Most of you know that George grows Hybrid Tea and Grandiflora Roses. Most of them are fragrant roses --so you can only imagine how pretty they all look in our yard, and how good the yard smells. Growing Roses is not the easiest thing to do --but George is fantastic at it. He loves his 'babies'. AND--with the new camera and macro lens, he takes fabulous pictures of them also.
Today I will show you six of this year's blooms---some of our pretty pink Roses. Above is one called PARADISE. Below are five more.
This one is named ELLA.
This is one of my favorite roses EVER. Its name is DOUBLE DELIGHT.
AROMATHERAPY
SWEETNESS
LOVE AND PEACE
Roses are amazing to watch. Some of them start out one color, and as they age, the colors change. AMAZING!!!! Hope you enjoyed some of our 'PANK' ones!!!!! Aren't they just 'purdy'?????? (Tennessee Talk!!!) There will be many more to come.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

They are all beautiful. I imagine having a whole yard full of those blooms is heavenly! Do roses still need a lot of fussing over to be healthy? Used to be, growing roses was pretty much like a part-time (or maybe full-time) job.
Betsy, First I must tell you that you have a very infectious smile and it always makes me smile right back.
Your roses are 'amazing' and and gorgeous. I appreciate your sharing their beauty.
Beautiful. George should do a 'How To Grow Roses' post.
My rose loving Bev would be in hog heaven at you place.
Gorgeous Roses! I wish George would teach Jeep to garden!!!
I love PANK.
I also love Pank and Yallow. :)
Wow ~ that last rose is really beautiful! So different.

Pink is Purdy, so is your site today. The Love and Peace is my favorite of these roses. the colors are super. isn't it just plain wonderful what we can find in our yards that make the heart sing with joyful reflections?
Pink is not my first choice but Double Delight blew me away.
What a wonderful aroma you must have every day.
George does good work.
George's roses are lovely. I wish I could smell them.
Double Delight has to be one of my all time favorite roses. I think I have more photos of it than any other flower.

Sweetness is my favorite. Can I come and smell your garden?
My paternal Grandmother must have had a yard like yours. I always enjoyed going to visit her and walking through her gardens. She could always tell me each and every name of all her 75 roses, and the other flowers. I think she gave to me my love for yard work.

Sweetness and Ella, hands down. Now let's see if you can top that!!
Wow Betsy, your home has got to be one of the nicest ones ever, with all the many roses and other plants you have! How great that George takes such great care of the roses and plants and the new camera sure does a fantastic job of showing off the blooms! I would so love to be your neighbor!! Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh goodness ~ they are PURDY!!! Roses are one plant that I really don't have much success with. I've tried growing several varieties; that they say grow in this area and you just can't kill them ... but somehow... they manage to die under my green thumb. You're a lucky woman to have such a flower loving man in your life!! AND... isn't it fantastic all those cool shots you get with your new camera of the birds and blooms. Wonderful!!
Hi, thanks for sharing your beautiful roses. George certainly does a marvelous job growing and photographing them. :)
You have the most beautiful flowers, Betsy! Amazing. Both you and George are gifted gardeners.
I bet your neighbors just adore living near year!! Almost like living near the UT gardens :) I love visiting there.
Oops. I just saw the note on your sidebar about giveaways :(
I am having one that provides a Family Pass (2 adults and 4 children!) to the new Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge. We went on Sat and it was wonderful. Very classy!
I was hoping you would enter and you could take the grands!
If you don't enter, could you put something on your sidebar or a mention? I know you have more local followers than I do!
If not, no hard feelings :)
It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend. Maybe the horses will get baths if the temp does not dip at night!
Enjoy your lovely weekend!

Betsy: That Love and Peace Rose is just beautiful with the two colors.
You would win any contest you ever entered with these roses. Simply out of this world. Mine look pitiful after seeing yours.
Very purdy!
Delightful, beautiful, & smells like heaven. I didn't know there was that many.
I have a couple that brother {Lovestruck & Black Cherry} brought me & I love them. He just brought me 4 knockout roses,,2 yellows, 1 dbl red & 1 dbl pink. Love them.
Beautiful flowers. The double delight really is beautiful.
Would you consider sending george to Australia to teach me how to grow roses? hehehe
The double delight is a corker.
All beautiful. No wonder they are all favorites. Ella and Love and Peace are exceptional---I think. Yellow roses are my favorite but then again I always like Joseph's Coat. Do you have that one? I can't wait to see all 55. MB

I can't decide which I like the best but Double Delight and Love and Peace are in the running. George does a great with the roses.
We did go through Nampa, ID. The town where we stayed was Meridian which is just a few miles from Nampa. We wanted to see an airplane museum in Nampa but there was so much road construction we decided to save it for a later trip.
You two are amazing with your gardening abilities! WOW!!! George is the rose king! These are extreemely PURDY!!!
May I come over and just 'breathe' in your yard? What glorious roses! Well done, George!
Hi
I entered through Unseen Rajastan. And what a treat for the eyes you have presented ! The roses are all so delightful, breathtaking & fascinating. I could almost feel the freshness, smell the dew & the aroma. Tremendous dedication must have gone into cultivating the roses.
U r welcome to my blog. Best Wishes

55 rose bushes?! Holy moley girl, do you guys have a gardener helping you tend to this? Just beautiful. My Laura Bush rose died over the winter, so I think I will just live my "rose-lust" through your photos...only thing I miss out on that wonderful aroma. Have a good weekend. Blessings, Cassie
Oh my gosh, Betsy! These are so gorgeous! Wonderful photos. Hope you have a good weekend. :)
These are amazingly beautiful roses. I think my favorite of the group might be Ella!
You should be on the Pink Saturday train with us. These would be a perfect fit.
XO,
Sheila :-)
Love And Peace is perfect. We need more of both!
Brilliant photo of my all time favorite - DOUBLE DELIGHT!!
What does "Purdy" mean? When I "googled" it:
"Definition of doubly purdy
•Rural Southern Alabama. Denotes that a person, animal or object is rather ugly in appearance. More words meaning: unattractive, ugly"
I'm sure that's NOT what you are meaning! ♥
Hi Betsy,
Theses roses are beyond beautiful...I love seeing the changes they go through as they open up.
Thanks so much for showing them...and coming to get me..I've been out of Blogland most of the week..[highly unusual for me]...we are in full gear working on projects around the house.
It's been 4 weeks today since Thomas had his surgery. He's doing really well.
Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie ♥
These roses are lovely-they are one of my favorite flowers for the beauty and scent.

Beautiful roses! I too, am a lover of roses and have always had them in my yard! Where we are it's always a challenge...our soil is very sandy, for one thing... but I keep trying!
Double Delight is a beauty! I have had those but not at this time.
A couple of my favorite pink roses are 'Queen Elizabeth' and McCartney! My header right now is a McCartney rose and I recently posted a pic of Queen Elizabeth!
