Flowers from Biltmore

When we were at Biltmore House and Gardens in November,  we not only saw beautiful Christmas flowers, but we also saw many other other beautiful flowers, including orchids. I'm sorry that I do not know the names of these,  but there were lots and lots of gorgeous flowers throughout the indoor gardens.  I need to go back and learn more about these beauties!!!

If you have missed any of my other posts from Biltmore,  please go to my sidebar and scroll down to my Labels.  Click on Biltmore and you can see all of the posts which I have done from there so far.  Today,  here are six more of the gorgeous flowers from Biltmore.

Many bloggers are sharing beautiful pictures of flowers during our winter season.  The flowers remind us all that Spring is right around the corner here in the USA...  This has been a wicked winter for many folks ---so seeing some beautiful flowers hopefully will bring a smile to your faces.

However, Mother Nature is wreaking havoc on many parts of our country right now (not us this time) and also in other countries, such as Australia.  Let's keep all of the people in the path of these horrible storms in our thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

Good Morning Betsy, It is nice to see these pretty and colorful flowers in your photos. Yesterday was so dreary here but I am thankful that we are not having the terrible storms so many of our blog friends are experiencing. Hope you have a nice day.

Hi, Betsy. The flower images are a nice little dose of color in a winter-dreary landscape. Snow has its own beauty, and I wouldn't wish it entirely away; but I find myself looking forward to the greening up of spring. Thanks for the preview. :)

Have a fabulous day.I will be trying to stay warm, once again it is COLD,with predicted windchills of −40C.

Gorgeous flowers! And I am keeping everyone in the wake of today's storms in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh such pretty colors. Love the heart background too.
Sorry I have not been around much - been doing family research - weird twist - while I am doing all these family pictures I got a letter from a company saying my siblings and I are possible heirs. Doesn't have the tell tale marking of a scam - they aren't asking for any money unless we are proven - and then it is less than 10% Freaky so I am doing lots of research trying to find out about them.

So pretty, Betsy...those flowers are indeed a balm to my winter-weary spirit. Thank you. And thanks, too, for the reminder to remember those who are going through weather hardships far worse than ours.

I love the colors of those flowers. I just keep thinking, after February the worst could be past.

Thanks too for the prayers. The first leg of these two storms is past, and was not nearly as bad as expected. Let's hope we can escape some of that snow too.

We are just beginning with the rain right now but the temps are really dropping fast. We will either get ice or snow later. If ice, I'll see ya in a week or so when the power comes back on, if snow, I will be outside playing.
Thanks for the bright beginning to an iffy day.

Seeing your beautiful flowers does bring a smile to my face on this rainy Tuesday morning.

Wow, you've done renovations on your blog! It looks gorgeous! And so do all those lovely flowers you saw at Biltmore. I'm so thankful for all the splashes of color in our blog world if not yet in our own surroundings! With the news being so terrifying, we do need to keep everyone in prayer. God have mercy!

Kewl new background and header, Betsy! The orchids are beautiful! I've never been successful at growing them, myself, but I do enjoy looking at them. The yellow one is especially gorgeous!

I came by to ask if you would please "rerun" some of your beautiful flowers photos from summer and found that you do have a flower post. Thanks, I needed that as the blizzard snows fly all around us and white is the only color at the moment.

Best,
Bonnie

Thanks for welcoming me back home. It appears the storm is going to go around us--there will be disappointment at school for sure!

I enjoyed your bird post--always do.

Your flowers here remind of notecards I bought yesterday. Half-price Books have the best boxes of assorted flower and plant and such notecards---beautiful photos with an explanation of the flower or plant or table arrangement on the back. I bought several, because I use them as an instant 'pick-me-up to friends, collegues, etc.

Am ready for color, but do enjoy snow days also.

As for the house: only one showing and only one person at one of the two open houses. I'm not down about it, because I know God is having us stayi in this small b'bille house for His reasons.
Not sure I can convince hubby of that. He wants the 'albatross' taken off from around his neck!

Wonderful pictures, Betsy! I made a lot of those gorgeous flowers when we were there. It's a breath of fresh air in the winter to see them blooming!

Hi Betsy, Oh, I sure do like those orchids - especially the vivid yellow one! Have a wonderful day in spite of the grey and drizzle. Possible T storm later but that is "Iffy" as we know the track record of the weather guessers. Have a super good afternoon!

Yes, Betsy, pretty flowers do the heart good while it's rainy and cold. They are exceptional pictures just like you and George are exceptional persons!

The new header (although I do love the last one!) is scrumptious! And so are the orchids!!!! Mine are all just sitting here -- green and happy -- no blooms....yet! But I'm an optimist.

Jo said...

Betsy, these flowers are beautiful Love the orchids. We have tree orchids in our garden here for the first time since we lived in Zululand in the 70's and 80's. Thanks for reminding me: I will pray for those suffering in other parts of the world. And of course, Egypt and it's chaos. Bless you my friend. (((Hugs))) Jo

They are beautiful, Betsy....can't wait till we can have some live flowers in our yard.

So far, so good...it had not done any kind of precipitation till about an hour ago and it has been sleeting steady every since.

The ground was crunchy this morn;-)

Hi Betsy, your beautiful flower photos are a sight for sore eyes that have been peering out the window the past several hours watching a blizzard! I wonder, too, what the lovely flower is in your first photo? The yellow iris is especially pretty. Makes me really long for warmer weather and watching the flowers bloom. Take care and I hope this storm misses you! (I'm thankful we still have electricity at least!)

Just me again...I forgot to tell say that I really like your Valentine theme, the header and background are great!

With all the monster snow storms and cyclones around right now a look at some of mother nature's beauty is really nice. Beautiful flowers Betsy, I'm looking forward to spring too.

What beautiful variety, Betsy. It's so nice to see the flowers, when most of our world is looking white and gray. Hope you stay warm through this latest storm.
I really like the Valentine header!

These beautiful flowers are a nice "pick me up" today! We're expecting over 12 inches tonight w/ blizzard conditions - might be too much snow for my liking, ha,ha! I'm looking forward to spring - and of course being able to see yours and George's beautiful roses.

I love those orchids, but cannot grow them here. They seem to do much better farther South. It is much warmer there.
Of course if a person had a hot house??????

Betsy, great pictures of the Orchids! They are are sure hard to beat aren't they? I have probably 40 orchids in the house. I have been experimenting with them for about 20 years! Beauties!

Lovely photos of so many gorgeous orchids! I have yet to visit the Biltmore. Hopefully I'll see it someday.

I hope to go to the NY Botanical Garden's indoor orchid show in March.

Thank you for the lovely flower pictures and yesterday's birdies. Both a welcomed relief from the white stuff piling up outside! I'm afraid if all our snow thaws at once I will float right off the mountain - Haha!
