More of our 2009 Hybrid Tea Roses
This is the last group of this year's Hybrid Tea Roses in our yard. As I've mentioned several times in many posts, we have 48 different rose bushes in our yard this year --and out of the 48, there are 46 different varieties. In order to see more of our roses click HERE. They are scattered out in several different posts.
Today I will show you the last ten (plus one that I've showed before). Above is a new one for us this year, and it was the last rose to bloom. Its name is FREDERIC MISTRAL. Below are nine more.
GRANADA
ELLA
MON CHERI
WHITE LIGHTNIN'
TAHITIAN SUNSET
MIDAS TOUCH
SUNDANCE
PERFECT MOMENT
And my favorite of this group, DREAM COME TRUE
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
George took this picture yesterday of another of our favorites (which I have featured before). This is DOUBLE DELIGHT and I just HAD to share it again with you since it can just take your breath away.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And finally, I just couldn't end today's post without showing you a picture of Gorgeous Daddy Bluebird --which I took yesterday when he was making the rounds to and from the feeder. He and his woman are feeding their four newborns. I figure the little guys will fledge about July 25.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing all of our roses, and of course the Bluebird. I don't know which I love the most: the Roses or the birds.... Hmmmmmm.... hard decision!!!!
Hugs,
I enjoyed all the pictures very much Betsy. It must smell heavenly in your garden.
ReplyDeleteI would hate to know I had to choose a favorite rose photo!! If only if were scratch and sniff.... Exciting about the Bluebirds!
ReplyDeleteAll those gorgeous roses...and bluebirds, too! You are truly blessed, Betsy. Thanks for the tour of your lovely yard.
ReplyDeleteI like Darla's 'scratch and sniff' idea, wouldn't that be wonderful! All the lovely names of the roses just seen to describe them perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing the papa Blue bird, Betsy, he is so colorful...
Have a delightful day :D
Love that 'Tahitian Sunset' and 'Dream Come True'! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, Betsy, your yard must be a very sweet fragrance throughout right now. I can't even imagine trying to nurture all those roses. I surely hope you have been cutting them and putting them in vases all over your home. So very beautiful ... every one of them.
ReplyDeleteThe bluebird is one I covet. We just don't see them here but you have a whole family. Very exciting stuff in your garden!

I really like your roses, Betsy. Some are much nicer to me than others and some remind me of hollyhocks in their color.
ReplyDeleteYour visit will count and help me Make History.
Pick a Peck of Pixels
that would be the perfect way to spend a quiet afternoon. Sitting enjoying the scent and beauty of the roses while watching the birds. What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful rose garden you have. And of course, Daddy blue bird is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteGot to go with Tahitian Sunset though Double Delight is truely a delight.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Blues. After the second fledging, I have not had any more nesting here, at least where I can see. Enjoy.
All of your roses are splendid~~I just love the white~my favorite of the roses. But I would have to pick the birds as the bestest! ha!
ReplyDeleteP S-saw my daddy Blue Bird yesterday. They have nested elsewhere or maybe he is considering another nest in the box-I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
You make me wish I could grow more roses here!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy, I could never pick a favorite rose but my favorite name of this bunch just has to be "White Lightnin" that is just too funny...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird shot also....
Each bloom looks so perfect, and Sundance actually looks like a tulip. All very, very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment about your friend and will pray for him.
Have a Blessed Day!
Oh wow, such beautiful roses---and I didn't see an aphid. Haha!! Double Delight is a treasure and the scent is so delightful. I have no more roses--the deer love them more than I do I think.
ReplyDeletePapa Blue looks so earnest. MB
Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteAll such gorgeous colors - I can't pick a favorite though - I love them all! hehehe
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Betsy!
WHAT? On BLUE MONDAY you're showing a bluebird and NOT linking in?
ReplyDeleteWow! what a great collection of roses.Loved each and everyone of them:)Thanks for sharing your garden.
ReplyDeleteShantana
I really don't see how you keep all these roses straight! Such beauty doesn't need names....just eyes to see it! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! I wish I could commit to the care they need. I tried, but I just couldn't do it. Blackspot won out every time. We are going with old roses this trip around, maybe they will do better for us.--Randy
ReplyDeleteOh, Betsy! That Sundance rose is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHope you are well.
You're in rose heaven over there Betsy!! :-) I never knew so many beautiful roses existed until I met you and George!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! That daddy bluebird is still looks as bright as he did during the mating season...he hasn't 'let himself' go - but everyone has to molt sooner or later!
ReplyDeleteSo much beauty around the yard and in the air!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are beautiful. You are very talented.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful roses. I tried to pick a favorite but they're all so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHello Betsy,
ReplyDeleteAll of the roses are divine!!! I hope to establish a rose garden at some point. I've always wanted to make rose petal jelly and jams. :0)
Thanks for dropping by for a visit..I'm waiting on the call from my carpenter as to the status of relocating the kitchen..it's really not that big of a deal since it's in a corner of the great room and I'm reusing some of the cabinets and the appliances.
Have a great day,
Stephanie
Betsy,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I absolutely love the beautiful photos of your roses. I think roses are my favorite flowers. The photo of Daddy bluebird is so pretty, too. Please visit my blog and leave a comment.
my goodness, these are so beautiful I can almost smell them~
ReplyDeleteDream Come True is my favorite. Love the name. Daddy bluebird is a handsome fellow.
ReplyDeleteIf a house next door to you goes up for sale will you please let me know. I want to live next door and enjoy your beautiful yard.

Those Ella was the pretties, then changed to White Lightening, then Perfect Moment, then Dream Come True. Maybe this is why I don't have roses, I wouldn't be able to decide which one to buy. I have also decided we have too much wind for roses at New Market. Have to plant them where the house blocks some of the constant wind.

Betsy these are all soooo beautiful.I'll tak a bouquet with one of each.Ha,Ha.Oh,maybe I have had that bouquet via your blog.Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
Bluebirds and roses... both equally beautiful. How lucky you are to have them both. :c)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Betsy. Those roses are just incredible! I couldn't pick a favorite. I hope all the newborns do well.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the scratch and sniff idea--then maybe I could pick a favorite rose.
ReplyDeleteBetsy,
ReplyDeleteFrom the looks of it your yard must be the most gorgeous on the whole block..and you top it all off with the prettiest blues you could have in your backyard nest house!! :)
What beautiful roses!! You surely have a green thumb. I'll bet your garden is a "show garden". The little bluebird is sweet too. So colourful.
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful Betsy. I love your new one.
ReplyDeleteBetsy! A dream to have 48 rose bushes!! Perhaps my next house I will.Roses lavender and peonies..how about that!
ReplyDeleteYour variety is delicious...My tea roses have the best scent..I'm sure yours do too. Can't pick a favorite!
Beautiful roses, I want to see a photo of Sundance in full bloom. The pink in the first photo is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI just love all of your flowers.
Daddy Bluebird is so cute but he looks a little tired.
Judy

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous roses. I know it takes a lot of work to keep them looking that good.
ReplyDeleteHandsome daddy Blue Bird!
