This Year's TULIPS in our Yard
Since I featured all of this year's Daffodils in a previous post, I decided that, although I have featured some of these before, I will show you ALL of our nine different Tulips in our yard this year. You can choose your fav's. Above is a beauty called Tequila Sunrise!!!!! Below are more. Be sure and click to enlarge them.
This is also Tequila Sunrise Tulip--after it opens up... It starts yellow---and then turns redder, as it opens... Amazing, huh????
This beauty is named Bright Pink Lady. This is a gorgeous tulip I think.
I love the colors in this Tulip. Its name is Rembrandt.
This little Tulip is named Coors.
Here is Peppermint Stick Tulip---one of our unique ones!
These are called Apricot Beauty Tulips. Neat, huh?
Here is picture of our Mardi Gras Tulip.
This is also Mardi Gras Tulip. Whether it is open or closed, it is a beauty for sure!
These beauties are called Orange Emperor Tulips.
One of my favorites and our first Tulip to bloom this year was Red Dynasty.
Now---which ones are your favorites?????
Happy Sunday!!!
Hugs,
If you want to see all of our Daffodils again, go to my LABEL list on my sidebar and click on Daffodils.
I like them all, but my favorite would be Rembrandt. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. How wonderful to have such beauty for your own(and our) pleasure. You make me realize just how unimaginative my tulip bed is. Next year I'll do better.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
They are all just beautiful Betsy!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I try to plant tulips someone (a deer?) digs them up or eats the leaves. I have given up. I guess I will just have to enjoy yours! They are all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAll are very beautiful!! Can't pick a favorite. I like all of them! Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between the Tequilla Sunrise and the Emperor Orange. Both are wondreful! Such beauty!
ReplyDeleteI especially love Red Dynasty. Reminds me of the bright reds grandma grew in her garden. They are all just lovely. HOpe you and George have a great Sunday.
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to Bright Pink Lady, which really reminds me of a rose. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous flowers.they are jut tooooooooo beautiful for words.
ReplyDeletecheers!
Very beautiful tulips! I have to agree with Dorothy, I can't choose a favorite :). All are so wonderful. Have a great week, Betsy.
ReplyDeleteHugs from Indonesia.
I think I like them all. They are just so beautiful. Sometimes the color and combinations are amazing. Did you see my post of the tulip fields in the valley? MB
ReplyDeleteI so love tulips! Yours are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your Red Dynasty!
Blessings,
Rebecca
WOW! Each one is sooo pretty.Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
They are all so pretty with such fun names...I'll take a coors and a tequilla sunrise please.
ReplyDeleteAlways hard to pick a favourite. They are all beautiful! Hopefully my own tulips will bloom ... eventually. They ARE out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteThe Rembrandt is my favorite!! I just love those colors! Your flowers are looking gorgeous! It certainly brightens my day. It's raining like crazy at the cabin right now and we are headed home shortly.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy,
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful! I am just happy to see any. I move some from our first home to the 2nd one in 96 they did not bloom again till 2005. So I left them there as I did not want to wait another 9 years. I found the ones I have now for .05c after there bloom was up last year.
So I now have red yellow and white.
The Red Dynasty, hands down.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that Peppermint Stick!!
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful but I think the Bright Pink Lady is my favorite. How do you remember the names of them? I plant them and by the next year, I can't remember their name. Maybe age has something to do with it....LOL
ReplyDeleteThe Peppermint Stick ! They are all just beautiful Betsy!
ReplyDeleteCarol
Hi Betsy,
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a large variety of tulips and some wonderful wow colors!! I love them all...they really add a lot to lift one's spirits and to make your house look so inviting!!
Very Nice!! :)
Betsy, those are beautiful! In answer to your question on my blog...it wasn't painful this time because I've been back a lot of times. When I first went back in was kind of painful but I also had a lot of good memories.
ReplyDeleteYou have so many great varieties. I guess I like the Mardi Gras tulip best, just because it's so unusual.
ReplyDeleteWe finally have a few daffodils blooming. No tulips yet.
Wow, these tulips are exquisite! And the variety! Amazing! Flowers are almost like children, as we lovingly tend to each one! I would be hard pressed to pick one I love best! Betsy, you need to go into the notes and cards business! These photos are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh Betsy those are just stunning!!
ReplyDeleteBetsy,
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful in different ways! Wow...what a garden of tulips you have! That's Joy's favorite flower! She always asks for those at dance recital time! :) I guess I would have to say the ones with red are my favorites...the Red Dynasty and the Rembrandt. Red is just hard to beat in my book, especially when it comes to a tulip!
Hope you're having a restful Sunday! :)
Tammy
Beautiful! You sure have a nice variety.
ReplyDeleteHow do you keep the deer from eating all those beautiful tulips? I think I like the Pink Lady the best, such a pretty shade of pink, and I'm not even a "pink" person.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful collection of tulips! I like the two-toned ones. Your yard must be beautiful right now.
ReplyDelete....long sigh....so beautiful...thanks for sharing and for being such a kind person...
ReplyDeleteLove'em all, but Orange Emperor would be my favorite. Nice photos, Ms. Betsy.
ReplyDeleteFavorite? Impossible! They are all SO beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think my pick would be the bright pink lady. They are all so very beautiful!!!! Have a great night...m..
ReplyDeleteBetsy these tulips are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them with us. I don't grow them but I enjoyed looking at them.
ReplyDeleteTHey are all awesome! I think I like the Apricot Beauty the best. Then red dynasty, then the orange one, then....
ReplyDeleteHave a happy sunday!
They are all beautiful. I really like tulips but cannot grow them here.
ReplyDeleteThis spring tulip season is a symbolic reminder too of the financial crash: didn't the Dutch start the modern day version of the speculative bubble with tulip market. (By the way, I'll pay any price for the Red Dynastys! -- can I by on credit?)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to pick favorites with all of those beauties. Everyone I'd come to I'd think "Oh, I love that one" then I'd scroll to the next one and keep ooohing and awwwing. But I did like the Mardi Gras one.
ReplyDeleteVery, Very, Pretty!
♥
Joy
Betsy: What a wonderful display of tulips. Yours are wonderful and it is great you have their names.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your pictures of your tulips, Betsy. I think I love the Rembrandt the best.
ReplyDeleteHello Betsy,

Guess what!?...we are headed for them dar mountains this Thursday!!!! woohoo ..seems like FOREVER trying to get there..this has to have been the longest winter in history for me..LOL Of course, it's because every time we'd schedule that moving truck it would start sleeting or snowing!

Hugs, Stephanie
