The Weather outside is frightful. The Fire is so delightful. Since we've no place to go. LET IT SNOW... |
Dear Blog Friends, On December 10, we had a really pretty (only 2 inches and nothing on the roads much) little snow... It was just perfect ---and since we seldom EVER have snow in December when our Christmas Decorations are up, I just had to try out my new iPhone (which has an amazing camera). SO--I'll share some of the pictures with you from that fun day in Tennessee.
|
See that snow coming down.... That's SO rare for us, especially at Christmas time. |
|
The Deck ---all lit up for Christmas!!! |
|
It's now dark out there --and still snowing!!!!!! We are definitely comfy inside!! |
|
Another picture of the deck --as the snow continues |
|
Looking out front from the front porch!!!! |
|
Now--I'm outside playing in the snow... Our holly bushes are covered!!! |
|
Looking down the driveway... Love this camera!!!! Amazing how the camera made it look like it was still light outside even though it was pitch-black-dark!!!! WOW. |
|
Another picture of our outside Christmas decorations.... They are so pretty with the snow, don't you think? |
|
The snow is still piling up on the deck!!!! |
|
Good Morning ---It's early on December 11th and the sun is beginning to come out! |
|
I always love seeing the snow clinging to evergreens. |
|
The snow is over the morning of Dec. 11 --and the beautiful blue skies have returned.... |
I'll close with this one taken on the morning of Dec. 11th. I just enjoy seeing the snow on the Holly Bush, with that wreath above.
Hope you enjoyed our little snow.... As I tell my friend Neal (who teases me about loving snow so much), I don't want or need a BIG snow to make me happy.... The little ones which cling to everything are really my favorite kinds of snow....
George said: "Okay, since you've had 'your' snow---let's move on to SPRING"......
I said: "Well--I wouldn't mind a few more of these little snows before Spring gets here"....
Have a wonderful week, my Friends, and take time to enjoy this month, and let's all remember to tell the ones we love how much they mean to us.
Hugs,
A snowfall in December, you must be in heaven. That was an early Christmas gift for you :). Your house looks so pretty and festive. Love your tree and the fire looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful photos inside and out! Have a lovely Christmas season/day ~ FlowerLady
ReplyDeleteIt's doing that here this morning. Nothing on the roads though.
ReplyDeleteThe little snow seems to turn things to look prettier and cool. Like a small shower, the little snow holds charm over there and your new iPhone camera captured the environment of snow and Christmas décor to watch delightful! Love the images
ReplyDeleteHope you have great Christmas and New Year together with George .
Cheers
I'm always up for a nice little snow and enjoyed the shots of yours.
ReplyDeleteLet it snow! I love snow too!
ReplyDeleteA couple more little snows will be okay. Just make sure they are little -- otherwise you might find yourself admiring the snow while shoveling the driveway!
ReplyDeleteBetsy, Snow is pretty but that means that it has to be cold outside for it to accumulate! We like to see it once per winter...no more than 2"...and it needs to melt within 24 hours! Your house and decorations do look very nice in the snow but you can keep all that white stuff up on the plateau. I'm with George, where's Spring!? Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteYour inside and outside decorations are lovely!!! The snow is perfect...just the right amount!! Thanks for sharing with us!!! Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your enthuiasm for the snow Betsy. We get waaaaay too much of it to get excited anymore. I like to see it on Christmas, otherwise I would be just as happy to never have to shovel or clear it off the car ever again. :-) I guess that comes from living with it for 60 years now. Your photos are absolutely beautiful though and I enjoyed seeing them and reading the excitement in your words.
ReplyDeleteBlessings always,
Betsy
Hello Betsy,

My good wishes, and enjoy the Season.
All the best Jan
Your tree and hearth are gorgeous! And the outside of your house is so beautiful and inviting! I love the close-up of your house in the sun,it is just so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat was just a perfect amount of snow, at least in your area. I want lots mores in huge drifts.Which phone did you get? That camera is doing very well.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got your snow!
ReplyDeletelovely views....
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing
Hi Betsy! I little snow is always nice - especially at Christmas time! You have a lovely home and your decorations are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. Your house looks so inviting!
ReplyDeleteYou need to shovel that driveway a few times and then you'd change your tune about wanting snow. :) :)
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness I do think snow is pretty but I hate the way it brings out stupid drivers and all the mess it makes. The snow we had yesterday was pretty.... it's still dark here now so I don't know how the snow we got last night looks.
George is a hoot! Such pretty snow shots. All our snow has melted away - very sad!
ReplyDeleteI want that much snow here! I don't think we will get it. Love the shots with the red glow. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteOh Betsy these are beautiful pictures! My favorite is the one up on the banner....love all the colors and the snow and the front door...looks so friendly and welcoming, like "come on in and stay awhile, lets have fun!" Your new phone camera sure does a great job. Make more pictures for us okay!!?? LOL P.S.--i love the color green of your house, it's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt's beginning to look a lot like Christmas there at your house, Betsy! I also got a new phone that does real well in dark conditions. It's fun to play with it. I'm glad you got your December snow.
ReplyDeleteI can understand you liking a little snow to turn your place into a winter wonderland. But I'm with Geirge when it comes to comfortable weather.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow and decorations, Betsy! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThe best kind of weather. Merry Christmas.
