Hello Betsy, Very pretty photos this morning. It would be hard to choose a favorite! Hope you have a nice weekend.
I missed your first post on the irises, so I went back and checked them out. My favorite from there was the honey glazed. Of these, I like the Cantina the best with the Tennesse Vol a close second.
I'm so behind on your blog this week.
Your Biltmore one is a delight as always.
I was glad you had that time with your son. Such a beautiful spot to enjoy catching up with a loved one! I liked their version of 'falls'.
As for the seafood one, my ex and I would do the same when we visited the beach: fresh seafood as much as possible. I'm not a scallops fan and can't get past the slippery look of the oysters, but I love many of the other fresh catches. I loved your close up of the sea gull---stunning actually.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Everyone of these is a winner. At one time we had lots of different Irises, but I have never seen some of these colors.I think the picture with the roses in the background is wonderful.Hope your weekend will be super.
They are all so beautiful, I went back and looked at part one. Isn't great to have lovely flowers come back year after year. I just shared some of mine with my Mom I had to dig them up a little early because of the time of my visit. They are good sports, I think they will come back for her next year.
Love the Halloween one best.
What a wonderful collection of Irises, I must add more around here.
They are all lovely Betsy. Your garden should be open to the public!!!
...that Halloween Halo is pretty cool! Love them all...sure your neighbors do to! you guys definitely have green thumbs!
I love those names. I never get tired of the beautiful colors. It seems as though they are exploding
in color.
gorgeous, but CABLE CAR?? for real???
the rainbow colors of your iris are amazing !!!!!!!
I just got a catalog that sells nothing but irises...should I go for it?
So many many different blooms, just magic!
Cantina is my favorite. I wonder why "Tennessee" vol is your favorite? Is there such a thing as a California Irises? :-)
Each one is so unique, and such pretty colors. They make me homesick for the farm where I grew up. We had a lot of them there, but they do not seem to grow well here. I still have one miniature purple one that comes up each year in a really odd place.
Always fun to see the Iris in your yard. All so beautiful!
beautiful flowers
The orage ones are my favorite. I have my Vols hat on today, maybe that is what started my selection.
Love the 2nd and the 3rd irises the best, but truly they are all gorgeous - each in its own way! Your photos are excellent! Enjoy a fabulous week-end!
Hi Betsy,
I saw your comment on Chip's post (showing off his new lens...hehehe) and I popped over to check out your sight. I could not believe it when I saw you are in FG. I LIVE IN CROSSVILLE!! It's great to meet another Plateau Photographer. Can't wait to check all your photos!!
Take care,
Veronica
Your photos are GREAT!!!!! A time without Irises would be a sad time indeed. You have wonderful varieties. Have a great weekend. Peace
Irises are such beautiful flowers. I love the variety that you have and the wonderful photos you have shared.
After seeing these lovely flowers, I've thought that perhaps I need to add some iris plants to my yard. I've never had them because all I could think of were those boring purple ones of my childhood. (Anyway, that is how I saw them.)
I loved: Cable Car and Halloween Halo. I couldn't decide on my favorite until I saw Tennessee Vol. I concur with you. It is my favorite also.
I'd like to see how these look in the complete garden setting. Do you order these from catalogs?
They are all beautiful but Halo gives Vol a run for the money!!! My two favs.
Have a great weekend....don't work too hard!
All you Iris are beautiful. I like them mixed in with the roses. Have a fun weekend. MB
There's no way I could pick a favorite, these are gorgeous. Thanks for your nice comment last night. Diane
Oh my, Betsy!!!!! These are wonderful.
Beautiful! I think I like Cantina best; I love that shade of purple.
Hope you have a pleasant weekend!
Roses and irises - I can't decided which I like better. : ) Beautiful!!!
Queen Betsy, no Queen Sandie sounds better.
They are all beautiful!
I love the Irises and the roses both.
Love,
sandie
The irises are so pretty and you have such a variety of colors. I love them all. We have a few, but they are needing a move to a new location. Another job to add to the list! Have a great weekend.
They are all gorgeous, Betsy. They are such a regal looking flower, I'm not surprised one of them is called "Queen." ha ha! Have a nice weekend! :)
Love the coral ones. My favorite color. I am always impressed how you know the names of all yours.
Mine are lucky if I remember which species they are.
I think Iris's are such beautiful, delicate and demure flowers. (Like US) :)
Have a beautiful weekend Betsy...see you on Monday.
xoxox
So many beautiful Iris's. Each one is spectacular in it's own way. I think Cantina has got to be my favorite out of this bunch though.
Is there any type flowers you do not have? You no doubt you have the most beautiful yard filled with so much beauty in your area. Gorgeous.
Wonderful close-up pictures of your irises!
TN may be my favorite too! They are all beautiful
The colors are spectacular but so are the delicate, frilly shapes of them.
Wow! These are beautiful! My irises are just starting to open. Love the orange ones. I have a Tennessee grad in our family...that would make a fun gift for their new house!
So gorgeous!
I really love the Cantina. I'm imagining the ruffled dress of a Senorita. :)
I think Halloween Halo is very appropriately named as well.
Have a wonderful weekend Betsy!
Beautiful, beautiful irises Betsy. I would love to have Cable Car in my garden, the color on that one is stunning.
Your irises are awesome. I checked out part I and fell in love with Hell's Fire. What an amazing color. Then, on the other end of the color spectrum, Halloween Halo caught my eye and kept it.
You have a fabulous weekend too Betsy. Love the photos!
Beautiful Irises, all the different colors are gorgeous. Have a wonderful weekend, Betsy!
LOVE them ALL! I have a nice long iris order list ready. An iris rizome can cost as much as a rose bush! We are getting ready to make a new iris bed. :)
Lovely post..Happy Pink Saturday...
What a beautiful yardful of Irises! Your love of flowers is very evident. Beautiful.
Your iris's are gorgeous. I am making a new flower bed at my new outside patio and thinking about getting some iris bulbs for it. When did you plant your bulbs and how long does it take the bulbs to bloom?
Blessings to you
Marilyn
I love them all but your favorite is also mine, Betsy! Do you know how Ginny is feeling? I have been saying many prayers for her.
Beautiful flowers and I love the names almost as much as the flowers....ALMOST. :)
Very nice!!
Youu have a wonderful selection of irises and they are all beautiful.
What a gorgeous collection.
My early iris are just now starting to bud up. Your's are amazing!

Splendiferous! Cable Car and Tennessee Vol are my favorites, but they are all beautiful!
Enjoyed your gorgeous irises! Particularly the orangey ones...just beautiful!
WOW so very beautiful Betsy, Have a very blessed day, Hugs Barbara
Isn't that nest box the cutest thing you've ever seen. The wood ducks seemed to like it.
Those photos were taken at the aviary, there are at least a dozen nest boxes and shelters inside.
Hope you and George had a great weekend.
Judy
Wonderful! I really love that first one.
