hi Betsy, Your photos are all awesome. I would love to see all those views. I always wanted to go th NC or SC . But hubby always said no. He was a marine in nc. And said he had no desire to go back. Thanks for sharing the photos.
That view is breathtaking, Betsy---of both the mountains and the sky. Your friends are very fortunate to wake up to that every morning. And, as you know, I love my North Carolina mountains. :-)
I've enjoyed looking at your roses. What an amazing variety you have...and what a lucky woman you are to have the smell of roses in your house all spring and summer!
That view is incredible!I'd never want to leave.
And the rose is beautiful,too.
And you and George are moving in when??
Just beautiful there. Doubt I'd ever get a thing done but exercise my eye balls.
NC mountains make the Ozarks look like beginner mountains but after Florida, anything over 100 feet is a mountain to me.
You are going back when??
I agree to you, Judy and Charlie are so lucky. Wonderful views! Your rose is so beautiful. You are so lucky as well, Betsy. Have a great day. Hugs and love from Indonesia.
Wonderful views. My brother lives in Vale, North Carolina and has a store, and website. splintersandrags.com
your friends definitely have a slice of heaven over there!! Great views!! And that Rose is gorgeous! I told George he is the Rose King!!
They have a beautiful home there in the mountains, and it looks like you all had such a grand time together. Nothing like old friends! Bewitched is beautiful!!
Just beautiful. We don't have a long-range mountain view, but we do enjoy sitting on our deck and porch overlooking the woods. The porch is covered and screened and such a wonderful place in the rain.
Love the pink sunset and the bewitched rose!!! So pretty.
I am soooo homesick now. LOL My late husband's stepdad had Perry's Water Gardens in the Cowee area until he passed away. Now my BIL has them but doesn't take near as good care of them. There are so many different blooms and the garden is right in the valley of beautiful mountains.
Betsy: What a great place to sit and see the beauty of creation.
What a lovely place to live! Your rose is beautiful!!
Hey Betsy....awesome photos! I'm so glad you had such a great time with your friend!
I love how that porch is on the second srory of their house. The view is truly breathtaking.
Oh how i LOVE rain on the roof! Lovely views!
With views like that all around,I would just never leave that porch. The rain sounds delightful and the cloud and sunset pictures are amazing. And that rose! Can you send me one?Hint, hint,my birthday is next week.LOL
Blessings,Ruth
What some gorgeous pictures!! What a wonderful place to live! Is there a downside to living there? I can't imagine there is...
What a fun time you had with your friends ... and what views.
I've had company but they are leaving today ... things will get quiet.
I'm sorry you missed the fledging of your bluebirds ... too sad. But there's always next year ... or we can hope they come back!
I love the sound of rain on a tin roof. That is a beatuiful rose. NC is a interesting place to visit. A million years ago(LOL) I lived for a while in the little town of Rocky Mount.
Hey Betsy,
Your trip to NC looks absolutely marvelous. Full of color, friends and fun!
Enjoy your roses too!
Your friends certainly have a beautiful view of the mountains from their home. Those clouds are so pretty.
I love your newest rose too Betsy. What a lovely color.
Hope you and George are staying cool and enjoying the afternoon.
Hi Betsy - those are some really great photos of the view from the porch/deck - who cares right. The rose is breathtaking.
I have an award for you on my blog. I love to read your blog.
God is just awesome in every way!
Great pictures.I love the Smokey Mountains. We use to go there every year on vacation when I was a young girl. Love that place.
I have a bird question for you. Do you remember that birdhouse my daughter took picture of. Well it is packed full of stuff. I dont' think any birds are using it right now. Do you think if I cleaned it out another bird would come in there and start over?

Oh my Miz Betsy.......those sky shots are brilliant!! I agree, the beauty of God is everywhere if we only look around.
Your rose is beautiful. Okay, I have yard envy again, lol.

It's hard to believe that just a few weeks ago there was snow.
Breathtaking views, with beautiful mountains and trees, and then to top it all off, awesome looking skies, amazing!
The clouds and the mountains are so beautiful, then you hit me with the sunset!! Then the rose!!!
I have ead all the post about the trip. Whata beautiful place. Sounds like heven on earth. I too am sorry the baby birds are gone. They are so cute...hugs...m.
Beautiful shots Betsy. They make me homesick for eastern TN. :)
The mountains of NC and TN are beautiful. That sunset was spectacular. Personally..I like "porch" ...it sounds homey. Our porch has a tin roof. Sometimes the rain is so loud you have to yell at each other, but it sounds great. FL land of thunderstorms.

I have to admit, I am jealous, Betsy. That is a breathtaking area. The vistas are so amazing.
The vista is beautiful and love the perfect pink rose. Thanks for posting so many delightful pics and stories.
I read often, just don't post very often.
Betsy, I trust you're talking about me and the pink. I adore pink, everything pink goes out in my little cottage. I love your rose, it's gorgeous. Thanks for the pictures of your trip, there's so much wonderful country out there.
Boy do your friends live in a beautiful area. I love the hills and all the green. My teeny tiny Kalmia is about to bloom. I do love them. MB
Those are just gorgeous views. I especially like the misty mountains and the sunset photos.
Your rose is beautiful, too!
Wow! Those mountains are gorgeous. I couldn't imagine waking up in such beauty everyday--although you're in the mountains too so are treated to the same beauty. Lucky! Love the Bewitched rose...pretty.
Betsy,
Wow! To have a view like that everyday is a little piece of heaven on earth! There's nothing like the mountains to me! I love them! One of the most beautiful and awesome things I've ever seen was sitting on a porch watching a storm (lightning) in the mountains. Gorgeous! I looked at your pictures below too and you all look like you had a wonderful time together! That's great!
Tammy
Nice cloud pics--looks like thunderstorm weather. Nothing like mountain weather!
How beautiful is that? Wow!!! And that rose? Yes. It is beautiful. SO happy you're enjoying yourselves! xo
