Happy 4th of July to YOU.... As you enjoy fun times with lots of great food and fellowship, please take a minute to thank God for our country and the freedoms we celebrate. We also need to pray for our country and its future...
Today, in honor of America's Birthday and our flag, I am celebrating with you by showing you some of the RED, WHITE and BLUE flowers we have, and have had this year in our yard.
The photo above is Peppermint Splash Rose from our yard (5/27). It reminds me of fireworks---so I'll begin with it... Click on the photos for enlargements.

I didn't realize we had such a patriotic yard, but I'm glad we do. Your photos are beautiful.
Going a hymn fest and potluck, an old fashioned celebration. I like to watch the children running with sparklers. Lots of fun games also.
You garden must be a picture, all these grogeous blooms but my 2 favouties are the 1st adn last shot of the Roses.
The Ronald Reagan Rose is my favorite and I wish we could have another man like Ronald Reagan in the White House. I pray for our great country daily. We certainly do need to bring her back to God. Wishing you and yours a wonderful 4th of July weekend!!
Beautiful post. I love flowers and each of these is perfect. Have a super weekend.
Always a pleasure visiting with you and George. No one share as much beauty as you two.
Happy 4th of July Betsy! I so enjoyed seeing your patriotic yard. You have the most beautiful flowers and that reflects the love and care you spend on them.

Beautiful flowers, great idea for an Independence Day post!
Betsy & George... Have a great Independence Day! We do have one question related to your yard. Have you ever counted the number of varieties of flowers you have? Wow! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave & Laurie

Wonderful pictures of your Red, White and Blue flowers! Hope you had a special July 4th. We ended up having a 'cook-in' because of rain :) Ribs in the crockpot are GOOD.

Such beautiful flowers. We didn't do much yesterday because we had to work late Friday night at the art gallery for First Friday Art Walk, so we just laid low, cooked barbecue and watched movies. A great day in my book!! XX
Beautiul! That Peppermint Splash kind of reminds me of a giant red firework exploding in the sky.
Your flowers continue to inspire my attempts to garden .
They are all gorgeous, but I can see why that last one is a special favorite. It's beautiful. I esp. like the multi-colored flowers.
I don't know how to request to be a friend to you on Facebook. I mean, I know how,but I don't know your last name or at least your Facebook's name. Could you tell me, please or send a friend request to me, Beth Orr? Thanks.
Had the gkids for two nights and had a blast! I'm still resting up though, but that's okay. :>)
Your flower garden is awesome, Betsy. I love all the flowers. Your header is really great, too. I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July!
So much beauty for the eye to behold.. I could never pick a favorite. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Hugs, xo
Hi Betsy, That Double Delight is a true delight! I love today's post! Just gorgeous. Glad you had a good Independence Day! Have a nice day tomorrow!
It's so gorgeous, Betsy.
Have a great week ahead ya :)
Fabulously gorgeous flowers!
Happy birthday, America!
Beautiful, beautiful flowers.
Hi Betsy,
Such beautiful flowers! I have 2 favorites...the first and last. You and George really do a marvelous job on your flower gardens. Mine aren't quite lucky as yours. My right knee has been giving me trouble, so I've not been able to pull as many weeds and tend to them as I usually do.
I'm like you and have basically quit reading the news. It's just too depressing. It's hard to believe how fast this country is changing...and not for the better. And no one is doing anything about it! I better climb down from my soapbox before I get too carried away.
Take care and have a good week. I'm really slow these days with blogging, but think of my friends often.
Hugs, Cheryl
Hi Betsy,
I just tried to send a comment, but my computer is acting up and I'm not sure you got it. I was saying how beautiful your flowers are and that the first and last ones were my favorites! I also got on my soapbox about what's happening in our country. It is so depressing. Hope you and George have a great week! If the other comment came through, just throw this one out. :)
Hugs, Cheryl

I hope you had a nice holiday weekend, Betsy! Your red, white, and blue flowers are so beautiful. I am always in awe of how many different kinds of flowers you have.
Very beautiful and selective with flowers and colors! Hope you had great Independence Day. Love the roses, iris and daylilies.
Your yard is gorgeous in all seasons, but especially now! Love those pictures! I've been absent from blog writing and reading lately, too, largely because of book projects, changing agents, a speaking engagement in New York, etc., etc. So I'm seriously behind on my blog reading, but will catch up with you on Facebook. Don't want to miss anything -- love hearing about your adventures and seeing your beautiful pictures!
The patriotic flowers are lovely! Hope you had a fun 4th of July. We watched fireworks from the deck with all the family present. Definitely a fun time.
Oh my! Your blossomy header is spectacular!
