Well---which one if your fav???? Mine is the 3rd one from the top. I love the larger orchids --and those two colors together are awesome!!!
Nothing like pretty flowers to help us ALL feel a little warmer today. The deep south has been having some very frigid weather --and people who seldom ever see snow have seen some now.... Here in Fairfield Glade --we had about 2 inches of snow and at 11 p.m. last night (1/28/14), the thermometer on our deck said that it was ZERO degrees (F).... Yipes!!!!! I need another cup of coffee!!!!!
Please pop over to My Photo Blog (click HERE) to see one more gorgeous orchid--also a favorite of mine!
Have a great day.

They're all beautiful! I'd have a hard time picking a favorite. I'm sure ready for a little blooming around here, this cold is killing everything and what isn't dead is looking brown. Brrrrr!
ReplyDeleteWow! Gorgeous colors, and all of them so very pretty! My favorite was #3 also, with the purple near the end coming in a close second. Great shots! I know you enjoyed seeing them in person.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, I love all the gorgeous orchids. Beautiful images. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeletethey're all really pretty but that third one down just sort of jumps off the page at you and says "pick me" So that's what I will do :)
ReplyDeleteThey are all very striking. Stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers!
ReplyDeletexo Catherine
Yep, yep, yep....I agree. Tho I LOVE the color purple, the purple ones at the end just don't stack up to the third from the top of your post.
ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful I don't think I can pick a favorite. Thanks for "warming" me up this morning with pictures of orchids.
ReplyDeleteI really like the peach colored one. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are staying warm! our news reports are telling us a lot about the weather you are having there, I do hope it starts to warm up soon for you all. Great pics, I had to scroll quite a few times to pick a favourite as they are all so beautiful but pic no.2 is mine x x x
It must be pretty awesome to see so many of them growing in own place. The second picture from the top are like the ones I had in my wedding bouquet so many years ago.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your choice, Betsy. I like that one, too. The one right after that is another favorite. But they're all so beautiful. Thanks for such a lovely flowery post on such a cold winter day. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the fifth one down the best, but they are all beautiful! Lovely to see on this cold winter's day.
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful but I prefer the smaller orchids with multiples on each stem. They are really beautiful in Hawaii where they grow in mass profusion outside.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
They are all so pretty but I think the yellow one jumps out at me. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteAll are great, hard to pick a fav. I have three putting out stems for blooms in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteOh wow....you all are really getting a good share of snow this year. My Sam used to grow orchids and I always found them to be so interesting. Such lovely colors! Not sure I can pick a fav because they each are very striking....
ReplyDeleteY'all stay inside by that fire...stay warm!
hugs,
Shug
All of them are incredibly beautiful! Have a warm and safe day :) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI really like the little purple flowers at the end. It's a c-c-cold 6 degrees here, and our 3" snow is really pretty with the sunshine & blue skies.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, colorful flowers and superb captures as always, Betsy!! Such a beautiful way to begin my day!! Thank you for sharing! Hope your week is going well! Stay warm!!
ReplyDelete5 and 11 are my favorites...
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy, the orchids of many colors are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe only have two varieties of orchids, two white and two lavender.
Yesterday it was a 79° and sunny, today is cloudy and 69°. The weather is so fickled his year- up and down.
Sending you warm hugs n wishes :)
What a treat to see so many gorgeous orchids! My favourite is the big mauve variety, which to me is very unusual.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, Beautiful photos. You certainly are talented with the camera! Well, the valley got the snow this time...first real snow fall this winter. About 2.5 inches. The good news is that most of it will melt tomorrow and the rest will be gone by Friday! 50s for a few days after that... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! We HAVE to see that place one day!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see those beauties, I think I will give them a try. It is just that my house is so dark with the porch on all sides.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that snow Betsy, you know I am envious.
Absolutely beautiful, Betsy! They do give lovely color on this winter day.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Nellie
I like Orchids too. The blooms last so very long. Sometimes they will rebloom too. I always bought my Mother an Orchid as she loved them. Then if they didn't rebloom she would give them back to me. Haha
ReplyDeleteWe are having mild weather and rain--50s right now. MB
That kind of color is just perfect for a cold bleak day!!!

Oh my goodness it is so hard to choose. I think the fifth one is gorgeous or the last ones. Haha, I love them all.
ReplyDeleteI like them all so that is not a surprise is it? I do love the first one best and then the last - exceptional!
ReplyDeleteEach one has a beauty all its own,but the third one is definitely my favourite as well.
ReplyDeleteNice to see some flowers. They are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat was my favorite, too - - the one that looks like a ruffled iris/daylily and has the two pinks!!! They are all beautiful but how could God's creation not be? However, HE did make some things that look ugly to us - - - reptiles come to mind.
ReplyDeleteI could never pick a favorite of these....my least favorite is the 6th and 7th.
ReplyDeletewe should get our posts together - i shared orchids from the Botanical Garden in New Orleans just last week. that is too wild. gorgeous colors & blooms. ( :
ReplyDeletei should ask - what is your next post about? we should work together? ha. ha!! ( :
ReplyDeletebig big hugs.
They are gorgeous orchids Betsy, I think my favorite is the 5th one down but it sure is hard. When we reached the panhandle of Florida, ice pellets were hitting the windshield. That was a few days ago and we have driven further south now.
ReplyDeleteActually they are all georgous:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for cheering me up with those orchids:)
They are pretty! Amazing the blue one. I saw some blue orchids in the store tonight. Wow they catch the eye.
ReplyDeleteI like them all! Thank you for sharing the beautiful orchids. I have the Biltmore Estate on my "wish" list of places to some day see.
ReplyDeleteI love all the gorgeous orchids, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful orchids. My fav is #4, I love that color. It is nice to see some color after all the dark, gray days we have been having. This weather is so weird this winter, your temps are colder than ours right now. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful! I like the yellow one with "wings" the best (fourth photo from the bottom, as I recall).
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Stay warm!
Looking forward to my trip to Biltmore House !!
ReplyDeleteThat header pic is Looking Glass Falls, taken last Thursday. The pic was on the local TV station. I thought it was very pretty with all the ice around the falls.
It is getting very cold here again tonight freezing all the melted snow into ice skating rinks out there.
Looking forward to Friday's 50 degrees!!
Blessings
Marilyn
I do think I like the purple one best. Purple is my favorite color. There's an orchid show coming up here too. I wonder if we'll be able to see it.
ReplyDeleteWow - love all these colourful orchids!
ReplyDeleteI like all of them but perhaps the yellow is my favorite. Love your cardinal header!
ReplyDeleteHope you're staying warm. Our son in Atlanta fortunately worked from home and avoided the traffic jam, but he spent a lot of time pulling friends out of the ditches with his 4 wheel drive SUV!
How could I pick a fav....they all are so pretty. Nice to see as we freeze in Atlanta
ReplyDeleteThat 3rd from the top is beautiful and a favourite of mine. Saw very similar one in the Orchid garden in Singapore.
ReplyDeleteThat is a hard choice they are all so beautiful and I never cease to wonder how they are grown in off season even in a glass house. I like the 4th one up .
ReplyDeleteWow, those are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, thanks for stopping by. Our snow is a far cry from your orchids! The Ontario building code takes the snow load into account; it's an important factor in roof design, so we have very few problems.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Betsy, they are all just gorgeous! I can't choose a favorite. Okay, if I had to it would probably be the last purple orchids. I also think the 4th one is in the running, too, for favorite.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and cozy! We're getting some wintry stuff tomorrow and Saturday they say. Yuck. I'm so ready for spring!!
Lovely orchids and fabulous in colors! I go with the 4th one and what impressed me was the soft light color.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
I had to look at these again....still can't pick a favorite.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing all the gorgeous orchids in The Conservatory.....I loved them all. These are gorgeous!!!
