April 21st---Special Day!!!

George and I started dating on March 29, 2001. Our love for each other grew very quickly.. It was a very special date on April 21, 2001 when George took me to Fall Creek Falls. That was where I got my FIRST KISS and where we both told one another that we were falling in love with each other. It was also the beginning of our love for visiting all kinds of different waterfalls!!!

SO---almost every year since 2001, we have revisited Fall Creek Falls on this day. Bet you can guess where we are going today?????? YES---to Fall Creek Falls, and I'm sure we will share our pictures from this wonderful place soon.

Today I will show you a few pictures from some of the previous April 21st trips to Fall Creek Falls. The picture above is of two of the six waterfalls there, Fall Creek Falls (on left) and Coon Creek Falls (on right). This picture was taken on April 21, 2006. It was pouring rain that year, so we didn't get any pictures of the two of us. Below are more pictures.

At the Cane Creek Cascades at Fall Creek Falls, April 21, 2001

At the Cane Creek Cascades at Fall Creek Falls, April 21, 2002

At Fall Creek Fall (near lodge) on April 21, 2007

Taken on April 21, 2008 at the overlook at Fall Creek Falls, with Rockhouse Falls in the distance

Taken at Cane Creek Cascades on April 21, 2009

Finally, here's Cane Creek Falls from the side---along with rainbow, which I'm sure was there JUST for us on our special day, April 21, 2009.

For your information, IF we have pictures from 2003-2005, they are unavailable at this time. We did visit Fall Creek Falls during those years though.

Hope you have as wonderful a day today as I'm sure we will have!!!!!

Hugs,

You to are so romantic it is like a breath of fresh air reading your love for one another. You seem to be growing younger on it every year. Unfortunately April 21st is a sad day for me. It is the day my father died way back in 1983 when he was only a few years older than I am now. Tomorrow too will be a sad day as it was my brother's birthday but this is the second one he has missed he would have been only 73.However I hope you have a great day, looking forward to more photos of the love birds and Fall Creek Falls. I used to go skiing in the Victorian Mountains at a place called Fall's Creek.

You guys set the romantic bar so very high. I'm sure there are grumbling husbands out there as their wives say "Why aren't you more like George?"
You two are truly blessed. Enjoy each moment and anniversary.

Hope you have a great day. Fall Creek Falls is the place my husband asked me to marry him, way back in Feb. 1985. We married in December 1985.

Hi Betsy. I just love the first photo. It almost looks like a bird's eye view, so high. The mist makes the falls look mysterious and magical.

So romantic to have your own special place. You are very, very luck to have a guy with such a sentimental heart. And of course he's very, very lucky too.

Sorry Betsy, I got distracted by all the love on this mornings comment and forgot to answer your question. Yes, Mel has a waterfall, in her yard. It's a water feature that she built. I however, have one trickling down our creek at the cabin when the water is high enough. Will have to post some pictures soon.

That first picture almost took my breath away, and I thought that it can't get any better than that, with the lovely mist and double fall. But then it DID get better!!! You both just look so happy!! The rainbow is a wonderful surprise and I adore it, but my favorite has to be the two of you peeking around the tree, priceless!!! Who took all these pictures! I hope you have a wonderful day and come home with lots of good memories and pictures!
