What We have been Up-To!!!!!!

Dear Blog Friends,   Today's post talks about 3 events we have been participating in recently.  First of all,  we visited Loyston Point Campground here in TN (on Norris Lake) to visit Mark and Robin on April 2 where they were camping for the weekend.  Secondly, we visited BILTMORE to see the Tulips on April 12,  and thirdly, we went to a funeral (my sons'  aunt) in Knoxville on April 16.  Funerals are always bittersweet. Losing a loved one is never easy, BUT getting some Family Fellowship time including Pictures is JOY....About 16 of us went to Dinner following the service.   Hope you enjoy seeing all three events in today's pictures!!!

There's nothing better than sitting around a campfire in a gorgeous setting with wonderful people --AND enjoying the S'mores of course!!!!!! Ha!

We took a couple of walks around that beautiful lake.. That's Robin, George and Bert in the photo.

This is an internet picture of that awesome campground!!!  Such a beautiful and peaceful place!

We always enjoy seeing all of the multi-colored TULIPS when we go to Biltmore.

Some of the individual Tulips for you to enjoy!

Pretty Tulip

Love these colors together

We took a short hike above the Walled Garden to show you some of the tulip beds from a distance.

Some of the Azaleas were blooming

I love the colors of this Azalea.   We hope to go back to Biltmore soon to see more of the Azaleas which hadn't bloomed yet when we were there.

After eating dinner, we went outside of Calhoun's to take some pictures.  Here's one that George took of me with my wonderful sons and daughters-in-law!!  From left to right:  Robin, Mark, Mom, Bert ,Jeff, Dawn;  What an awesome family I have.

And of course,  I just HAD to have a picture with my 3 sons: Jeff, Mark, Mom, and Bert

We've taken one more little day-trip  (April 21) to Fall Creek Falls State Park here in Tennessee.  My next Blog Post will feature that amazing little trip!!!  Have an awesome week --and enjoy Spring!!!! Love to ALL!!!

What a great looking campground that is.
The flowers at Biltmore are beautiful.
Glad you were able to get together with your sons even if it was for a sad occasion.

I am so thankful you and George are able to keep traveling and of course seeing the many people you love!
If you hadn't given internet credit for the aerial photo of the campground, I was going to comment how impressed I was with George for getting that shot!

I'm glad we were able to see the tulips in bloom at Biltmore -- you got some great pictures. Of course, it is always wonderful to see your sons even if the occasion is not always happy.

You two are so busy all of the time. That must be how you stay so young. We had a camper like Mark & Robins for years and years when our kids were growing up. We loved that camper. It took us on so many adventures. Living and camping out west though, we decided we should get a hardsided camper since there were so many places we couldn't go in our fold-down trailer because of bear. We had lots of bear at our lake place, so we reluctantly sold it. Would you believe after so long using it, we got what we paid for it? We always took good care of it and it paid off!
I'm sorry about the funeral but I do know what you mean about catching up. Dennis and I helped another couple last week at church. We served lunch to about 60 people after the funeral service. It is such a blessing to do that.
We're off to London to see our newest granddaughter. I can't wait to hold the precious bundle.
Blessings,
Betsy

I love the tulips. I am so ready to see spring flowers, even a Dandelion would be prettier than more snow. Oh no, I didn’t want to complain, but i guess I just did.

Those Daffodils are amazing! We have a couple of dozen in bloom for the first time this year, but you wouldn't even notice them among all of yours!
