No Place Like HOME
As you know, we have had two trips this past week (one to Dillard, Georgia and one to Jacksonville, FL). We got home yesterday to find some absolutely gorgeous Fall colors RIGHT here in Fairfield Glade. So I wanted to share them with you today. These beauties don't need any explanation ---so here they are!!!!
As you can see, we have it all here in Tennessee (beautiful blue skies, pretty Autumn colors, beautiful lakes)----and our own little home (where I can sleep much better in my own bed).
Hugs,
I bet Tennessee is beautiful this time of year. I was looking on some photo sites last week and it seems Tennessee is the place you want to be to see beautiful fall colors.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home and what a pleasant one it was to see all those beautiful colours and clear skies. Lovely shots. Sleep well.

Betsy: Beautiful photos of the lake and the tree display. You are a little further along with color then here.
ReplyDeleteYou said it! I think the best thing about coming home is sleeping in your own bed. Our colors out here have been super beautiful too. thanks for taking us on your travels too.

Wonderful fall color. I'm so disappointed this year we have no color. Very unusual and very depressing. I'm enjoying your lovely scenes.

So glad to hear your back home, safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteIt's gotten cold these past few nights, and tonight a freeze warning out, especially for you, further on the Plateau.
The trees are giving us a show already, I think it will be a good year for the fall colors.
Light the fire, and a nice pot of tea !
Hugs,
Jo
Thanks for your nice comment today. Your photos show a beautiful area of our country. I love the blue of the water along with the fall colors on the shore.
ReplyDeleteGlad the two of you are safe and sound at home now. Gorgeous colors, can't beat Tennessee for these colors...we're not in colors yet but should be soon...
ReplyDeleteI agree it is always good to be back home. What a beautiful view to come home to.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous area you live in. that lake and the tree color is just wonderful. I know you must be thrilled to be back home and just enjoy it for awhile. I love to travel, but always get excited about heading home.
ReplyDeleteIt's true there is no place like home! Did you eat at the Dillard House?
ReplyDeleteI love your fall pictures. Wish I could head north!
Glad you 2 are home safe. Great pics as usual. No place can match Tn. I love it.
ReplyDeleteTrue to the words, there is no place like home. And there is no bed like your own bed.
ReplyDeleteHow was your trip Betsy? How was the memorial ceremony, I hope you were okay.
Looking at theses pictures makes me feel like taking a vacation to somewhere... like TN! Hope you have enough room ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, clear blue skies and gorgeous colors. What else would anyone need?
ReplyDeleteMy internet problem is with the IP addresses, we have one for each computer. For some reason only one of them will work at a time so we both can't be online at the same time (we are internet junkies). We're getting a new modem tomorrow which should solve the problem, yeah!
Hugs,
Judy
Love those fall colors but I didn't see any red hats
ReplyDeleteWOW! You've got a lot more color there than we have locally. Gorgeous photos, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteOh Betsy
ReplyDeleteThose photos make me miss Knoxville..Just beautiful!
Ah...there's no place like home! The fall foliage is beautiful there, Betsy. I love the blue of the skies and the water too!
ReplyDeleteWhat AMAZING views ... so colorful and gorgeous! You ARE surrounded by beauty where you live. I've finally opened my 'reader' this morning and am trying to catch up a bit after falling behind. Just HAD to stop and comment on THIS post! Thanks for your visits to Small Reflections. Methinks we must be on the same wave-length given the names of our blogs. I'm glad you enjoy my mosaics ;-)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
