I hope you are not getting tired of my photos from Biltmore House and Gardens in Asheville, NC. This will be my 18th post from there... I'm not obsessed, am I? ha ha .... IF you happen to miss any of the other 17 posts, you can go to my sidebar, scroll down to Labels, and click on Biltmore. It is truly an awesome place! This trip was on August 5, my birthday!
Today I'm sharing a few more pictures with you. Above are a couple of gorgeous Crepe Myrtles in bloom. Below are more. Enlarge the photos for larger pictures.
One of the adorable statues at the Italian Gardens; I first thought he was holding an ice cream cone. Don't think so!!!!! ha |
One of the sidewalks in the Biltmore Gardens; Love seeing the Grape Vines; |
The Koi in the Italian Water Gardens; I was looking straight down into the water --and loved getting the clouds in the sky as a reflection! |
I've talked alot about the Conservatory but have never shown you its picture. Well--here it is--and let me tell you that there are some gorgeous tropical plants inside there, including Orchids. |
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
On another note, several of you have complained about having to scroll all of the way down through my comments to get to the "Leave Comment" form. WELL--my advice is: when you bring up a blog, click on the blog only (Like THIS) instead of the post (This one ).... If you pull up the blog, the comments won't come up. Then just click on the comment form. Much EASIER I think!!!!! Use the Blogger Draftboard because it doesn't work if you use the Google Reader. Just my thoughts for today! ha
Hope you enjoyed my photos from Biltmore.
Have a wonderful day. We are still getting some drizzly rain... We're up to about 6 inches now....But--it's a slow rain ---so there's no flooding! Thanks be to God.
Hugs,
Betsy

They are all fantastic, but I LOVE the Koi and clouds!!!
Or you can read this post really early, and be the second one to comment - no scrolling necessary :)
...what are those things the little boy is holding? Maybe nails?
love the grape vines. you are doing biltmore and i am on beach trip, have about 7 so far and another 7 in drafts plus i am going back to the beach this week end if the rain leaves, with my battery charged, so who knows how many beaches i will have, as many as your biltmore
The Biltmore gardens are so gorgeous and the Koi pond is relaxing to look at.
I like your new colors, Betsy.
hugs,
Pam
Those chenille plants are really interesting - such a deep red.
Love all your pictures in this post!!
I never tire of pictures from the Biltmore.
BTW, Betsy, it's 46.2 degrees here in north MS this morning!!! Feels wonderful!
I would love to visit this place. How many memory cards would I have to bring along?I am sure I would leave with many images on my camera.I love all the pictures you showed today and can't possibly pick a favourite.
Really nice pictures, Betsy. The koi picture is neat the way it turned out reflecting the clouds.
I had no idea how much there was to see there at the Biltmore until you began this series of posts. Amazing.
I'm sad to say I haven't visited this beautiful estate yet. It's on my list though! Beautiful photos Betsy, I don't get tired of looking at them at all!
Extraordinary pictures from Biltmore - each season is so beautiful there. Enjoy the cooler temps and light rain today!
loved those thick grapevines! so neat!
I love to look at plants, but don't always photograph them, myself. hmmm. I must change that. Maybe, I'll visit Foster Gardens in Honolulu this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration, Betsy. I love all of the plants, particularly the spectacular trees in the 1st shot. Never saw a myrtle before.
You can post as much about Biltmore as you wish and I for one would never be tired of the post or the photos. Enjoying the cool weather along with you. Peace
i wouldn't mind my very own Italian Garden w/ arched tree lined walkways... bee-u-tee-ful! =)
The temps have finally dropped here in Southeast Missouri & I'M LOVING IT! =)))
Since I probably won't ever get there, bring on the pictures. Years ago Crepe Myrtles used to get a nod of appreciation from me but since I now own one, it has become a real favorite.
The koi pond shot is awesome.
That is an awesome place!
Oh my, what lovely gardens at the Biltmore. I would spend hours and hours at this place no doubt! I love your header photo, glorious color.
Biltmore House is beautiful whatever time of year you visit. Love seeing your photos as you always show things I didn't notice in visits. Glad you are staying nice and dry. We had tornado warnings yesterday but today is sunny and quiet.
I never get tired of your series of flowers and plants! I am also nosy and would read all comments before posting. Well, I find that your American friends have very polite and encouraging words always. It is so natural and that's why every foreigner say that Americans are most friendly people! It is so true. Have a good day Betsy.
I'm not tired of the photos, but I would like to own the place.
I do wonder what that little angel is holding. Biltmore continues to amaze me. I hope to go there one day.
I have also discovered that you can "jump to comment form" by selecting the choice at the top of the comments. I think people having to scroll through all those comments is a nice problem to have. :)
I have always done what you advise, it is so much easier! What IS that pretty boy holding??? LOVE the grapevines and all those chenille plants! Does everyone have to walk down all those steps to get to the conservatory? Isn't it handicapped accessible? That is always the first thing we think about with places like this. Your fish are swimming in the sky!!
Of course you have to scroll all the way down, how can you make comments if you dont see all?.lol
Great place to visit Betsy.
I love seeing the beauty of the Biltmore 18 times!!
Like the koi shot best.Always nice to see again.
The conservatory is a great looking building and the crepe Myrtles are so loaded with blooms. I feel I'm getting to know these gardens and all for free thanks to your posts.
I really have a hard time picking a fav photo! Thanks for sharing all of them! I'll gladly visit wherever you take me!! It's a gorgeous place.
Oh, and I think cupid is holding love arrows - a little short in the handle though!
I never get tired of your Biltmore pics. My favorites this time are the koi fish with the sky reflections and the conservatory photo. What a beautiful place!
Still drizzly here today, but just now let loose with a full torrent of rain. Everything is green!
The Biltmore is a special place. n Linda and I were there in the Spring and really enjoyed ourselves. I think if I lived close a "season Pass" would be in order LOL
Beautiful pics, Betsy!
Beautiful pictures Betsy. I love the fish. Thanks for sharing. Diane
Gorgeous photos and that header is divine...sorry I've been awol...I'll tell you about what I've been doing in an email.
Have a beautiful week Betsy.
Sure glad that 6 inches of rain fell slowly and the soil soaked it up without flooding. We only got about 2 inches but we so needed that.
Lovely pictures,
Blessings
Marilyn
That is one place I would tire of seeing its beauty. I feel like I have been there again through your photos. Glad you got some moisture. They are telling us we may not until Nov. Lord help us!
Betsy
I never get tired of the photos you share. It takes me places I may never get to visit, so I can see it through your camera!
Betsy, I Never tire of your extraordinary pictures from anywhere! And your stories about the places you visit always keep my attention.
That is such a wonderful crape myrtle, i haven't seen yet! Amazing blooms. And the wide angle photo of the conservatory is lovely too. I dont mind you putting lots from it because they are all interesting. Moreover, i am also not bothered by the plenty of comments passing through my vision when looking for the window, because i sometimes read some of them. Betsy, i think you are the most commented blog in blogosphere, there should be an award for that somewhere, LOL>
These pictures are wonderful as always!!
The girls are fine my oldest is at UT now. So hard to believe. Middle daughter is a senior and youngest is in the 8th grade.
It's very beautiful. Thank you for taking us there to see such pretty places. I kind of hate to see summer end. It seems like it's too soon.
Crape myrtles are one of my favorite things about summer:)
Those grapevines are massive and very beautiful. They make a great addition to the walkway. The little boy, cupid maybe, looks like he is playing with sharp objects and knows he's in trouble.
It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about with the comments, that would be a problem if someone clicked on the post title from their dashboard instead of the blog itself. Goodness, they could be scrolling for a long time.
I know I will love the Biltmore whenever I finally get a chance to visit it! I never tire of your photos.
I love those grapevines!
