Views from North Carolina

This is the fourth post about our trip to visit friends in the North Carolina mountains. Today I'll feature three different views for you. Above is one view of the mountains taken from Judy and Charlie's deck/porch. They are so lucky since they have a view year-round!!!! Below are other views. Be sure and click on the photos for a enlarged photo.

This view is a picture of Judy and Charlie's back yard (left side)---taken from the porch above.

We had some rain off and on while we were in North Carolina. The clouds always make for a beautiful sunset, along with many other great views. This view (like all of them) was taken from the deck/porch. I sometimes use the word porch (the covered area) and the word deck (uncovered area). Who knows or cares????!!!!! ha

Aren't those clouds gorgeous???? They look like they are telling a story. What a marvelous view!!!!

Another view from the deck; You can see the road below their home. The North Carolina mountains are just awesome.

I like this daytime view because of the beautiful clouds.. We also saw quite a bit of fog on the mountains at times, especially after the intermittent rains. Judy and Charlie's porch has a metal roof---so when rain hits the roof, the sound is just so enjoyable while sitting on the porch. As I've said many times, the entire trip was fantastic!!!

Another view of Judy and Charlie's back yard (right side); See the 'shed' out back!

Here's one more picture of their view during the daytime ---with interesting clouds all around.

Finally, look at this view!!!!!! WOW is all I can say.... Isn't God's world just awesome in every way?????

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The "Rose of the Day" in our yard is named BEWITCHED. Isn't this one beautiful??? George brought a beautiful Bewitched bud into the house yesterday and put it in a bud vase for me on the table. It's so pretty, and since it is PINK, I thought about Blog friend Diane. Bet she'll like this one for sure!!!!!

Hope you have a great Tuesday!!!!
Hugs,

Hi Betsy, Your photos are all awesome. I would love to see all those views. I always wanted to go th NC or SC . But hubby always said no. He was a marine in nc. And said he had no desire to go back. Thanks for sharing the photos.

That view is breathtaking, Betsy---of both the mountains and the sky. Your friends are very fortunate to wake up to that every morning. And, as you know, I love my North Carolina mountains. :-)

I've enjoyed looking at your roses. What an amazing variety you have...and what a lucky woman you are to have the smell of roses in your house all spring and summer!

That view is incredible!I'd never want to leave.
And the rose is beautiful,too.

And you and George are moving in when??
Just beautiful there. Doubt I'd ever get a thing done but exercise my eye balls.
NC mountains make the Ozarks look like beginner mountains but after Florida, anything over 100 feet is a mountain to me.
You are going back when??

I agree to you, Judy and Charlie are so lucky. Wonderful views! Your rose is so beautiful. You are so lucky as well, Betsy. Have a great day. Hugs and love from Indonesia.

Just beautiful. We don't have a long-range mountain view, but we do enjoy sitting on our deck and porch overlooking the woods. The porch is covered and screened and such a wonderful place in the rain.

I am soooo homesick now. LOL My late husband's stepdad had Perry's Water Gardens in the Cowee area until he passed away. Now my BIL has them but doesn't take near as good care of them. There are so many different blooms and the garden is right in the valley of beautiful mountains.

What a fun time you had with your friends ... and what views.

I've had company but they are leaving today ... things will get quiet.

I'm sorry you missed the fledging of your bluebirds ... too sad. But there's always next year ... or we can hope they come back!

God is just awesome in every way!
Great pictures.I love the Smokey Mountains. We use to go there every year on vacation when I was a young girl. Love that place.

I have a bird question for you. Do you remember that birdhouse my daughter took picture of. Well it is packed full of stuff. I dont' think any birds are using it right now. Do you think if I cleaned it out another bird would come in there and start over?

Beautiful shots Betsy. They make me homesick for eastern TN. :)

The mountains of NC and TN are beautiful. That sunset was spectacular. Personally..I like "porch" ...it sounds homey. Our porch has a tin roof. Sometimes the rain is so loud you have to yell at each other, but it sounds great. FL land of thunderstorms.

Betsy,

Wow! To have a view like that everyday is a little piece of heaven on earth! There's nothing like the mountains to me! I love them! One of the most beautiful and awesome things I've ever seen was sitting on a porch watching a storm (lightning) in the mountains. Gorgeous! I looked at your pictures below too and you all look like you had a wonderful time together! That's great!
