Besides the festival, they offer a Fun Run and a Peach Bake-Off. There's a cheerleading competition, entertainment/stage activities, and they choose a Peach Queen. If you attend the Peach Festival, here are some photos of what you can see and do.
Above is a picture of one of the parade floats... See Lucy????? Don't you just love a parade? Below are more pictures. Be sure to enlarge them by clicking on each photo.
This little ride on the BEE is more 'my' style!!!!! ha
FOOD----of course, there were many, many booths of all kinds of food. They even sold turkey legs!!!!! This picture (or at least the smell of grilled onions and sausage) definitely caught my attention! Yum!
Hope you have gotten to attend (or will get to attend) a festival in your area this Fall.
Thanks, Kelly and Chuck, for taking us there!!! And ---yes, the peaches were delicious (at Kelly and Chuck's house)!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

We just wrapped up our Pumpkin Festival which is our tribute to farming/gardening. It ended last Sunday. My header is of my porch decorated for the festival. You're a bit of a Pumpkin Scrooge if you don't at least stick a few pumpkins out and preferably a scarecrow or 2 or 3 and of course mums---the fall flower of choice around here.
We don't have a hillbilly village although we have all the rest including a parade. Mike and I eat supper there each night for at least 3 nights and that's our vein clogging venture for the entire year! Ha!
I'm glad you got to experience this festival--it's what country living's all about. :>)
Great time was had by all it seems Betsy.
I saw your legs, right at the top, with just one shoe on?
Bet that made you look again eh? lol.
Now you have me craving a peach pie.
I'm with you on that ride.
We have our big one coming up and you have me in the mood to brave the crowds. Thanks.
Hi Betsy, the peach festival sounds like fun! Wonderful photos, have a great week!
I used to ride spinning rides like that but my inner ear has gone downhill with age and now I can't ride them anymore!
Sure looks like you had a fun time :-)
I love fairs. They are so much fun and take you *back* in time. Great people watching! Looks like the Peach festival was a real hit.
I like the look of the peach festival. There are so many festivals throughout the summer and fall, it is difficult to pick which one(s) to attend!
really a fun spot. love that big bee. and of course he grill with FOOD. i had not idea they grow peaches in NY, i am a Georgia Peach and thought ALL peaches came from GA... YIKES on that ride... NOT for me either
now i'm hungry!
There are lots of fall festivals around but I have not been to one yet. I would have loved just eating peaches at the festival. Peace
BTW Send me some pointers on Facebook.
I agree of the charm with the smells around. You should have gotten a turkey leg, a favorite of mine. I went to a Fall Fest this weekend with a wonderful turkey dinner.
How much fun is this!!!! I LOVE Festivals ♥
We have one in May and another this month. We also have our State Fair going on right now which anytime we go there it is strictly for the DELICIOUS FOOD!! They have those awesome turkey legs there!!! Since I am trying to lose weight we will most likely not be going this year. I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation LOL
We also have a Peach Festival in a town called Porter. It's a pretty big deal but sadly, we have never been.
We need to change that :)
Have a blessed Monday
It's so nice that you and hubby get to enjoy traveling. Festivals are exciting and I'd never get on a ride these days.
I love all the festivals that are happening all around in the fall.
They are so much fun and a good way to spend a nice fall day! The food is always a temptation, too. Yum!
Looks like lots of fun, Betsy. We just went to the Festival of Family Farms this past weekend. It is a chance to visit local farms and learn about what each one does. Lotsa fun. MB
I also attended on of these this year, but nothing compared to here. It was hotter than I can describe so did not stay long. I love fresh peaches.
I can almost smell the foods cooking--that is what we go for is all the food!
Looks like you had a really great time.
Kay
What a fun looking festival to visit! I can almost smell the food from here. ha! Glad to hear you had a nice time there, Betsy. :)
Your blog pics are very colorful!!! The most recent festival in Honolulu was the Greek Festival at Ala Moana Beach Park. We wanted to go, but were glad we didn't because of the thousands, yes thousands, who attended and the lack of parking. We dined at a Greek restaurant, instead. Love Greek cuisine!
Looks like a fun place to be.Festival food is usually quite good.
Looks like you got right in the middle of all the festivities. How fun!! Great shots, too. Diane
A festival dedicated to peaches sounds like a great event. Some fun pictures.
What a fun way to spent the day. : )
Hi Betsy, It sure looks like you totally enjoyed your NY trip! So happy for your! Have a super good day!
Looks like they had something for everyone there - depending on what you want to do.
And I love peaches.
sandie
I haven't been to a festival or carnival in years and years. The smell of grilled onions would have really held my attention. I love it!
Oh, festival food is the best because all the calories don't count!!!
What a nice day for you guys with the kiddos....and really, couldn't we have had a photo of you riding on the bee????
xo
The peach festival sounds like my kind of event. Of course my favorite part would be the crafts :)
did George go up the ride too? LOL
was watching a docu about a visitor to New Zealand doing the bungy. She moved her bowel and they even showed that. The next day, I watch Amazing Race Australia, they were going sky diving. This guy kept going to the toilet.
This is why I can't go to adventure rides or amazing race. I need the toilet stops.
I love the Niagara area! My sister has moved close to there and I can't wait to go and visit her.
I love a parade too! That jewellery looks so good, especially the blue stones.
No, you'll never catch me on those rides. LOL!
Glad you had a good time. Oh, I forgot, that hillbilly village looks like so much fun!!
Looks like a lot of fun! The Hillbilly Village looks fun. The jewelry is so pretty. I would definitely pass on the rides. The food looks great.
Betsy
Everything looks like so much fun!
I love festivals. Thanks for sharing your special day with us!
Very colorful and vivid photos you took there Betsy! That display of legs against a very blue sky is so lovely, but i can't attempt to ride that one too! And your header is really flaming red, what an awesome sight! very beautiful
How fun! The only ride I like is the 'tea cup' ride. I'm not very brave. Haha!
xo Catherine
So...did that sweetheart of yours win a teddy bear for you? :)
That look like a lot of fun. I'm with you on the Bee ride Betsy, I don't mind the spinning ones but not up in the air like that.
We had our big Onion Festival a couple of months ago, it's the biggest of the year for us. We are also having a Harvest Festival at the end of this month.
Very interesting!
And I always thought peaches were associated only with the South and with California. You learn something new every day!
The Niagara County Peach Festival looks like an interesting piece of "small town Americana" -- it's good to see things like it still going strong.
And thanks for visiting my blog again. To answer your question, we will be in TN next week, climbing up LeConte on 10/13 and hiking back down on 10/14. The rest of the trip we are actually staying in NC.
Good luck to your Vols on Saturday...my Tigers are sure to need some in Arkansas!
Looks like a fun place for all ages!
