Most of you know (unless you are fairly new) that George and I grow ROSES (Hybrid-Tea and Grandiflora). I should say that George grows Roses --since he is the one who loves them and cares for them--about 55 different varieties... I just ENJOY them... He spoils me by bringing a new Rose bud or bloom into the house most every single day just for me to enjoy.
I have published five blog posts so far showing pictures of our Roses. You can check out the other five posts by looking at the sidebar, scrolling down to labels, and then clicking on ROSES 2010.
Today, I'm showing you 6 more of these beauties. Above is one of my favorite new roses this year. Its name is RONALD REAGAN, and this one has really given us some gorgeous large blooms this year. I like the white touch on this bright red rose. Wish you could see it in person! Below are more!

Hope you are enjoying our Roses this year. As you know, we have had an unusually hot summer, so like us, the Roses have struggled. But--they are hanging in there (thanks to George's tender care).
Thanks to all of you for sending RAIN our way yesterday. We had almost an inch of rain, the most we have had in a long time. Thanks be to God!
Today is our 109th Monthaversary!!! If you are fairly new to my blog, then you may not know that George and I didn't meet until we were age 59. We got married in 2001---so since we missed out on so many years together, we celebrate our love every chance we get these days. We got married on June 23---so we celebrate the 23rd of EVERY month.. Today, George is taking me to the Outback Steak House for dinner... YUM...
Have a great weekend, and I'll blog again on Monday.
Hugs,

George's roses are always so pretty. Have fun at dinner!
Happy 109th!
Your roses are so beautiful...I am always a bit partial to yellow roses, and red...but I must say I would not mind having Wildfire either.
The roses are gorgeous, especially the first one it is a classic shape. The photos are to be commended too. You have a great dinner tonight. It is already night here. I can tell you it was a beautiful day only marred by the fact that i had to go to work.

Hi Betsy, Happy 109th! Enjoy your day of celebration today. I like that Wildfire rose. It is just beautiful. We have a heat advisary for the nest 2 days here. I swore I would not complain about the heat this summer but this is getting to me. I hope your knee is getting better every day. Have a good weekend.
i don't think i can pick a favorite today, they are ALL lovely. I bet your house and garden smell lovely to
Absolutely gorgeous...especially with water droplets.
The roses are all pretty! Enjoy your dinners at the Outback. It is one of my favorite restaurants.
Someone should invent 'scratch and sniff' monitors so we could enjoy all the fragrance as well as the beauty of your roses.
I wonder how the names of roses come about.
Have a delightful dinner and weekend.

How luck are you, Betsy. First he grows you a garden of beautiful roses and then he takes you out to dinner.
You two youngins have a great time celebrating.
Happy Monthaversary!!!!
I love Wildfire...so gorgeous.
Glad you got some much needed rain, looks like we will have a day of it thanks to TS Bonnie.
Betsy: Love your macros of your wonderful roses. The Japanese Beetles are attacking mine.
Hi Betsy, beautiful roses. Chicago Peace is one of my favorites, love the colors.
We got rain last night too. The outer edge of that storm that dumped 7-inches on Milwaukee. Looks like we got about 2 1/2 inches or more. I won't be complaining about drought for at least a couple weeks.

Beautiful Roses and a great restaurant choice! Happy 109th!
Have a fun 109th celebration. Those roses are lovely.
We got a little rain yesterday too ... about a 15 minute rain ... after weeks without anything. Now we are heading into another hot dry spell.once again.
I learned about Grainger tomatoes this year. They ARE good. Your roses are gorgeous. I can almost smell them from here.
Glad the relief rain poured down on you yesterday! The roses are surviving well under George's TLC! Love the photos - the yellow roses tug at my heart strings. Had yellow roses at our wedding. Blessed 109th seems like before you know it another month has gone by! Up here it is getting to the last week of July and we haven't truly had summer yet - still feels like spring. Oh, believe me, I'm NOT complaining! My bod can't stand the heat and we don't have A/C in our apartment.
Hope your on the mend healthwise! Hugs for a lovely week-end. Enjoy the dinner!
Happy monthaversery, Betsy and George! You are blesssed and bless us all with your special love. Your roses are STUNNING. Thanks for sharing these beauties. You asked over at my post what the temps are here in South Africa. It's midwinter and at night it's anything from 1 degree to minus 7 or 8. During the day the tempertature is about 12 degrees Celcius. The days are beautiful. Bless you my friend. Jo

Betsy,
George's roses are beautiful! I love the pretty photos. I can almost smell their sweet fragrance. How sweet for him to bring you roses each day. I sure hope you have fun on your Monthaversary. What a wonderful love story!
Happy Monthaversary!!!
Happy Monthaversary! I loved all of the roses but I think I favor the Ronald Reagan...stunning. Have a wonderful weekend!
This hot summer has effected so many blooms...it was nice to see more of your roses. The Ronald Regan rose was my favorite.
Happy monthaversary you two love birds :) Enjoy your dinner!

Have a blooming onion for me. I really think you should take all your flower, birds, and waterfall pictures and make a book.
roses and love and anniversary and out to dinner - great post!
Oh My Betsy, soo sooo soooo pretty!
Hi Betsy, I like the "New Day" rose the best of those you have presented here today. Glad it did rain yesterday! Hope you enjoy your dinner out!
Georgous pictures, as usual! Perhaps one day you will do a post on tea roses. I think I know the differemce, and have pictures of some, but not sure. Aren't they the flatter, wilder looking roses? Happy monthversary!!! We need to squeeze all the joy and memories out of life that we can! Yum, Outback, let me know what you ordered and how it was, we have one here, but I'm the kind of person that always sticks with the one or two things on the menu that I know I will like. We are very interested in George's new toy, and I've asked him about it, have you used it? We may get one at some point, but know nothing about it.
Beautiful! So interesting to hear the names too!
Happy Monthoversary!
At least you know the names of all your beauties. These are all so lovely.
Roses are so appropriate on your anniversary!! Your story - you and George - is an inspiring one, and I'm sure the next chapters will be just as exciting! Have a wonderful dinner!
Happy Monthiversary to you & George.
Your roses are lovely. When I lived in Chicago area, I had over 100 rose bushes; since moving to SW Florida, I have about 4 bushes, growing in huge pots. Even grafted on the Floridan root, the roses don't last but a couple of years. I live so close to the Gulf, no matter how much I amend the soil, sand keeps seeping up. I greatly appreciate you sharing all of your roses with us.
Have a super weekend.
Your roses are so gorgeous, Betsy. Enjoy your steak dinner! :D
Betsy I just got home from having a steak dinner hope your's was as good as my....lovely roses. Trish
Happy Monthaversary!!!!! YUM...love Outback!
xoxo- Julie
These are so beautiful...thank you for sharing them!
Beautiful roses, I bought 1 rose this spring and planted it in a pot beside my front steps. It has done so well that I think I will get some more next spring. I love to smell the one I have each time I go down the steps.
Have a blessed weekend
Marilyn
Happy Monthaversary!

I also grow roses in my garden, and love them...
I'm glad I found your blog !
Frederic Mistral (Hope I remembered the spelling!) is just about a perfect rose and a perfect picture of a rose! Wonderful! Congrats to the gardener and the photographer on this one!!
Breathtaking!
Thank you for sharing Betsy.
Have a wonderful day.
xo
Wowzers! Betsy. They are all awesome. Two of mine have 'passed away from the 'flip me over, I'm done on that side' heat wave. I love visiting you, you are such a pickmeupper!

Chicago Peace is my fav of this group.
Happy monthiversary! Hope you have a lovely dinner.
If there is a photo contest around somewhere, you really need to enter one or two or ALL of your photos. Incredible.
Love, love, love all your roses, Betsy! Thanks for sharing them.
Bet your dinner was great!
Chicago Peace and Wildfire...love them both! Boy, you guys sure find lots of reasons to celebrate :-) and that is a very good thing! Enjoy yourselves!
23rd is a great day, and dont Roses grow on you too.
Happy anniversary-celebrate, celebrate, celebrate!! I love Outback's chopped salad!! Thanks for sharing more of those beautiful roses. I'd say that George keeps you well supplied with roses all season long. I can imagine how lovely the scent is from your garden.
We, too, had rain and things cooled off to the point that I've cancelled the movers (to Iceland) for now.
Best,
Bonnie
Outback sounds like a great place to celebrate! Your roses really do look beautiful. George must have the golden touch, or, well, I guess green thumb is the right description. I'll bet they smell heavenly!
Betsy: George is a magic man with roses. I love the Wildfire.
