Why I Can't Wait 'Til Spring!

I have always loved birds. But--it was this past spring/summer that I really became 'addicted' to watching them. Once I realized that a Mama and Daddy Bluebird were growing a little family in the nest box in my yard, well----I found myself watching and watching and watching.. They are the most beautiful birds I have ever seen.. They even kept a 'clean' nest.. AND--their older fledglings also helped feed the babies. It was amazing to watch!!!! I hope they come back this year!!! I am anxiously waiting. Don't you love that picture above of the hungry babies??

Mama stops by to feed the babies.

Daddy helps also!!! Isn't he gorgeous????

Welcome to the big-ole-world, Babies!!! (Now you see why I'm ready for Spring?)

Hey Betsy, sorry,it's me again..LOL We are also BIG bird enthusiasts and feed all the wildlife. We are all excited over the great picture you took of the female pileated woodpecker!!! I used to sit in my sunroom with binoculars and watch them....they would fly close every once in awhile but never could get my camera fast enough...Do you mind if I save the picture you took? I would love to include her in a paper arts project of some sort...where we are staying at the moment for my husbands job has left us "bird" deprived. :0( Can't wait for the day to return to feeding the deer, raccoon, turkey, birds...well, you know, everything!! LOL
