Santa Came!!!!!

See our shirts????? We do BELIEVE!!! (Thanks to our friends, Judy and Charlie, for giving us these shirts from their visit to Santa Claus, Indiana.) We must have been really good little boys and girls this year --since Santa did come to our house this year!!!! He even ate ALL of the cookies, and drank all of his milk!!!!! (Must have been hungry!!) Here are a few pictures from our Christmas here in Fairfield Glade.

Here is a gorgeous close-up picture of part of our Christmas tree which George took on Christmas Eve. I love the colors in this photo.

Our tree, early on Christmas morning; Our weather here was rainy and windy! NO White Christmas for us--but Santa still managed to get here!!!

First, we had to check out all of the goodies in our stockings!!! Thanks, Santa!

Blogger friend, Shelley, (click HERE for her blog) sent us these two gorgeous Cardinal ornaments. Shelley KNOWS how much we love our backyard birds, including the Cardinals. Thanks Friend!!!!

My Sweetie gave me two new Willow Tree figurines for my collection. I love love love this one since it is ME. Her name is the ANGEL of HAPPINESS, free to sing, laugh, dance...create! Don't you love the birds on her arms???

I couldn't resist getting George this hat. It says: "Don't Forget My SENIOR DISCOUNT! (I know, I look too young for it!)"... Since we go to Kroger's every Wednesday JUST for our Senior discount, I felt this hat was perfect for him.... (Got myself one also--since I cannot let him be out-done!!! ha)

My second Willow Tree angel is the ANGEL of the HOME. Isn't she pretty??? A friend asked me about these angels, so I had to look at the Willow Tree Angel web page to get the link for her. Uh Oh----there are probably 20 more of these angels that I'd love to have. (I gave the link to George just for the fun of it!!!!! ha ha)

Here is our 'big' present from Santa (to both of us). We got a bread-maker.... Neither of us have ever had one---and we even tried it out on Christmas afternoon... We made some delicious sourdough bread. YUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

From beautiful Fairfield Glade, TN, these two lovebirds hope that you had as nice a Christmas as we did... NOW---we all have to change gears and switch to the New Year.... The time just keeps flying by... Pretty soon, it will be spring and we'll be waiting for a new crop of roses. My My!!!!

And the Angel Said...

MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL. On this Christmas Eve, I have more of my angel collection to share with you. Above is my gorgeous tree-top angel --which I used when we had a HUGE tree. She's too large I think for the tree we have now. SO--she sits on the table guarding over all of the other angels. Below are more, including my favorite collection, the Willow Tree Angel Collection.

This is BABY ANGEL. Don't you just love his expression?

This are my two GLASS ANGELS---sparkling and reflecting the lights all around them.

A friend gave me this sweet angel since she knew that "I" am the ANGEL COLLECTOR.

DREAMING ANGEL (my personal fav, since I'm such a 'dreamer')

All five of my Willow Tree Angels; Aren't they just fabulous?

All of the angels and I wish you a very Merry Christmas. Remember that the birth of Jesus is the real REASON for the SEASON. May God Bless EACH ONE of you.

I feel so blessed to know so many of you in more personal ways, besides just being 'blogger friends'. I feel as if I have many new lifelong friends now. Thanks to each of you for being a part of my life. MERRY CHRISTMAS. I'll be back to blogging on Monday (28th).

My Christmas Angels

Well Folks---today is December 23.. Are you ready for the big day???? I am---but wish I had another week just to sit and relax and enjoy all of the joy which comes with Christmas. Wouldn't it be great if ALL of us could keep this joy inside our hearts all year long????? BUT--I guess if we did that, that would take some of the specialness away from Christmas. SO---I'll enjoy it as long as I can and I hope you will also.

Today and tomorrow, I will share my favorite Christmas Collection, my ANGELS.. I don't know how long I have been collecting angels---but I guess it has been most of my adult life. The header above in the middle of my blog is one of my favorite newer angels.. She's my largest angel --and I purchased her one year at a little shop in Arkansas. Her name is NOEL. Isn't she gorgeous?

Above this post is a picture of my Texas Cowgirl angel. I bought her when I lived in Texas (for 12 yrs). Below are more of my angels.

I just had to show you this angel. I got her about 1963 as a treetop angel---when I had my first Christmas tree. Wish I had a picture of our first Christmas tree back then. We had ALL blue lights --and we sprayed that horrible snow-spray all over the live tree... Mercy Percy!!!!!

This angel is definitely dated!!!! Look at the eyebrows and the blue eye shadow.... Yipes!!!! AND that blonde hair makes me call her Marilyn Monroe!!!!!! Can you believe that I saved this one all through the years?????? ha ha

This little girl was made by a friend in Hendersonville, TN after George and I were married. I had this friend make one for each of my granddaughters. Isn't she pretty? Her name is CAROLE.

You can't really tell by looking at this angel, but she is made using a white rose bud. She is gorgeous (her name is ROSE)---but you have to SEE her to appreciate her.

This little singing angel looks so angelic, doesn't she???? She is ceramic and has been in my family for many, many years. I think my parents got this one JUST for me ---since this angel is SO me..... And her name is BETSY. Angelic, right????????? Well.....................

Uh Oh----Look at the back of this little angelic angel... What do you see? A SLINGSHOT....??????? Oh My Goodness... She's not so angelic after all... (See why my parents got this one JUST for me??? Do you think they were telling me something??????? Hmmmmmm.)... Don't you just love the BETSY angel?????

Tomorrow, I'll show you more of my little Angel Collection.

Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas Adam (You know---the day before Christmas Eve is called Christmas Adam.... Right????)

P.S. Today is George's and my 102nd Monthaversary. We got married on June 23, 2001. Since we didn't meet until we were age 59---we have to celebrate months in addition to years. SO--tonight, we're going to the Olive Garden for dinner. YEAH!!!!
