If you missed last week's blog post showing some spring flowers in our yard, click HERE to see those pictures... Today, I will share more with you. The picture above is a combination of some Daffodils, red Tulips, Dad Adams' Daffodils, a little of our pink Phlox (in the background) and some of our white Candy Tuft. Below are more. Please click on the pictures for enlargements.
I love this batch of white Tulips, named Purissima. They are located in the 'road' flowerbed out front. Aren't they pretty?
This picture shows the gorgeous yellow Forsythia in the side yard toward the back. Like I said, everything is blooming and is just breath-taking!!!!
Here's another picture of the Red Bud tree... I was standing in the road looking back toward the house. Isn't this just awesome? The bees LOVE the Red Bud blooms.
Do you like red tulips??? These red tulips (on the other end of the 'road' flowerbed from the white Tulips) are appropriately named Red Dynasty.
Finally, I stood in the street and took a picture looking back toward the house. Besides the Red Dynasty tulips, you can also see two of the three round flowerbeds, the container roses, and the two 'rose' flowerbeds --which now are ablaze with Spring flowers. (The roses won't bloom until May probably--although everything is blooming early this year... SO???? Who knows!!!)
I hope you aren't getting too bored with my Spring flower pictures... I guess, when you work in your yard for several years like we have done, and begin seeing so many rewards of your labors, it just becomes extremely exciting!!! AND--you want to share this joy--which we enjoy doing. Hope you like them!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Betsy, I always love seeing your yard and all the gorgeous flowers. I love the tulips and the redbud trees. You and George did a great job landscaping your property, it is beautiful. Have a great day!
Love your landscaping Betsy - your yard looks gorgeous!
I am so jealous of all your beautiful flowers Betsy! I had to buy some flowers for myself last weekend just to make me feel better about the snow dump we received. Sigh...they really are beautiful ~ thank you for sharing them!

You have such a lovely yard, Betsy. It took a lot of work to get it looking so nice. Might as well enjoy it as much as possible. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.
lovely flowers. You and George did a wonderful job.
I'm not tired of seeing your beautiful garden. In fact, I feel as if I've been walking around with you--coffee in hand, of course. I wish I had plucked a small bouquet to bring in with me. Next time!
Best,
Bonnie
Our trips through Tennessee, and the whole entire south actually was just breathtaking this year. So many blooming flowers and trees, and we even had waterfalls to look at up and down the mountain by Chattanooga. SO beautiful, but I think the red buds and the dogwoods are my favorite. Was that wisteria we saw or creeping myrtle? Loved it too!
I am happy to come walk around your yard with you any day. Seeing all that beauty is a great way to start the day. Have another beauty filled day.
If my yard looked like that I'd be out there taking photos all the time...everything is so pretty...when I look at these photos I also appreciate all the hard work that has gone into this beautiful scene...Great job Betsy and George!!!
I wish you could come down and start my yard. I bet the neighbors LOVE your yard. My favorite flower is the pink tulip. sandie
It's such a wonder seeing everything come to life. YeeHaw!
So lovely. I'm envious of the tulips. I thought you had deer problems? I can't plant tulips with the deer I have roaming the woods around me. I love daffodils, too so am satisfied with those and look forward to when they are a swath of yellow in several years.
Wow does George do good work. Love those terraced beds. Spectacular.
Our red buds and dogwoods have finally gone to leaf. They were so pretty in bloom. Enjoy yours, I sure did.
I could never get bored looking at you flower pictures. Your yard is gorgeous.
Your gardens are beautiful!
It's apparent the love and effort you and George have poured into your house and yard. And it is indeed paying off. You have a lovely little sanctuary there. It's a wonder you ever want to leave it to go waterfalling. :)
Beautiful yard and landscape Betsy! I have never had much luck with tulips, I prefer daylilies and roses.
i bet the neighborhood just LOVES your yard! what a host of color!
You've got an amazing gardener with an eye for perfection! I'd like nothing better today than to come for a visit and inhale deeply! Your garden is a jewel!
Hi Betsy, You should be proud of your efforts. All that hard work is paying off with a gorgeous landscape in your yard. Have a great day - you may want to keep an eye on the weather later tonight.
Absolutely gorgeous !
I'd say the bees make a headline straight for your place :)
Love those red tulips..

Everything looks so beautiful, Betsy. Love all the bright colors---just what we need after a rainy and gray winter. The Tulips are very late out here. The Daffodil fields are ablaze but the Tulips are barely up of the ground and the Tulip Festival starts April 1st. Mother Nature is doing her thing. LOL MB
That's a beautiful flowers.I love spring but I have allergy. This is my blog you can check some caverns in my post.Diamond Caverns is in Kentucky.
I could never get bored looking at all that natural beauty, Betsy. Your (and George's) hard work has certainly paid off---your yard is lovely. I envy your neighbors getting to see that all the time! I'm sure the entire neighborhood looks forward to seeing what new wonder is blooming in George and Betsy's yard.

Those white tulips! Wow! And the redbuds are so lush! Everything is just gorgeous! What a lovely yard!
Yes, the yard art around here is lots of fun. I miss the variety and lushness of spring color. I'm working on buying a few plants to get some more color into my yard! We have some here and there but I have to embrace it where I can.
Absolutely beautiful flowers, Betsy! It represents many hours of back-breaking work and tender care. You have a quality "picture-book" home.
So wonderful garden:) it is worth the work. Here in my garden, there is no flowers yet. We still have to wait for the spring. It is raining almost everyday. No flowers , but Thanks God for water to drink:)
You and George have a gorgeous yard, Betsy! Love all your flower beds and look at those pots of roses! They will be so beautiful this summer. I am very pleased with my Knockouts that I planted in pots just like yours. They are full of leaves and are looking super. Can't wait to plant more, but it's still early even tho the weather seems otherwise. It's been so nice here.
Enjoy your day! I'm turning off the computer and going outside!
Just beautiful. What a delight it must be to walk your yard each morning.
What a great time of year!!!
Your garden is looking gorgeous, Betsy. I'm so impressed!
It IS exciting!! I get excited seeing flowers in other people's yards, I can't imagine in your OWN yard!! I love those wonderful snow white tulips!!
How could anyone possibly get bored looking at all your gorgeous flowers. That red bud tree is so pretty and I love the tulips.
All the bright colors in your yard are gorgeous, and everything is so neat and beautifully arranged. Somebody has been working really hard!
Thank you for letting me enjoy your beautiful yard and flowers. It looks like a scene form a magazine. So gorgeous.
Excellent pictures of the red bud - either I have never seen one, or when I did it was not blooming...And, you can never go wrong with tulips!...I hope your spring is fabulous.
You both have done an excellent job placing those tulips and other bulbs in those planters. I love how you have them spaced out. And I think you have a gorgeous front yard and treescape going on around your house:) Hope the color lasts awhile:) Do you put Irises in before summer?
Love this! Vol Fan and I 'walk' the yard daily, usually evenings:) We have done this for years and years!
You and George certainly have "green thumbs." You yard is so pretty!
You have to check everyday or you'll miss something!
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
makes me happy just looking at your beautiful place!
As someone said, you have a bloomfest. Congratulations for already reaping the fruits of your labor. And one more observation, you have a very well-manicured garden. I wonder who did which, or who did that. I bet George put all those tiles for beds.
Exceptionally beautiful Betsy! Larry
I never get bored looking at your flowers. And you are right, it is breathtaking! That red-bud is just gorgeous. I have always wanted one of those.
Your garden is a joy to look at. I can imagine how much work went into producing such a pretty yard.
I know it is a lot of hard work but the end result is lovely! It would be wonderful to walk this each day.

You could have a fresh bouquet every day! They are all so gorgeous!
Betsy
If I had a yard like your, I'd be showing it off too. I'm sure it did take a lot of labor to accomplish this beauty!
Hi Betsy. It's great to see all your hard work come to fruition in such a blaze of colour. Our early flowering Daffs are just going over and I'm waiting for the Tulips to open. Still praying for some rain over here!
Your yard looks beautiful and I sure do enjoy your pictures. The Tulips and Red Bud trees are stunning and your grass lawn looks happy too. :)
I really enjoyed this morning walk in the garden with you and George...even though it is now 7:30 pm. :) I'm late again.
That redbud tree is amazing...as are all your pretties.
xo
Your place is so pretty with all the flowers. My daffodils have already bit the dust is the heat along with the forsythia. I'm afraid the tulips are going to be short lived also. Some things seem to be really confused by our weather this year.
Blessings
Marilyn
I am so jealous, especially of your red buds and yellow belles! Your yard is just gorgeous and I can almost smell the blooms. I can tell you two have really done a lot of hard work!
Never get tired of your flowers Betsy! Your time and effort indeed pays off. You have a beautiful yard.
Hi Betsy!
