A Fabulous View

Look at that picture above..... It's Serenity Falls --taken from inside our little cabin where we stayed this past week. (Sorry that it is crooked. I was standing at an angle.)

Can you imagine sitting inside of the cabin in a comfy chair --just listening to and looking at that beautiful waterfall??? For waterfall lovers like George and me, this cabin is PERFECT for us!!!!

Here's a picture of our cabin from the side of the waterfall. You can see the big picture window (shown in the first picture) from the outside.

George took this picture of me ---standing on the deck, taking pictures of Serenity Falls.

Here's the cabin from the front. You can see Serenty Falls in the distance. Isn't this a cute little cabin????

George stands outside near the swing and picnic table. Serenity Falls is behind him to the right, and the cabin is on the left.

The cabin is small (2 bedrooms and 1 bath)---but it will sleep six (if someone sleeps on the sleeper sofa). The living/dining/kitchen are all in the same room. This is looking toward the kitchen.

I love the way the little cabin is decorated.. There were several quilts for use in the cabin. This is the middle bedroom--where George and I slept.

This is the 2nd bedroom. Both beds are queen-sized.

This is the living room area ---looking toward the back porch. A gas fireplace and a flat-screened TV is located to the right of this photo.

I took this picture on the back porch. This is a fabulous place to sit and read or SLEEP---or just listen to the sound of the waterfall.

Here's one last picture of Serenity Falls.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the pictures from our little cabin in Cosby, TN.

Have a great Saturday!
Hugs,

As I opened your blog I was wondering if I could/should ask you your opinion of Cosby. As I do...I've been trawling for houses in TN, and one, in Cosby, really grabbed me. I guess you'd recommend Cosby then?

IZZAT CABIN FOR SALE? I could live THERE! :-)

I can see why you love it there!

  41. Betsy, how could you dare to leave? Oh, I know. To get ready for the next exploration, eh?

I am just noticing by your blog that I have lived away from "back east" for so many years that the kind of flora and fauna that you picture seems a little odd to me anymore. Strange, isn't it?

  42. Heaven Betsy.

  50. What an AWESOME little cabin..thanks for posting these pix.
I wondered though..what do they do in the spring run off when the water is high? Don't the owners worry about the river washing the cabin away?????

I would love to know the address and rates if you get the chance sometime to send me the info..maybe on one of our trips down to Florida we will take a detour and go there!!!!

  51. What a charming little cabin, and the view is just breath-taking. Out my cabin window, the falls is back further but in spring when the water rushes, it's wonderful to sit with the window open or on the deck in the sunshine and just listen to the water. You truly had a perfect spot to stay. Beautiful.

  52. Betsy, these photos look like photos seen in a magazine...they're wonderful!!! I love that waterfall!!!
If you use Picasa to edit your photos you can straighten them, it is very simple. It's listed under basic fixes.

  56. Oh my gosh, Betsy....who wouldn't love to OWN that cabin with that view and the sound of the water..oh yes, I could live with that!

I made a joke to Thomas a while back that we should create a water garden and put in a waterfall...hahaha

Well...one can dream, right! We looked a few properties that had really done that and they were beautiful....the real thing would be better!

Glad y'all had a great little getaway.

Oh, and you and me both want the "Pinky Bird". It's just precious!

    Have a great day,
    Stephanie ♥
