2011 Daylilies in our Yard--Part I

As I told you in my Lily post recently,  we missed alot of our blooming Lilies and Day Lilies this year due to our 3 week trip.  However,  we did/do have 14 different varieties blooming --so today,  I will share with you 7 of them.  Above is BAMA BOUND  (for all of your Alabama fans).  Below are more.

CUSTARD CANDY

BRIGHT SUNSET

ELEGANT CANDY

FOOLED ME  (a new Day Lily in our yard this year)

JANICE BROWN

ROSIE MEYER

What is your favorite one????   I love them all--but my favorite out of this group is Janice Brown...

Have a great day.
Hugs,

  2. I love the Bright Sunset as one look, it made me smile for its rich orange's warmth. Overall, they are all lovely and pretty in their shapes and color tones. Your home has so much happiness with blooming flowers and pecking birds!

  5. Good Morning! I'm BAAACK!!!!

Sorry I've been so absent but gosh, it's been a busy couple of weeks but things are settling down-

I love day lilies and all the beautiful varieties; I only wish they stayed longer. I have realized that if you cut them back after they bloom, you can get another bloom out of them before season's end though.

My favorite is Janice Brown as well, then the Custard Candy; just he neame conjurs up lovely thoughts, doesn't it?
Missed you my friend; hugs to you!

I have 4 new types this year and will have to do a post on them.

I'm glad you have gotten to see some of yours bloom although that trip sounds certainly worth missing some.
