As I've mentioned several times before, our Tulips this year are probably more beautiful than they have ever been. I have several posts upcoming, showing the Tulips --so today, I'll start with a few of our pictures.
We have most of the Tulips in our side flowerbed --but there are some in the new flowerbed near the road. And--there are a few near the garage door. I haven't counted the total number we have ---but there are LOTS of them.. Above is a picture of the side flowerbed. In this bed are what's left of our Daffodils and many Tulips. Below are more pictures of our Tulips.
These Tulips are called PURISSIMA.
All of these pinkish Tulips are named LIGHT AND DREAMY.
From left to right: PURISSIMA, BIG SMILE, PURISSIMA and HALEY'S COMET
Here's another picture of the side bed -from the other direction. I wish all of you could be here to see all of these colors.
A couple of people say that my blog is hard to load on Blogger... SO---I've lowered the number of pictures from 8 to 5... IF this helps, please let me know. I want everyone to be able to read my blog. Thanks!
Hope you had a good Wednesday. George and I are 'happy campers' now since both of us got excellent reports from our doctor yesterday. We had had all of our lab work done a week ago--so yesterday was 'getting the report' day!!!! Hallelujah... We did GREAT....
This time of year, since we are so busy doing yardwork, I have decided to follow what many of you are already doing. I won't post a blog on Saturday or Sunday for awhile--but I will try to visit your blogs when I have time during the weekends.
Hugs,

Betsy, the tulips are gorgeous. I love the Purissima, I rarely see white tulips here. My tulips seem to be doing better this year too.
The yard work is what has me so behind on comments lately but then it is that time of the year. Congrats on your good reports from the doctor.
Hugs,
Judy
Wow gorgeous captures Betsy.
Such delighufl tulips.
Congrats for the excellent reports.
Looking forward for more adventure and photos.
Hi Betsy, A clear bill of health is worth more than gold in your pocket!
It must be a pleasure to see all your beautiful tulips every day. I'm sure your neighbors enjoy them too.
All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!
Betsy and George, Your hard work making such lush flower beds is sure rewarding you and the neighborhood. WOW! Lovely daffodils and now tulips. Love them all.
BlessYa and have a Great Weekend
beautiful! I too have seemed to run out of time. I pop in a few times each day to read blogs and catch up but am guilty of not posting comments often.
always know I will leave with a smile when I visit your blog
Your tulips are fabulous, Betsy! Glad to hear you got a good report from the Dr. Have a great weekend! :-)
Having planted many bulbs in my long life I see a lot of work went into these and I congratulate you as you are clearly rewarded for the effort.
Glad you got good reports from the doctor. Your Tulips are beautiful!
Just beautiful! You know I LOVE tulips!
Beautiful Betsy! Glad to hear you guys got great reports from the doc.
Have a great weekend and enjoy this beautiful weather.
Congrats big time on the clean check ups. All that hiking is paying off.
Love you tulips though am a bit envious. Nothing came out of my tulip bed this year. Have no idea what happened.
I think I have dirt permanently under my fingernails! And this fall, I HAVE to plant some tulips!!
Lovely! I need to plant some bulbs this fall! I used to have lots of tulips but they've all died off over the years!
So great that all your tests came back fine! What a blessing it is to enjoy good health! Love your tulips - the pure white is exquisite! Have a fantastic week-end!! Hugs!
How beautiful your garden grows. I would love to have such lovely flowers but they don't like tropical weather. It is great that I can see them in your garden. As you may have noticed I only post every second day to give myself time with other chores. See you Monday have fun in the garden. I just did as you will see on my blog.
Betsy: Your tulips are lovely. I am ready for mine to open, they are on the North side of the house so they take a while.
Betsy you and George have outdone yourselves... such a beautiful display of tulips! I may have to plant more this fall. ;)
Have a wonderful weekend and congratulations on a good bill of health.
They sure are purdy Betsy and we really like tulips as well. One of our kids lived in Holland for a couple of years and we managed a visit at prime tulip time. The tulip gardens were unbelievable.
Betsy, the Tulips are lovely. So cheerful!!
Good to hear you all got an ;A plus' on your health reports. It's all that outdoor living.
I have never had a problem with your pictures and I have blogger---I wonder what some mean?
Keep posting and visiting. MB
True words spoken from your Tu-Lips.
lol.
Great pictures. I can tell you are getting a good handle on PE8.
What slows down the download has more to do with the size of the pictures as well as the number. I don't worry about it since I see it on many blogs now that they have gone to the new format.
I like that mixture of colors. It looks so festive. Mine are mostly blown but one new patch of Parrots just opened yesterday. I will enjoy them for a few days.
Marnie
Fabulous tulips! What a lovely array of colors.
They are talking a possibility of snow here this weekend - can you believe that?!!
Sunny :)
Congratulations on your good medical reports. That's a real upper, isn't it. Your tulips are very beautiful. Ours are about 3/4 inch high so far. They don't want to stick their noses out until they think it's safe. Diane
The Tulips are so lovely.I wish I could see and photograph them myself.Don't get me wrong, your pictures are fantastic, but you know,we always like to take more shots.Have a great weekend.
Blessings,Ruth
I agree with Squirrel Queen. I love the Purrisima. just because it's so unexpected and you don't think of white when you think of tulips. but you have such variety, I love them all!! SO glad you both got good checkups. I haven't had any real problems with your blogs loading. Except that the pictures take a bit longer to come in than the text does.
Good news on the check ups. Also loved the tulips - made my little bed of tulips almost look sick!!!
Blessings for a great week-end.
Beautiful tulips. I'm wondering if they are prettier this year because you got SNOW!!! They do like a nice cold winter (one of the reasons why I don't plant them here -- although I could have this year!).
Happy to hear your doc reports were good!
Betsy,
Your tulips are so beautiful. I love tulips and you sure have a showcase in your garden. I enjoyed this posting very much.
So glad you got good reports from the doctor!! That is wonderful news. These tulips are beautiful too....btw
I love all the different colors. When my daughter was little I would take her to this certain house every year and let her walk on the side walk and admire their tulips. Maybe some little girl is making her mother drive by to see all your pretty flowers!
Congrats on the good doctor reports. Your tulips sure do add a lot of color and cheer to your yard. This time of year I also like to spend a lot of time in the garden. Have a happy weekend!
Hi Betsy, I don't blame you at all for posting less, I now do the same and it's better.
Your tulips are gorgeous and I will definitely be planting some this Fall thanks to you.
Have a great weekend :-)
Glad to hear that you and George are in good health, Betsy! "Health is better than wealth," as the saying goes ,,and it is so true!
Your tulips are so pretty! I like the mixed colors.
Your blog loads very well for me. I ahve a cable connection. I'm sure my blog is slow to load for dial up connections. It's hard for me not to put in a lot of photos..lol
Enjoy your weekend!
♥ Pat
They are so pretty. Thank you so much for sharing them with us.
Hi Betsy...glad you had great check ups...at our age that is always good news...and your tulips are just gorgeous...we will need to put out more this fall...but the small creatures seem to enjoy them so much LOL...and yes...your blog is slow to load...but I am not in a hurry...and the wait is worth it all...God Bless...hugs...Ora in KY
Hi Betsy, Glad your checkups went well. Love the pictures of the tulips. I am going to try planting them again this fall. It seems every time I plant bulbs the squirrels dig them up. Your blog loads a little slow sometimes for me but seemed faster this time. Have a great weekend.
Your tulips are gorgeous. I can see why doing yard work this time of year would necessitate decreasing time on blog! I would love to see all your flowers in person. I think I'd feel like I was walking through a park :-)
Good news on your doctor's visits. We will have blood work done next week. We hope to get good results too.
Absolutely beautiful tulips! Loved them all. I don't have any trouble with loading your posts.
Glad you both are fit and fiddle!
Blessings, CottonLady
Your blog did seem to load a little faster...the tulips are gorgeous!!! I have been so busy I went to blogging every other day now and reading blogs every couple of days if I get the time too....you gotta have a life out there and enjoy nature! So, don't worry, we'll be here!
Congratulations on your clean bill of health.
Your tulips are gorgeous. It looks like a lot of hard work but I suspect it was a labor of love.
Your tulips and yard look like something in a magazine! Just gorgeous!
Getting a good report from the doctor is something to celebrate and be thankful for!
Your Tulips are gorgeous!! Does George do all the planting? So glad y'all got good reports!! That always make you feel even better! Happy Weekend!
I really like the first shot, very beautiful capture! It's the subjects that made it grand, though!
Thanks for naming these tulips, they're amazing and I bet they smell good too. I especially like Purissima.
Betsy, I think they grew prettier since I was here earlier, or maybe you planted more.
Betsy, I have posted some birds I can't identify. When you get a chance I would appreciate it if you would take a look and see if you know what they are.
Thanks in advance :)
Have a great weekend.
Yes my Mother slways said that about the tipped up moon. MB
Thanks Betsy, you help me a lot and I greatly appreciate it. Sweet dreams:)
Wow, it got me humming "Tulips from Tennessee" (with apologies to the original song) Wow again, Betsy. These are stunning blooms. You could export them! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. (((Hugs))) Jo
Your tulips are beautiful, Betsy! Just seeing all those bright Crayola colors makes me happy. Your yard is so pretty.
Congratulations on the good report from the doctor---that is surely something to celebrate!
So so pretty! Like a rainbow of tulips : )
Betsy,
Well, congrats on your health report..always a sigh of relief when all comes back "normal"!!
Love all your flowers..such gorgeous colors and so many varieties. I plan lots of tulips but can never remember all their names..even if I write them down.. many of my tulips are already spent..and many that don't bloom until May are up and open!
Beautiful Betsy!! My wife's tulips are about gone. Her lady slippers are doing great!
Betsy, they are so beautiful! And so many of them!
Have a good weekend...would you believe Lorelei's mom is 28 yrs. old today!
We are going over there after a bit...I am taking the makings of shish-kabobs...one of her favorites.
I am back and glad to be, your tulips are still as pretty as 3 days ago. i feel like i mised weeks instead of days. they are goregous.
your site takes a really long time to load, i think it started when you added your header. maybe it is to large or something. that is when i noticed it.
Hi Betsy,
I love seeing your tulips and all the beautiful spring flowers/trees up there on the plateau! I am trying to play catch-up on my blog reading as I am so far behind. Have a great weekend!
Oh, Betsy,
Your tulips are just gorgeous. Did you protect them in any way from squirrels? Glad you and hubby are healthy and in good shape to explore more waterfalls. :)
Lovely!
Oh so very pretty! I liked the tulip post as it is very gray and dreary here today, your post certainly brightened the day. I am delighted you both had good check-ups!
Congratulations on your good reports Betsy. These are fabulous photos of your tulips, so colorful.
Love your new blog design ... very inviting! Just posted on a very special waterfall here in Florida (actually 12 of them all in one spot that then disappear into the ground).
Your Light and Dreamies make me HAPPY!
Beautiful Tulips/Photos... between gardening/golfing not as much time to spend on computer. I find it very difficult to be inside on beautiful spring days.
I'm glad you both got good reports...lovely tulips...as are all your flowers.God Bless Trish
I am so jeolous of you and your flowers. Soon, soon, here in Idaho.
gorgeous tulips! I love tulips! I have very few for 2 reasons--the deer eat them and I seem to have bought varieties that don't come back long.
