JOHN EMERY ADAMS 8/29/1912- 12/5/2013 |
Dad has had a cold and infection for a couple of weeks --- and has gone down physically and mentally the past several months. His death is really a blessing --although we will miss him terribly. He lived a long and healthy life. Now--he is with his beloved wife --whom he has missed so very much.
Please keep our family in your prayers. The service is Monday---so I will not do a blog post until later next week, even though I said I would be back to blogging on Dec. 9.
God Rest Your Soul, JOHN EMERY ADAMS. You lived a fabulous life!! I love you so very very much!
Hugs,

Rose said it so well - we here in blogland got to know your Father-in-Law through your posts and while we are sad for those left behind, we are happy for him to be with his beloved wife and out of this earthly body. Prayers and hugs to you and all your family.
Oh, I am so very sorry! I know he missed his wife so much, the love of his life. And now they are together. Though that is not much comfort for those he left.
Parting is always hard,no matter what the age,but the comfort we have in knowing that we will be with those loved ones again, helps us through those tough times. May god give you a special touch of His love today..

Betsy and George, Sending you heartfelt condolences on the passing of George's father. I know now why the Lord lead me to take a moment to pull up your blog today. Yes, he certainly lead a long, full life and now is with his beloved wife again. Both of them now are "Home" for Christmas.
I'm so sorry about your father-in-law passing away. You are in my thoughts and prayers. It's always so difficult to lose a loved one during the holidays. My father passed away in 1988 on Thanksgiving Day. Always this holiday is sad as I recall my dad's passing.

Betsy, It is great that everyone has such fond and positive memories of your father-in-law! 101 is amazing and it sounds like it was only recently that his health interfered with a decent quality of life... Our prayers are with you. We celebrate Laurie's aunt's 100th birthday in January. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. A big hug to you and George from me,
Marie
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. My deepest condolences to you and the family.
Sorry for your loss Betsy and George, buy what a long life he had and I know you spent plenty of time with him.
Dear Betsy, he died on the same day as Nelson Mandela and I suspect from what you have written here and from earlier posts that your father-in-law, like Mandela, was a sweet man with a sense of rightness and fairness that made the world a better place for his having been here. Peace.
Dear Betsy and George! Please know that my heartfelt love is with you now. It is never an easy thing to loose a parent even though it is a blessing. I wish I were there to give you a hug!
Love you!
Linda
