Lawdy---Lawdy---Look who's ????????????

SIXTY EIGHT!!!!!!! Holy Cow---that's older than dirt, isn't it?????? Yipes!!!

Yes---I must admit that TODAY is my BIRTHDAY!!!! I cannot believe that I'm having another one so soon... Has it really been a year????? ha

Here are some pictures for you--starting with the one above. Sorry the picture is so bad!! That is Little Tubby Betsy in her baby carriage----taken WAY back in the olden days, in 1942!!!!! Below are more!

Well----I told you that this old lady has ALWAYS loved snow.... This picture was taken in about 1945 in my yard in Big Stone Gap, VA (my hometown).

Looky Here!!!!! That precious little girl is now a COWBOY... She loved Roy Rogers ---and even had a Roy Rogers lunchbox at one time.... How 'bout that????

Now---a high school graduate!!!! See how SMART she looked???????? ha ha ha

Oh ---to be young again!!!!!! (Nah---don't want to go through it all again!!!! ha).... BUT---I do wonder how someone like this could turn into................................

.............................THIS?????????? Ha Ha HA!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day on MY birthday!!!!! The Love of my Life has planned a BIG SURPRISE for me... I'm SO excited.... I'll blog again on Monday--and then, we both will know what it is...

Hugs,

Huge Happy Birthday Betsy. You are still a puppy.
Loved the pictures and fun to know you were a Roy Rogers fan also. I once ran away from home trying to get to him.
That last picture was perfect and a hoot.
Enjoy your fun surprise and be sure to share.

I hope you saved that Roy Rogers lunchbox. It would be worth a few bucks now. We grew up in the same era. Wasn't it wonderful? Neat pics!

Happy Birthday, you Youngin' you! Only 68? Wait till you roll up and over SEVENTY THREE, like me, My Dear! That's when we start talking "Old As Dirt"! :-)

What a great bunch of cutie-pie old photos you have. This is lucky. I don't seem to have that many. Or maybe, they aren't all in one place. My fault of course.

Anyway, how convenient that I came to give you a link to a new blogger I just met. One who has a lovely photo of a NZ waterfall pictured today [Aug.5] And when I see a beautiful waterfall, I think of BETSY!

Convenient 'cause I can make believe that I'm giving you an introduction to Pauline at The Paddock in NZ, for your Birthday. :-)

Have a lovely time, with your Birthday surprise!!!

Here is a song that we sang in the church I grew up in. We sing it at every family birthday and so has very special meaning to us!

"May God watch over you year after year!
And fill your birthday with blessings and cheer!
Working or resting may you ever be
Happy on earth and thru eternity!
Happy birthday, Happy Birthday
Many returns of a Happy Birthday!"

(I sang as I typed ) Praying your day is blessed and your time together precious.

You are such an encouragement to me in many ways. Thank you!

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy BIRTHDAY dear Betsy, happy birthday to you!! And many more!! You will have to imagine the voice and add the tune! And what a year to rejoice! You are recovering well from your knee ordeal! I know George will give you a wonderful birthday and I can't wait to see all the pictures. Wonderful pictures, you are still just as beautiful as ever, it radiates from you. But that picture of the high school graduation is really something. The look on your face is priceless. Trepidation of the furure out in the big world. Uncertainty and youth.
