Sunflowers Galore!

First of all,  let me say a HUGE Thank You to so many, many of you who commented/emailed/contacted/text/messaged after my blog post last Friday.  Blogging and Facebook friends are INCREDIBLE... You all gave me so much HOPE... Thanks so very much!

Today I'll post another favorite time we had on my Birthday Trip this year.  On August 6, 2013---we stopped at a favorite place of ours,  the Biltmore House and Gardens in Asheville,  North Carolina.  One of my posts last week (click HERE) talked about the beautiful Italian Garden (where we showed photos of the waterlilies and lily pads).  Today---I will share another favorite part of that particular visit to Biltmore,  and that is of their beautiful SUNFLOWERS.

I love all kinds of flowers --but in August,  the Sunflower fields at Biltmore are FABULOUS...  Hope these photos will make you smile today!  Just sit back,  get a cup of coffee or tea, and relax while you see the photos.

Bet sure to click on the photos for enlargements...  The photo above is a favorite of mine --and one that you already saw if you checked out THIS blog post.... BUT--it just tells the true way I feel about being 'in' the sunflowers...

George has to take off all of the 'gear' in order to set up the tripod to take our photo together.

So many Sunflowers ---and so much fun!!!!!!

The Bees love the Sunflowers!!!!!  (Glad they didn't 'love' us!!)

"Okay, Dear... Stand Still --so that I can get this set up right!!!"

Not only do the Bees love the Sunflowers --but the Butterflies love them also!

"Is this where you want me, Honey?"

Here is a far-away look at more of the Sunflowers... They go and go and go!!!! SO MANY of them!!!

Here is our photo together using the tripod....

Finally,  here is a cute picture of my Sweetheart in the Sunflowers!!!!!

Hope our photos made you smile today.. Sunflowers are such gorgeous flowers... If you are ever at Biltmore the first week of August,  be sure and check out the Sunflowers...

Thanks again for your wonderful thoughts on my Friday's post...  I love you all!!!!

Hugs,

The sunflowers are gorgeous as is you picture together. I planted Sunflowers in 5 different places this year. All around Bob's house. Some are the yellow ones but a lot are Fall colors. reddish brown, bronze and gold and burgandy and one is purplish.
Your pics are great. MB

Those sunflowers are GREAT! I think you look like a lovely sunflower yourself. Happy and cheery. Your smiling face and positive attitude make others feel good.

When we lived in Spain we saw lots of fields of sunflowers too. They were always a joy to behold.

Have a wonderful week dear Betsy with George, whatever your plans are.

Your smile is brighter than those sunflowers!!

Ah, just think of all the birds that field will feed. I'll say it again, your smiling face in the field of sunflowers may be the best yet.

I love the sunflowers, and that picture of you and George in the middle of the field is just perfect! Now, if Biltmore would just put you on the payroll for encouraging others to visit them, you'd be a wealthy woman! Oh, wait, you ARE a wealthy woman, in all the ways that matter! Have a glorious day! :-)

I've seen giant fields of sunflowers on our travels, but I had no idea the Biltmore had such a large field of them. They are a perky flower, aren't they? These are gorgeous photos.

you both looked adorable in the sunflowers. How wonderful. That photo of the two of you should be framed. It's just perfect! ♥

I didn't know Biltmore had sunflowers! I've only visited once and it probably wasn't the right time of year, but in central France where my family lived for a while, sunflower oil was one of the main crops. Tournesols they are called, literally turn to the sun! How I loved that time of year when the fields were all ablaze with yellow!

Those are some lovely sunflowers. A neighbor down the road planted a lot of sunflowers. they were almost to bloom stage when the deer found them. Yesterday I saw he had one bloom. The rest had been eaten off.

Beautiful! I guess I am guilty of taking these flowers for granted.Farmers grow them as oil seed crops here and often we see fields and fields of them. Your pictures show just how beautiful they are. I may just have to find me a field of sunflowers and have a photo session. But not today,it is just TOO hot.

I think those sunflowers do you well:) You look just like one of them with your sunny smile:) Beautiful fields and of course always a bonus when it's with someone you love. Sunflowers are beautiful....in Spanish they're called "Girasol" or that which turns around the sun:)

Such happy pretty photos. The sunflower fields are beautiful. I had a giggle about the first shot. The two sunflowers in front of you are strategically placed. You could be a calendar girl.

The pics DID make me smile. I love sunflowers, too. My guess is you both purposely wore the YELLOW shirts so you would coordinate with the flowers. The photo of the two of you is another of my favorites - - in the top five or ten.

Hi Betsy, Beautiful pictures of the Sunflower field. If we had stayed in Crossville at our little farm, we had thought of planting a crop of Sunflowers. Alas, we decided that Florida was the best choice so here we are! Have a wonderful Tuesday tomorrow!

You and George looked great surrounded by all those sunflowers. Great shots! I visited a field of sunflowers a few weeks ago but their poor heads were so droopy as they had been beaten down by heavy rains, and the whole field looked like they were so sad all bent over.

Wonderful sunflowers, BetsY!
They're always looking for life through the sun, anyway, any where any time!!!
