I love this little blue PANSY. She is different from most of the others --and for that reason, I think she is special.
We have 7 AZALEA bushes in our yard, most of which are a little different, one from the other. The blooms are different from one bush to the next. Today I will share with you three of our Azalea blossoms. This bloom is from our Dwarf Azalea --which was a gift several years ago from a friend.
PURPLE AZALEA
Another PINK AZALEA (different from the one above the purple one)
This little 'cutie' is a DIANTHUS (Pinks)... The same friend that gave me the Dwarf Azalea gave us these pretty little 'Pinks' several years ago... This little flower is just so pretty ---so I got George to get her picture at close range.
This IRISES are blooming in our yard this week. We have five different varieties/colors blooming now --with more to come. Today, I'll show you a couple of groups blooming in two different flowerbeds... This picture is in our upper side flowerbed (the one which had alot of Daffodils and Tulips not long ago)... Aren't they pretty???? (Soon there will be lots of lilies and daylilies blooming in this long bed.)
Finally, we have our FIRST ROSE BLOOM of the season. This is SONIA ---and she has 3 blooms on her already... (Things are so early this year ---blooming at least 2-3 weeks earlier than usual.) And here's the good news: My Gorgeous Groom brought one of Sonia's blooms INSIDE for me on Tuesday. Most of you know that he spoils me by bringing in a new rose bud/bloom almost everyday once the roses all start blooming. I love it-love it-love it... (If you are new to my blog, I need to tell you that we have about 55 different rose bushes/varieties in our yard. George grows hybrid tea and grandiflora roses---and they are INCREDIBLE.)
Have a fabulous weekend. We're going to visit our son and daughter-in-law-to-be (October wedding) ----AND we're visiting some old friends whom I haven't seen since the '60's.... Should be a terrific weekend. I'll see you on Monday.
Hugs,
Betsy
Have a great weekend, I'll see you Monday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Betsy. My two rose bushes are not ready to bloom, but they are much further along than usual for this time of year. I love that first rose and I must plant more Irises---they are just so lovely.
ReplyDeleteHave a great and safe weekend. :>)
Your flowers always make me smile !
ReplyDeleteSo many varieties, and colors, they really make your yard pop...
We had frost again last night, though none predicted, I see you had it again too, darn.

ReplyDeleteIt must be a joy just to get up in the morning and look out a window at all the beauty in your yard.
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful!!!!! The photos are all luscious, in color, texture and sunlight....but the one 'posey' I like best is the almost hidden deep purple pansy in the top photo just to the right of the fence post[?]

Wow, I'm stunned. Even your Azaleas seem better and have more petals, Almost doubled. What is that bit of red in with the pansies? The dianthus are very cute. You really could charge admittance to your garden...it seems you could be in the local garden society or something, yours would be the showiest one. so how much do I owe you????
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower show, Betsy.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good time!
You are way ahead of us in the color department. We have had a very wet and cold spring but stuff is starting to open up now. A few days of sun sure does the trick.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are going to have a wonderful weekend. Have fun. MB
I love that purple azalea with its ruffles no less. Oh that is stunning. Congratulations on your son's engagement. How very exciting for all. Should be a joyous family weekend. October in TN will be beautiful for a wedding. My parents were married Oct 15 and my daughter and SIL, Oct 26th. I just know your heart is ready to burst with pride and happiness. Safe travels. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous! I'm pleased to discover your blog and am following you. I love spring, and your photos are terrific!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers Betsy. I don't know how you find the time to garden and make all of the trips you and George make.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy looking at your flowers. They are the ones I get to see close-up and I thank you for that. Have a safe trip.
ReplyDeleteWell,I am an admirer of your beautiful garden. Here, we are noy starting agrdening yet. Coz we still have snow. late spring. Anyway, thanks for showing us your beautiful flowers:)

ReplyDeleteOh my Miss Betsy, you have bountiful beds of color there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and those pictures are spectacular!!!
God bless ya sweetie and have a marvelous weekend!!! :o)
I've about decided that I won't worry about flowers in my yard Betsy--will just come and visit you and George daily! Love everything about the iris from the extravagant colors to the fragrance. In another life, I was a serious rose grower from micro minis under grow lights to special cold hardy varieties ordered from Canada. Then I fell in love with dogs. Four big dogs and roses didn't co-exist so well--even with raised beds for the roses.
ReplyDeleteTakie piękne widoki będą w naszych ogrodach za co najmniej miesiąc. Miłego weekendu i pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteSuch views are in our gardens for at least a month. Have a nice weekend and best regards.
All of your flowers in your yard are just gorgeous! George must stay busy keeping them all up and all. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Angela

ReplyDeleteYour yard is way ahead of ours. Right now nothing is really blooming. I love the first rose from your garden. George is such a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI haven't even cut my roses back yet. I thought I might do it today. That was my thought until I saw the forecast. It is supposed to be very cold this weekend. Snow is in the forecast for the mountain, and could even move into our area. That is why I never cut back my roses this early in April.
You are so lucky having all those pretty flowers already! Wishing you and your sweetie a fun weekend!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms, pretty photos! Our Irises are lovely right now too. Love to have you stop by for a cup of Persian Tea~
