Anyhow----we have had some 'nice' snows here in the Glade in past years. My header picture that I've shown you since January 1st was taken in 2006... SO---since my blog theme this month is SNOW, instead of showing you beach pictures today (HA HA), I went back into my 2006 pictures and will show you some more of the pretty pictures we got back then when being outside enjoying some of the snow we got that year.
The picture above of me shows you just how much I LOVE snow....I don't need feet and feet of it... I'm happy with a few inches!!!! I love those 'wet' snows which cling to everything.
Here's one from the deck looking out back toward the golf course.
Even George is happy to see this snow (I THINK?????? ha)....
We walked around the golf course near our house. This is a neat picture of one of the lakes on golf course property.
Who is that 'tree-hugger'?????
Here's George on the golf course path near another one of the little lakes...
This is another picture looking out back from our deck.
Here's one more picture of one of the pretty lakes we passed while on our walk.
Finally, here's another picture of this crazy woman who is thrilled to be out on a snowy day!!!!! I just hope to see some snow like this THIS YEAR.... Right now, all we have is RAIN-RAIN-RAIN.... Gosh---never seen so much rain in a long time!!!!
Hope you enjoyed my 2006 pictures.... At least, they match my blog theme!!!!! ha
Have a super Monday!!! I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my 'middle' son, MARK. Mark turns 43 tomorrow, January 15. I am so proud of Mark and the young man he has turned out to be... This Mama is BEAMING with PRIDE!!!!! Happy Birthday, Sweetie!
Hugs,

Betsy! I'm the first commentor. I was just finishing a post in drafts and there was yours!! I ADORE these snow photos, they are so beautiful and remind me of children's story books. the view from your deck is awesome. You both look so happy frolicking in the white stuff.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mark!
(We're still in heatwave mode here!)
No fires near us. The whole of Oz is practically up in smoke. It's tragic.
Hugs
Rose
Beautiful snow photos! We've been getting rain, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Mark!
Happy Birthday to Mark.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing these pretty snow photos and your happy smile! We woke to rain this a.m. after a very warm weekend.
Wishing you and George a very good Monday.
Your home is lovely. The 2006 snow photos are beautiful. I too love your views!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, strange weather right now. We're supposed to reach a high of 66 in my part of Pennsylvania today.
Wishing You More Gorgeous Snow Days, :)
Val
Fun snow photos, Betsy! You and George were having fun out there in the snow. Happy Birthday to Mark!
ReplyDeleteawww, you both look so cute. thanks for the snowy shots. i miss snow. it sort of does not feel winter without it. wonder how we keep missing it. i wonder if we will get any ever? the weather is so confused. have a great week. ( :
ReplyDeleteI can see you love snow. The pics are very pretty. We can't send any snow but can you send some rain. At last a southerly change has brought some cooler weather. Its 75°C at 10.00pm.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting more snow today and tomorrow here in Saskatchewan! Soon I will need an igloo to live in! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son!
xo Catherine
Beautiful snow pictures, Betsy! Snow really does transform the landscape in such magical ways. That being said, I must admit that I'm perfectly happy without it, haha! You may get your wish next week---I hear it's supposed to turn very, very cold.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mark! (I just celebrated a birthday, too!)
It has been a warm winter so far, huh? It got up to a record 74 degrees here on Saturday! Your snow photos are lovely. I think I remember the 2006 snow. There was also a similar one in early 2011. We've already decided that we are going to venture out for a photo shoot if we get a nice snow this season!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mark!
ReplyDeleteIts looking like we will be working in Cleveland in February so I'm sure I will have plenty of snow pics to share!
Those are some beautiful pictures of snow. I can't send you any of ours as it all melted over the weekend. This morning it is 8 degrees outside. I'll take snow over bitter cold any day. You and George look so cute in the pictures. Happy 42nd birthday to your son Mark!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if that was one of those truly beautiful snows, and you took full advantage of it. Beautiful photos, girl.
ReplyDeletei hope Mark has a wonderful birthday tomorrow. and yes i did enjoy all this snow... it is absolutely stunning and i can't imagine looking out the window and seeing it like this. hope you get some snow out of the cold front that is on the way
ReplyDeleteLove the snow pictures...I'll be more excited about snow once Bill retires and we can enjoy it without having to worry about either of us needing to get out in it! We live on the opposite side of Knoxville from his college and we both know that colleges are not as quick to delay or cancel classes as others.
ReplyDeleteSnow dripping off sagging tree limbs. I wish we had some here instead of all this rain. Great shots. Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful snow shots...
ReplyDeleteThey look like a winterwonderland for sure. Brings back many wonderful memories when I was a kid. I loved to play in the snow, but was warned over and over not to make snow angels becuase that would make me sick?? I can remember years later joyfully showing my kids how to make snow angels.
ReplyDeleteI would have been happy to give you all the snow we had a few weeks ago. It is pretty for one day and then it is just a lot of extra work and danger. We've been having spring-like temps, too, but now it is cold again and lots of rain.
ReplyDeleteYour snows are so wet and amazing. I'd send the cold from here for sure - this morning it was -15 but they are saying (we'll see if it happens) another inch possible tonight. That would be fine by me although it is very dry snow right now. Sigh....
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, Betsy! Looks pretty but cold. All of our snow has melted again now, but I'm sure there will be more on the way before too long.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are gorgeous!! I love snow about as much as you, but we hardly ever get any :(
ReplyDeleteIf we do, I become a kid again and just HAVE to get out and play in it!
Wow lots of snow, I will take my 80 degree temps any day, lol have a great day and stay warm, hugs
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mark. He is at the perfect age.
ReplyDeleteI feel for you as I love snow like you do. Hope you finally get the real thing to bring out yours and George's inner child.
Beautiful archive shots.
it sure is pretty. we had a dusting of snow pellets here in texas this morning. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful snow photos Betsy, and happy birthday to Mark.
ReplyDeleteLovely archive photos Betsy! The snow scenes are enhanced by you and George enjoying a walk around your area.
ReplyDeleteOur weather has changed again and we have had our first snowfalls and it's not really what we were hoping for!Happy birthday to your son for tomorrow.
Beautiful, snowy shots, Betsy!! Reminds me of the years I lived in Montana!! Hope your week is off to a great start! And wishing Mark and very Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your son!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love those snowy shots - it's horrible to have only rain during the winter.
Wow! These snow photos are very beautiful. I love all of them. What a big, lovely snow. You've done an excellent job photographing them. Awesome posting!
ReplyDeleteAll we are getting is a lot of rain also, everything is so muddy around here. This summer like weather is going to come to an abrupt end soon I think then maybe we'll get some snow.
ReplyDeleteBlessing
Marilyn
Those were fine snowy days. We dont have these fast few weeks too, but minus 6 degrees.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, happy birthday to your son Mark:)
Hi Betsy, Your snow pictures are gorgeous! I like the way the snow piles up on the tree branches. The temp got down to 22f here this morning, but no snow.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mark!
These are lovely! We haven't had any substantial snow either and I'm really beginning to wonder but hopeful.
ReplyDeleteWe too had 70 degree weather over the weekend.
A very Happy Birthday to Mark!
The wet clingy type snow is so much prettier than what we go here. When the temperatures drop to −20C the snow blows around real easy and we have our share of wind. With all that said,I would gladly share some snow with you if I could.
ReplyDeleteI was just wishing it would snow and by golly it just started to come down. Soft and gentle---no blizzard. We haven't had too much snow since 2009 and probably not too much this year either. Your pictures are very pretty. MB
ReplyDeleteWell you know that I don't like snow but I do like seeing it in pictures. It sure is pretty. I would send you some but we had 60 degree weather over the weekend and ours is all gone.
ReplyDeleteHappy to your son, Mark! We got a little bit of snow a couple of days ago. It's very cold right now! We could use some of your rain, tho. But not FREEZING rain!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I'm with you bring on the snow.. I'm tired of the rain and out of season 70% temps..
ReplyDeleteYou certainly look happy in the snow. : )
ReplyDeleteYour 2006 snow is beautiful. I would send you some it I could but we aren't doing much better here. There is just a dusting of snow but we can still see the grass . We haven't had a good snow in a couple of years either. Maybe we'll both get some before the winter's over.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mark! We're almost the same age, I'm 43 and will be 44 in April...yuck! lol
ReplyDeleteI love your snow pics! It's so pretty! We've been in flip flops, t-shirts and shorts here in Orlando. I would like some cold weather! I've got boots, sweaters and coats just waiting to be worn! :)
Hope you have a great week!
Hugs,
Marie
These are all perfectly gorgeous snow pictures!! Fun, silly, and beauty!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous and we love our snow here as well. Just not the shoverling part...:)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Mark! He shares his bday with my grandmother :-)
ReplyDeleteI am not a big snow fan, BUT my boys have been sooooo disappointed we haven't had any snow yet. So I'm hoping we get some, for their sake!
Those photos of the pond on the golf course are magnificently beautiful Betsy. You both look filled with delight with the snowfall...I'm a sandy beach gal myself. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy kids are very disheartened because they want some winter weather too! They really want some snow.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mark!!
Wow, Betsy, the Glade is a very beautiful place to live when it snows...well...I have to admit it's beautiful anytime of the year. You and George are blessed to live there. About 70 or so miles south of you we are also being blessed with abundance of rain and relatively warm temps. (It's 42 here right now - with a steady soaking rain continuing to fall.)
ReplyDeleteLet's trade, you can have some of our snow and cold and we'll take at least 20 degrees warmer. It's been down to zero here and we are in a deep freeze.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy, Enjoyed seeing all that snow on your blog today. Did not enjoy seeing all the ice in the trees this AM at Fairfield Glade. Hope it warms up. May be a rollercoaster ride in weather soon. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGreat and interesting post. I like it.
ReplyDeleteI also invite you to my blog. ;)
Yours. Have a nice day.

Snow is beautiful but I am Ok that we have not had any recently...but nice to look at it
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mark
Did I read that right, Betsy? 70 degrees??? Mama Mia.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures from the past!!
ReplyDeletewe had a sleet/snow mixture today. It was pretty falling but I hope it is gone soon......
Happy Birthday to Mark
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful snow. We don't get any snow over here
Oh what a delightful snowy blast from your past.. and you could look happier playing peek-a-boo an hugging trees.
ReplyDeleteA Joyful Reflection if I ever saw one.
Great post, Betsy.
Hugs
Okay - beautiful Betsy - are you getting some tonight too?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow shots, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Betsy! First time seeing your yards filled with snow... the golf area is very pretty and the lake was fascinating. Liked more the hugging shot :)
