I love this post! My dad had "company" plymouth station waggons until I was in high school and he bought my mom her first car that was just "ours". He drove the "company car". To this day, I love a jukebox, especially ones filled with the music of the 50's and 60's. A juke box with the song, "A summer place" takes me way back....lol Lake George, NY was a big summer draw for families but also older kids, 18-25 ish. It was Viet Nam and my girl friends and I rented a motel, I drove my Chevy Malibu up and I can still see the guys uniform walking the streets. Love all the Route 66 items. In Az, the most I really had were street signs from Route 66, we were on but nothing like your restaurant. Such memories. Thank you for sharing these delightful pictures.Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16235486703363466753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3915113069723845995.post-3280204094555713042011-07-30T17:24:04.224-05:002011-07-30T17:24:04.224-05:00How wonderful! I too, filled in those books for my mom but I think they had to fade out as I got to be a bit older.

It was so neat to come off of your family post to this one. I shared about my great grandparents ~ they had sooo much of this stuff in their home! They had a pool billiard room and it was connected to their living area but could shut it off as well. Anyways, they had a pin ball machine, pool table, pokeno table, awesome signs every where, a glass pop bottle machine, a bar set up with some of the coolest little stuff you have ever seen. I was sooo sad that when they died I wasn't allowed the chance to go through ANYTHING of theirs. Still makes me soooo sad but thanks for sharing this and allowing me to go back and think about all the wonderful times we had there!Lorenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02342381156917160229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3915113069723845995.post-73166154272252587742011-07-27T10:47:14.190-05:002011-07-27T10:47:14.190-05:00Hi, Betsy, what a cool place. Betty Boob, PaDiddle, the old cars, soda fountains, and old Juke Boxes are still part of my many memories from back then. Getting 6 plays for a quarter on the juke box, a cherry soda for a dime, ice cream sundies for 15 cents, and just hanging out at the local soda fountain. These are all fond memories of the past. I'm so very sorry to see that these day's have gone and never to return.Les Barrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14469804584564038796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3915113069723845995.post-64797531637268998142011-07-26T20:25:26.273-05:002011-07-26T20:25:26.273-05:00Betty Boop and S&H Green Stamps...the stuff of...Betty Boop and S&H Green Stamps...the stuff of my childhood!
