Welcome to JOYFUL REFLECTIONS. Also welcome to MARCH!!!! My header picture this month is a photo I took of the pretty Crocus blooms in our yard... The Crocuses and Daffodils are the first signs of spring here in Tennessee. I am definitely ready for SPRING...

Wonder if it will cook my Dinner?????

See that little gadget???? It's my new MAGIC MOUSE.... This multi-touch cordless mouse is manufactured and sold by Apple, and was sold for the first time on October 20, 2009. The Magic Mouse is the first consumer mouse to have multi-touch capabilities.

Taking after the iPhone, the iPod Touch and the iPad, the Magic Mouse allows the use of gestures such as swiping and scrolling across the top surface of the mouse to interact with my desktop computer.

Picture of the top and bottom of the Magic Mouse

Click anywhere, scroll in any direction, and swipe through images on its smooth, seamless top shell. The mouse requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 (or higher) and Bluetooth.

I have been using a mouse that scrolls (with the help of a little button on the mouse). This is even better because, with my finger, I can up and down or across on a page; or with two fingers, I can go backwards or forwards to the previous pages I have used... It's amazing --and certainly makes working on the computer MUCH easier.... I LOVE it.... Now--if I can just teach it to cook dinner and clean my house.. Ya think???? ha

+++++++++++++
Blogger Tip #5: When you show several photos and there is an explanation between the pictures, put some space between --so that we will know whether your explanation goes with the picture above or below... I put my explanations BELOW my pictures --so that people can look at the picture while they read the explanation. But--I'm a 'lefty' --so you may do yours the other way... With some space there, I (we) will know which picture you are talking about.... Thanks!!!

Have a nice Thursday... After a couple of cooler days --when we were 'supposed' to get TONS of rain (we only got 1/2 inch total during that time --even though there was a flood watch out), it has gotten miserably hot and humid again... Seems like this summer is going to continue to be this way ALL Summer.... (Gripe Gripe!!!! ha)

Hugs,

Be sure to let us know if it cooks!

This seems to be one of the hottest summers I can remember. I am finally beginning to see more hummers though.

Have a great day.

Love the new mouse, very cool technology. If you can get it to cook it will be perfect.

We haven't had any rain in awhile but the temps have cooled off a bit so it's actually nice right now.

I may have to visit the Apple store or the Apple kiosk in Best Buy this weekend. Is it worth the money?? Stay cool,

Pretty nifty gadget, that's for sure. Not heard of it but then I'm not really in the loop for a lot of the up to date gadgets lately.
I hope you enjoy it!

We were just saying last night that we have never had the AC running continuously for this long. Ever.
Even with it on it's hot inside, the AC just can't keep up it seems. I'm just hoping we don't get a power failure of the unit breaks down!!

You are high tech. I like my mouse. On lap tops, i still like my mouse. So far, I haven't trained it to cook my dinner either. LOL

Hello Betsy, mouse is bea-eu-ti-pul.

I still haven't found a thing that I like as well as just a plain mouse. Maybe it's just because I'm used to it but I've tried a lot of things and always go back to the mouse.

Now quit lecturing me about my blog.....just kidding. :) Seems like I always post in a hurry and don't have time to do a lot of writing (which is NOT one of my strong points anyway). I do enjoy pictures a lot more if I know where they were taken. That's the reason I got the GPS device.

Seems all I do these days is complain about the heat and dryness. Oops! It seems I just did it again!

Oh well, hopefully we'll get some rain soon. Hope you get more.

I don't have a MAC (thought of buying one but haven't yet taken the plunge). I have a wireless mouse (uses a battery) that I use on the arm of my chair. It has a button that allows me to scroll quickly up and down a page. It moves easily right and left, as well, by small movements of the hand.

That's the one I have too ~ warning ~ it seems to eat batteries very quickly! Not very environmentally friendly ~ so I bought rechargeable batteries for it. We'll see how that goes.

Have a good day Betsy!

That's intersting....Always a new learning curve...but isn't it fun....Especially when you are retired and need new things to keep your mind working.

I just updated my embroidery sewing machine so I have all kinds of new things to learn, do and experiment with.

Have a great day!

Always something new in the world of technology. I suppose we must move forward although I like hanging back a bit from time to time. MB

You would love our weather at the moment. It is sunny and cool. (cold to me). I use a magic mouse with my lap top they are handy gadgets but doesn't cook. I've had to change the batteries a few times though.

Pretty cool mouse! We needed rain but now I'm tired of it. Some people will never be happy! When it gets cold I'll be wanting hot!
Haven't done much blogging, I have been learning how Facebook works and trying that out.

My Apple mac has a touch pad that does the same thing but I only use the click. When I scroll I end up losing the page!Haven't figured out how to add text under a photo but I appreciate your tip. Here the hubby likes to cook and we love him for it!

A wonderful little piece of technology, I'm on the "windows" and so no such miracle for me, I'm afraid.
We've had rain, and now this awful HOT and HUMID system has blanketed the area, you can hardly breath.
Let us know if your mouse cooks, or even does dishes, I'll be springing for one !
Hope you have a wonderful day up there on the Plateau...

Don't get me started on computers!! Your mouse looks great, but we don't have a Mac. This is your best tip so far. I have tried to put my picture comments on the bottom, but when you get to the last comment, you can't make a space between that and the body of your main text. I have also noticed something else. If you upload your pictures first, before you write anything, then you can't make spaces to divide your main text, like putting a bible verse at the end. And I've noticed when I write first, then the pictures won't space out for me to comment on each one. Since you are giving tips, I trhought I'd throw all that in as well.

Betsy: Watch out, a mouse that smart may find its own home. Did you see they now have a card for your camera that is wireless?

Interesting...I think that I would have to see the Magic Mouse in action to understand what it does that makes it different.

Now that's a nifty little gadget!
Good tips today. I so wish everyone would put the description below the photo. It gets confusing otherwise - for me anyone. :)

I love your new header Betsy. Is that a view from your house?
You're lucky to have gotten a 1/2 inch of rain,we didn't get even that through all those cloudy supposedly rainy days. But it still doesn't seem that long ago that we were all complaining about too much rain,so I guess we are hard to please !

Blessings to you

Very cool! Informative post with great humor as a bonus! I know it's traditional for cutlines to go below photos in print media, but I've ended up putting captions first to introduce what readers will be seeing. I enlarge all my pics to the point that, if I put captions below, they don't see what they're seeing until AFTER they've seen it. I think both approaches can work well (mainly depending on the size of the images).

Hope you have an enjoyable weekend. And a nice, steady, cooling rain!

If it cooks let me know! Its amazing what technology is coming up with constantly! I have to say I am enjoying your "tips" and if they relate to me I am trying to make changes, keep up the good work with them. You could write a guide book!

If it'll cook dinner, I want one! Seriously, looks like a very cool tool.

I am griping with you...so hot and humid it is not even funny around here. We have gotten more rain than you I think.

It looks like rain again and we are supposed to go with Sarah and Jeremy to look at a couple houses...
