Fall Colors on the Cherohala Skyway - Part II

Be sure and read yesterday's post (Part I) to see information on the Cherohala Skyway. Here are more pictures taken on Sunday about 3 p.m. when George and I were on our way home from Maggie Valley. As I said in yesterday's post, we were in the perfect place at the perfect time to see some of the most gorgeous Fall colors we have EVER seen. All of the 'conditions' for great pictures ---plus a husband who is a great photographer-- were there on that 'picture-perfect' afternoon. I took 3 of these pictures with my 'point and shoot' (believe it or not)--and George took 4 of them. Hope you enjoy more of our Autumn pictures from Tennessee and North Carolina.

George got this picture of the moon---which was also part of our fabulous day!!!! Great picture--isn't it????

How 'bout a picnic here?????? Neat, eh????

I have one more set of pictures to show you tomorrow. Hope you aren't getting 'too' tired of these Autumn pictures.. We just love them--and want to share!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful Halloween weekend.

Hugs,

The photos just get better and better, I will never get tired of them. You have so much more of the reds in the trees there than we do and it is beautiful.
More, more.

Judy

Great moon shot George.

The pictures are beautiful! Alas the color is starting to fade. Walking Rusty I am seeing fall putting away her colors preparing for winter to arrive. But boy has fall been beautiful this year.

The gorgeous blue skies against glorious Fall color in the previous post together with the lovely views here makes me want to tell my friends to stick it out and see more of your lovely country before heading home ... but methinks I'd be ready to head home if I'd been traveling with them. I'll look forward to the next installment ;-)

I love your photos! So colorful and festive. They do make me miss Georgia. We don't have those kinds of leaves where we live in Maryland.

I have been really busy so my posts are hit and miss these days. But I will come 'round again.

Have a great Halloween weekend.

Betsy,
I love the beautiful, colorful fall photos. I'm so glad you got to drive across Cherohala. Isn't it splendid ? Fantastic posting!
You take great photos. You must have a professional camera with telephoto lens to get such great shots.

Those photos are absolutely stunning! That's the colors of fall I remember from MA and CT during the years we lived there! I could never take a picture that would do the colors justice, but you have captured them in their perfection. Thanks!! I will always yearn to see those delights in real life, but yours are a wonderful virtual trip!!
