On the Calabash Waterfront

While on vacation in Ocean Isle, NC, we enjoyed eating the fresh seafood at some of the local restaurants. One of these is named Dockside Seafood House. Dockside is located on the Calabash Waterfront. Not only did we enjoy their seafood, but we also enjoyed walking around the area, including the docks where the shrimp boats and other fishing boats are located. Here are some pictures of this area.

Dockside Seafood House-- from a distance

Here's one of the shrimp boats along the dock. Can you just imagine how FRESH that seafood at Dockside Seafood House was??????? We had a platter which contained shrimp, oysters, scallops, crab-cake, and white fish. YUM!!!

While we were walking on the dock, a deep-sea fishing boat came ashore ... There were a group of young men (about college age) who had been fishing. And--look at their catch!!!! Wooooooo... They caught 22 of these large fish. (Tom, what kind of fish are these???)

This is one of those 22 fish. I captured the picture as one of the young men held his fish up... Big fish, aren't they?????? Want some dinner?????

Hope you all are having a great weekend. I have been very busy (Hendersonville on Friday and company yesterday)... We've also had some wicked storms. I didn't get a Bluebird picture yesterday since it rained and rained and rained late in the afternoon. I hope to get a picture tomorrow.

Hugs,
