Visit with Blog Friends

Since George and I started Blogger in January, we have been fortunate to have met several blogger friends in person. Yesterday, another wonderful couple came through Crossville (on their way home from a Nashville vacation). We met them at Cracker Barrel and enjoyed a long, leisurely lunch while getting to know more about each other. It's amazing when one personally meets a blogger whom they have been blogging with for awhile, they feel as if they have known each other all of their lives. That's the way George and I felt when meeting Tom and his wife.

You may know Fishing Guy Tom (check out his blog HERE), but today I want to introduce you to his gorgeous wife. I know her name, but since Tom doesn't use it on his blog, I'm going to call her Nana (which is what her grands call her). Anyone can read Tom's blog and will know how much he adores his wife. She is not a blogger ---like we are, but she does have her own 'blog-of-sorts' since she works with college kids --who think of her as their Mama. She recently retired from fulltime work---but she will continue to work with her students on a part-time basis (which I'll bet will be more fulltime than part-time since she LOVES her job and is really good at it).

Tom (Papa to his grands) and Nana have been married for over 40 years and have four children and eight grandchildren. They live in Kent, Ohio. We had a wonderful visit---and we hope that they will come back to Tennessee OFTEN!!!!! Above is a picture of the four of us --taken by one of Cracker Barrel's employees, who wanted to know all about us!!! Below are a couple more...

Our friends at the table at Cracker Barrel

I enjoyed meeting these two wonderful people. I hope that our paths will cross again soon.

If you ever have a chance to meet a blogger friend in person, DO it!!!! It's just so special!!!! Blogging has given me the opportunity to meet so many nice people.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We have four precious baby Bluebirds in our nestbox now. These cuties are about 2 days old--and SO tiny. Sorry for the not-so-good picture. I tried to crop it so that you could see them larger--but it was too blurry. This is the 2nd brood for this year, and we hope they'll go for three --like they did last year!!!!! OH--how I love my Bluebirds!!!! And I think they like it here too!!!

George and I are headed to North Carolina (near Asheville) to visit his son and grandson (along with his girlfriend and her son), who are vacationing in the Carolina mountains from Florida for a few days. We'll be out-of-pocket this weekend---but will blog again on Monday morning.

Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
