Autumn Decorations

Many of you have featured some gorgeous Fall Decorations in and around your homes. SO--thought I would share ours with you. I truly don't decorate much ---but, as I told someone recently, we don't use a Halloween-only theme ---but choose to decorate with more of a Harvest theme (since we leave our decorations up until after Thanksgiving).

I will show you the inside decorations today --and the outside ones at another time. Above is our front door decoration... WELCOME to our home!!!! Below are more.

Here is a picture of our coffee table, decorated with leaves, pumpkins and candles.

We may not have any pets now, but we do have babies. Meet Penny and Patrick, our twin pumpkins... They are so well-behaved --and do a great job of protecting the fireplace during the Autumn season.

Here is one of the cute little linen placemats we have on our dining room table.

This is my quilted centerpiece on the dining room table. It can be used as a wall-hanging also--but I prefer to use it on the table.

Meet Mr. Gobble.... We 'caught' him last year while we were spending Thanksgiving in Kingsport, TN with good friend, Reida. Of course we had to have him stuffed. (Tee Hee) Mr. Gobble is definitely dressed for dinner ---and loves to sit on the quilted centerpiece on our dining room table.

Hope you enjoyed seeing our 'inside' decorations. We are still enjoying some gorgeous Autumn weather. We do, however, need some RAIN... But --there is none in sight. I guess we'll have to pull the hoses out again this week.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Hugs,

We've had rain (and cool temperatures) for days now. We needed the rain, but it is time to turn off the faucet!

  10. Love your decorations Betsy!! We don't 'do' decorations at all. Barely anything for Christmas either just a little tree. I've never been a decorating person.

We have all the outdoors for our pretties!! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!!

  12. I LOVE that turkey with a necktie. He knows how to dress for dinner--unless he is dinner.

I'm working on inside decorations and have hung a fall wreath on the back door (where everyone enters the house).

    Happy decorating!

    Best,
    Bonnie

  13. They are so sweet and great colours. We don't go in for decorating our homes except for Christmas.

  14. I don't do decorations either, with Jack and Jill and the DC, nothing is sacred and it would just add to the mess. Those adorable dolls would end up being rags with fiberfill all over the place! LOL!

  25. Just precious!!!

I understand how there is a longggggg time, when we can use Autumnal Decorations.

-I started with just Autumn stuff.

    -Now I'm adding Halloween things.

-After Halloween, I'll put the Halloween decorations away.

-But still leave the original Autumn things out.

-And bring down some Thanksgiving things. :-)

Like everything else, we do our decorating, the way it fits for us! To each her/his own, is my motto, in everything. :-)

    Gentle hugs...

  35. Dang! I am going to have to clean off the dining room table this weekend and dig out my mom's cute pumpkins so I can take a picture! I really need to be more of a decorator, but I think I need to be more of a housekeeper first! UGH! Cross your fingers that I find some motivation to clean!

  36. I love the pumpkin/turkey/ autumn theme. Your house looks colorful and in tune with the time of year!
We had a nice rainfall yesterday and may get more the next couple of days. Maybe it will be contagious and move your way.

I love all your fallish decorations. I must confess that I don't do a lot of 'seasonal' decor except for Christmas.
    ☼ Sunny
P.S. I have been having problems with leaving comments for reasons unknown to me; I will have to check into it because I have been posting them but they don't seem to show up. I hope this one does!

  46. I love your fall header!! LOVE IT! I'm too lazy to decorate for fall but you're welcome to come and do it for me anytime....great taste you have.

  47. Your home looks so cozy and warm, and I love your decorations - especially Mr. Gobble! I just love the oranges, reds, and browns of fall!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Mr. Gobble took my heart! I am also in Tennessee..near Knoxville. :-)

  49. Love your pumpkin twins! You have such beautiful decorating ideas and have done a great job! I've got 2 small arrangements and that's it.

For over 20 yrs, by the time I always made sure our care centres and manors had lovely and fun decorations for each different season, in every public area, I had only very minimal desire to decorate our home! Now that there's no kids at home and no grands around to do it for, I'm simply decorated out! Oh, the fun memories! Someone else does that job now and I'm sooooooo happy!

We have Thanksgiving on Monday already - but ours isn't the 'big' family holiday that it is in the USA!

    Blessings,
    Karin

    I really like Mr. Gobble.

  51. Hi Betsy!
I love the pumpkin pair on the couch and your Mr.turkey!

I feel like Scrouge this year as I have not decorated for Autumn as yet! I've also noticed that less houses have decorated for Halloween so far this year...maybe it is still early for that? The weather has been so unusually warm that I think many here are not yet in the mood.

  52. Besides a yard filled with beautiful flowers, you have a home equally as nice. Loved all your decorations. You will not see anything like this from me anymore. I quit that when I lost my husband.

    ReplyDelete
  53. If I put those beautiful things on our dining room table, a couple of our cats would think we were making a bed for them!

  54. You have a lot of cute decorations! I am dreading the decorations this year.
