DAY LILIES in our YARD, 2018 --Part II

Day Lilies blooming  on 7/3/18
Dear Friends,   Today I am featuring  Part II of some of the beautiful Day Lilies that bloomed in our yard this Summer...  (If you missed Part I,  click HERE to see them.)    I will have one more set to do next week....  I don't know if you prefer seeing them close-up as singles or in larger groups.  SO-- I'll do some of both!!!   Hope you enjoy them  --and are not  'day-lilied out'.......  ha

Day Lily Bed  --and Canna Lilies (upper left)-- 7/6/18   (Loved our Cannas this year)

As I have said many times,  George and I love Day Lilies.   Besides being so pretty and bringing color to the yard--they are easy to grow and since we buy re-bloomers,  they will bloom again in Fall.   They die back in winter --and come back in Spring!!!!!

Any favorites today for you????? I always love hearing your thoughts.

Hope you have an awesome week.

Hugs,

  1. WOW! These are all lovely, but the one that spoke to my heart was the Savannah Debutante.

I don't have any daylilies at all. I can see why you and George love growing them.

Have a great week ~ FlowerLady

  3. I love the rose header you have. Beautiful roses.
Daylilies I had have all been taken out by something. I give up unless I put them on some kind of barrier in the ground. I even had daffodils around them too.
    Happy Monday,

  4. Good morning Betsy, I think my favorite out of this batch is the savanna debutante. They are all so beautiful though, it is very hard to choose. Thank you for sharing more of the beauty of your garden with us my friend.

  6. Definitely Savannah Debutante for me today! So many fluffy petals, and such a soft color. My second fav may be Pink Playmate. The Criswell and Spanish Glow look alike except for the color, I like them a lot for the edges of the petals.

  8. Betsy, Our yard is drab compared to yours so I'm a little envious...except for the fact that I don't like yard work or gardening. So I'll just celebrate you and George's efforts! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  14. My favorite photo in this set is the one of the Spanish Glow day lilies. It's just a beautiful image. Being a horse lover, though, I'll have to pick the Wild Horses day lily as my favorite of the individual flowers. Your photos of these gems are all lovely.

  16. Dear Betsy, they are all beautiful, but my favorite is "Candy." That color is so subtle. It makes me wonder where color resides in a flower. Exactly what color is to begin with. Guess your photographs made me feel a little philosophical! Thank you. Peace.
